I’m struggling with this. I’ve been remote for almost 6 years now at my company, and they announced a June return to office. I work in an individual role, not one that really needs team collaboration anyway. I discovered that my cookie bite loss might be covered under an ADA because the loud office environment (there are about 350 employees on my floor in a cube farm type setup, and about half are client facing on phones), will be a big distraction for me and will probably cause hearing fatigue. I’m struggling with whether to use this to continue my wfh, because I feel like HR will accept it and roll their eyes, and then I’ll be that person. Has anyone gone through this process?

2025.01.23 05:10 Complete-Pension-795 How long can my car last needing a new timing chain?
Around the summer I took my car in and they told me the jerking motion that it would do while stopped (or going less than 30mph) was because of a timing belt needing to be replaced.
Because my car is a Chevy cobalt 2010 they told me the cost would be 2k bc they would need to take apart my engine to get to the chain. It's been a couple of months now, it has not gotten worse but it has not gotten better either.
I have not paid the 2k bc I'm genuinely very poor and don't have any money for a newer car either, so I'm not sure what the best coarse of action here is and how much longer I can use this car

Not sure if it’s just me but I’m noticing once I stopped using Mielle my hair seems to be doing better without it. My hair had gotten thin and brittle and I started researching and seeing other women saying the same. So I’ve stopped using it and I don’t remember how long it’s been maybe a few months but I see a difference.
I guess it just doesn’t work for me. I loved it at one point but lately I see I’ve seen improvements. Anybody else noticed this about their products?

There are studies and articles out there that state freeways are extremely polluting and have a negative impact on health to nearby residents. Intuitively, this makes complete sense. But looking at Air Quality maps such as IQAir, Purple Air, and Air Now, air quality measurements taken near freeways don't appear to be different from measurements taken from parts of the city away from freeways or from suburbs, or even from medium-sized towns a few hours out of the city. (Disclaimer is that I haven't scientifically tracked these numbers, this is me checking multiple times per week over the course of a year. I've been looking primarily at numbers for a select few Midwest US cities) This makes me wonder whether cities are really more polluted and unhealthy than anywhere else in the country.
Have we in the United States made progress in environmental regulations around cars? Compared to when I look as cities in India and China, it definitely appears that cities there have very poor air quality, especially near freeways.
Is air quality a reason to avoid living in large urban areas, or at least near freeways?

So I have my S10+ for about a year now and it was perfect, but lately my fingerprint sensor is not recognizing my fingers. So basicly I need to re configurate my fingers every day and they only work for a few hours before I need to do it again.. What could cause this? (no, no dirty screen/fingers etc. I have S23U and there is no issue there)
