2025.01.23 03:52 whirlingbervish Competent but inconsistent employee...what is next step?
I have an employee who's been with the org for 4 years now. Their skillset is strong and they have periodically been called upon as a subject matter expert. Their work is solid...when they do the work.
The ongoing struggle is lack of follow-through. They need frequent reminders and prodding and are almost always the last person to get their portion of shared work done and often others have to jump in to finish things up.
Recently, they have been calling in sick frequently. About 1 day a week for a variety of vague maladies.
I had them on a PIP a couple years ago and they did really turn it around, but now it's back to the same patterns as before.
I have expressed concern about their health and said they could request accomodations but they will not divulge any specifics with me (nor do they have to) and they haven't made any requests.
I just see little hope of this person improving and 4 years into the job, I'd like to expect more. Ive seen their good work but I can't trust I'll get consistent performance out of them.
Maybe just looking for a pep talk. Is it ok to just cut ties?

About a week ago our purchase deal unfortunately got canceled because of a relatively large appraisal gap that no one was able to fill. It's all good since we found another potential home for us. The sellers immediately signed the cancellation request under appraisal contingency; no hard feelings that I know of. The escrow company said we would have to wait until this morning to get our money back due to the holiday weekend. We waited and yet there is still no money. The bank says they see no pending transactions or cancelled wire. We tried to call the title company today but the person in charge is not answering the phone (apparently busy). We need this money for our next deal asap. What can we do about it?

For context: I wrote this the night after I finally grew a pair and left my (now, Ex) wife. I had a work friend who happened to be georgeous and young, but she was never more than a work friend. This was about 20 years ago and I have nothing to hide. We were never intimate beyond this one night where she provided a safe haven, and even that night, she just comforted me. There was no sex, that night or any other. She listened to me... held me when I needed to cry and be held. She let me hold her, under the glow of her candle of cinnamon apple on the coffee table. It was the worst night of my life, but she was a true friend and helped me (literally) to see the dawn of what could be. I drove away from her house as the sun was rising, we hugged, and I will forever be grateful to her for the care and comfort she selflessly provided.
It is said God sends an angel to any soul in need.
Now I am a believer, He sent one to me.
The golden glow of apples and cinnamon kissed her tender skin,
If I've ever beheld such beauty, I cannot remember when.
And as she lay, clad in soft cotton white, her beauty and tranquil grace,
For a moment, all too brief Granted passage to a better place.
When it's golden medley sang to me, I ran fingers through her hair.
Then her flesh, it beckoned me, I caressed as much I dared...
Under her warm and gentle gaze, My tortured soul was put to rest.
And if she give me nothing more, I'll take away nothing less.
The peace that she did give to me, Forever mine to keep.
That was the gift she gave to me, When I watched an Angel sleep.

I'm not saying that Jessie, James and Meowth should have left, but rather why they didn't close down Team Rocket as a whole, especially Giovanni, he already created an artificial Pokemon that could have destroyed the world, controlled three demigods and almost destroyed Unova. and should we simply accept that he will remain at large? my biggest problem is JN gave a lot of prominence to the rocket team as an organization I really thought they were going to close this page and I think they could have done that even before master 8 which wouldn't change much since Jessie and James don't even look like each other anymore being from team rocket in master 8, so how do you think they could have finished team rocket?

This is more talking to Saber, but can we please get an update to multiplayer? I know a lot of people don't play it like they do campaign but I really enjoy the pvpve style it's really different and entertaining and there's notuch like it.
I'd love to see a create a class style option where I can choose all my own weapons, equipment, heavy and such instead of being locked in to a preset class
Also on a side note I really hope they make a sequel and it has a bigger more robust multiplayer that has a lot more to offer like the create a class style I said plus more

2025.01.23 03:52 tcenn0csid Is this an emergency?
24 F, probably about 120 lbs rn and 5’7”. I had a CT scan done a few months ago that showed multiple ovarian cysts in addition to a cyst on my liver that was discovered prior. Ive been having some pretty severe stomach pains almost daily for probably a couple years now that I’m still trying to determine the cause of, but last night I experienced the absolute worst most excruciating pain I have ever experienced EVER in my life, like so bad I was crying and making goat noises until I passed out and that was the first time in my life I have ever cried from physical pain alone. I thought it was period pain before it got so intense, but I normally don’t get period cramps and if I do they are mild. This was genuinely unbearable, I thought I was going to die. I also can’t tell if I’m actually on my period or not, because all day yesterday was just spotting, and I’m not suppose to start for another 3 days. This morning when I woke up and went to the restroom blood kinda poured out but then it was spotting again until about two hours ago when I passed a huge blood clot. Idk I’m pretty sure a cyst ruptured but not sure if I need to be concerned. The pain is still there (it definitely feels like it’s my ovaries and vagina that are hurting) but it has gotten less painful there and now i have a huge migraine and feel extremely nauseous . I smoke weed daily and vape if that makes any difference.
