Im an recently returned player who hadn't played since sometime in 2019. I've been very active ahon these past 3 weeks. The alliance I joined jad plenty of strong players who have seemingly retired from the game now as we have had maybe 2 raids the last 2 weeks none of which in the last 10 days. Hey folks. I see a lot of people dogging themselves for being "anxious" or talking about how their ex got onto them about certain "anxious" behaviors. While that is certainly a thing to be mindful of and if it's problematic behavior you should definitely address it, there's sometimes something else going on.
I see a lot of blame shifting crop up in the form of weaponized psychology speak and someone avoiding addressing their, well..., avoidance isn't necessarily above penning the other party as "anxious attached" as a way to deflect accountability. If someone keeps saying one thing and doing another or playing hot and cold or any number of the other things people struggling with an avoidant attachment can say/do, of course that's going to drive anxiety. You're a person too. That's not to say you shouldn't be mindful of emotional regulation but don't be too hard on yourselves.
When in doubt, address it with an impartial third party like a therapist that specializes in attachment theory but don't let someone that has an ulterior motive convince you there's something wrong with you. I did. It took a lot of work to come back from that and I'm still not where I was before hand. Read some psychology journals and understand what *problematic* anxious behavior really looks like. We can all always be better but don't villainize yourselves for no reason.

Hey friends, I start ERP on Tuesday. Telehealth 10- noon five days a week. I’m excited but also scared. I’m excited to regain my control and power (I’ve been implementing erp practices for the past two weeks and I have noticed a decrease in rumination) I think that’s why I’m excited. And now one from KPMG as business consultant (8 LPA base). I'm confused which one to join. I've heard work culture is shit at both the places.
