hey all, new to this subreddit. I'm a witch of sorts and I was looking into bringing a haunted doll into my home- like a positive spirit- and I found this doll housing the spirit of this young child. something about them just clicked with me and Im planning to adopting them into my home and giving them a chill space to vibe in but I am a stoner and Im iffy about how to go about smoking while having a child spirit around. Would it be okay to smoke around the spirit or would it be best i step outside and smoke, since its a child and I don't want to expose a child to something like weed. Should i ask the spirit if its okay if i smoked around them? help?

My husbands father has had glioblastoma for a little over a year. It's been tough on everyone for a huge number of reasons as you know. I am struggling and feeling guilty / alone.
My husband and I have very different ways of handling things like this -- We've experienced death together a handful of times already. The way he is acting just doesn't seem right to me, however it's his father so I will not be jumping in to give my opinions more than I already have.
His dad has been bed ridden with zero quality of life for this entire journey.... His doctors really have never explained in great detail what he has.. it's all just very Oh if you do this you'll be better! Which as we all know is not likely.... of course miracles happen. Now, they have pretty much said (multiple Drs) that this is the end. Nothing is working, he's not elibible for any trials, he should start hospice.. etc. My husband is still finding random things that they can maybe try (not realistic) and NOT even telling his father the reality of outcomes. His dad very much so thinks Oh, yes I am going to be back to normal soon, living my normal life! He doesn't even know what day it is, sadly.
I guess my frustration is that I just find this whole situation so sad and unfair. His dad should know what is happening and he should know it's not much longer - where would he like to be / who would he like to be spending time with / etc. instead of trying different chemo / surgeries that have a very high chance of making things way worse. I just don't think this is any quality of life.
On top of that it just feels like me and my kids are completely losing our husband and father. He is never home, very checked out. All he cares about is his father - nothing else. If I bring anything up I am not met with a conversation, just gaslighting and defensiveness.
Am I the selfish one? What would you all do if you were me? :(

I (20F) was told there’s a possibility i might have IC and got a referral to a urologist to do a cystoscope which came out negative of any issues. i’m being prescribed many pills to see if it would go away or help ( i’m not sure lol?) and i’m just mentally exhausted with peeing and i can’t even handle transportation which doesn’t help since my college semester is starting soon. please give me hope and tell me your success with this issue

Since I've become Prestige Master (currently level 71) I've been thinking about which grind to really focus on. Camo or Calling Card challenges. Right now, I only have Diamond Camo on 15 weapons (33 is needed for next camos) but the thought of grinding headshots on handguns is daunting. Calling cards may be a bit easier and provide at least maybe a daily "win" when achieved. Just thinking of something to aim for while still playing the game daily.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from those who’ve navigated life after breast cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022/2023 and underwent chemotherapy at a private hospital, thanks to the health insurance provided by my employer. I’m now fully recovered and on tamoxifen for the next three years.
The situation: I currently work in a call center from home 2.5 days a week (including Sundays), handling 40–50 calls a day. The pay is just above minimum wage, and I haven’t had a raise in six years. There’s no room for progression as a remote worker, and I really dislike the job. The only major perk is the private health insurance, which I’ve valued a lot given my history.
I’ve recently been offered a new job at a local college. It’s full-time, pays more than I earn now, offers weekends off, lots of annual leave, and has opportunities for progression. However, it doesn’t come with private health insurance. I reached out to my current private insurer, and the cost of continuing coverage for my family and me would be £800 per month—more than I can comfortably afford.
My plan: I’m considering taking the new job and putting £800/month into a savings account instead. Over five years (while I’m still actively monitored and on tamoxifen), this could give me a significant nest egg (£48k) to cover private treatment if needed. My NHS surgeon is monitoring an active lymph node, which is reassuring but also a little worrying. Both my NHS and private oncologists are confident it’s related to tamoxifen and my implant, but it’s something we’re keeping an eye on.
If there’s no recurrence, I’ll have saved a good amount of money. If there is, I’d use those savings (plus some existing savings) to pay for private treatment, which I’ve priced at around £30k for the chemo I had last time.
My question: Would you stay in a job you hate for the security of private health insurance, or would you take the new job, save for potential treatment, and rely on NHS care if needed?
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s faced a similar decision or has advice on how to balance health, finances, and quality of life after cancer.

I've been having some problems with my new Mitsubishi heat pump system -- two units blowing cold air at night even when set to heating -- and I suspected it was due to kumo cloud fighting with the thermostat or remote. Given all the hate for kumo cloud, I decided to wipe out my scheduled programs. This seemed to potentially resolve the problem.
I went back to kumo to try to add programs back again, but there's no longer a "heat" option when setting the mode, just "cool", "off", and "fan."
Anyone ever seen this before?

I’ll be graduating in a year with my BA in psychology with a concentration in developmental psychology and adolescence. I already know what I want to do academically in the future (MA and psyD) and my end-goal career path, but I honestly only realized this month that I never thought out career paths for the time in-between getting my bachelors and actually starting grad school, and I feel so lost. It’s even more frustrating trying to do research with such vague information just to weed through all the articles that end up being sponsored ads, and everything else I see suggested seems to require a masters..
If you’ve gotten or are pursuing a bachelors degree in psychology, what career did you go into or plan on going into? Open to any and all suggestions, I’d appreciate all and any insight I can get.
