Tomé malas decisiones (estudiar prof en artes plásticas a mis 20' y dejarlo a la mitad) ya tengo casi 25 y mis días se pasan en ayudar a mí mamá en la carnicería de un amigo a ser cajera y hacer milanesas y a la tarde ser ayudante de cocina. No entiendo porque hice mal las cosas a veces creo que puedo volver a los estudios y tener algo mejor en un futuro pero ya tuve ataques de ansiedad intentando entrar a la facultad de inge y en la de bellas artes me re deprimí. Ayer fui a la iglesia por primera vez en búsqueda de ayuda porque solo con el psico y psiquiatra no me está yendo del todo bien

I posted earlier this week about my partners ex texting him, and then I’m overhearing about a business they used to own together.
Today he told me a mutual friend of theirs called to say his ex was diagnosed with cancer and asked if he knew about it. Then he said he called the ex and she confirmed.
How do one reacts to this kinda stuff. Obviously, I am empathetic towards her and him. I’m also trying to be realistic and know they shared lots of history and love.
Genuinely looking for a compassionate discussion.

I am a massive Philadelphia Eagles fan and they are on the brink of playing in another Super Bowl here come Sunday if they are able to beat the Washington Commanders. My anxiety is through the roof to the point where I can’t sleep and my appetite is shot. I know if they lose it will greatly affect my mental heath, at least for a few weeks thinking of what could have been. Back in 2023 when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs I feel into a pretty solid state of depression for about a month thinking about what could have been. I’m hoping I’m not the only one who puts so much into something they can’t even control.

Jonathan Leake 22 January 2025 2:22pm GMT Wind power has collapsed to less than 1pc of Britain’s electricity supply as some of the stillest weather in years hits the UK and Europe.
The “dunkelflaute” spell sent winter wind farm output to what is thought to be its lowest since 2015 – when there were far fewer turbines.
Near-zero wind speeds and low temperatures have left the UK dependent on France, Norway, Belgium and Denmark to keep the lights on through much of today, with the countries collectively supplying more than 10pc of the UK’s electricity through undersea cables.
It follows Tuesday’s attack on wind farms by Donald Trump, who halted developments in US waters and called the turbines “inefficient, ugly and a threat to wildlife”.
The lack of wind also left Britain highly reliant on its ageing fleet of gas-fired power stations which were providing over 60pc of its electricity.
It meant that the National Energy System Operator (Neso) had to call in expensive extra capacity. At around noon on Wednesday, the Connahs Quay 2 power station was offered £745 per megawatt hour to start generating.

The normal price of power is around £100. The extra costs of that power will eventually find their way onto consumer bills.
Similar spells of minimal wind output have hit before, for example in May 2020, but almost always in spring and summer when warm weather means demand is far lower.
On winter days, UK electricity demand is typically around 35GW in the daytime but peaks at around 45GW in the evening. On very cold evenings it can hit nearly 50GW.
The UK’s 12,000 wind turbines typically provide around 10GW, but output can reach 23GW when the wind is blowing strongly.
However, for most of Wednesday morning the output of all 12,000 turbines was under 200MW – roughly what could be expected from just 30 large turbines on a windy day.
It meant wind farms were effectively contributing nothing to the UK power system – and on a cold winter day when evening demand was yet to peak.
The Met Office had warned of the likely calm spell – giving Neso time to make preparations.
It said winds over the UK, North Sea and neighbouring countries were set to be extremely light until Thursday evening, after which Storm Eowyn was due to arrive, with winds up to 100mph predicted on Friday.
Asked what preparations it was making for the calm spell Neso said: “We cannot provide a running commentary on the operation of the electricity network.”

However the last few days were among the tightest seen on the UK power grid in recent years. Ratcliffe-on-Soar in Nottinghamshire, the UK’s last coal-fired power station, would have provided an extra 2GW of power – enough to offer a comfortable safety margin, but it was shut down last September to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Richard Tice, the Reform UK energy spokesman, said: “Trump is right about wind turbines – they are ugly expensive and harm wildlife including huge marine life damage.
“People who invest by relying on subsidies for their long term viability should not be surprised that eventually people wake up and say this is wrong. I have no sympathy. Short-term subsidies may be justifiable but not long-term ones for investors.”

So, these 5 are pretty solidified for me.
Sepultura - Under Siege, particularly the VHS/DVD is the most energetic, full on metal display I've ever seen recorded. I, myself have been to 100s of metal shows and.... less than 1% of them even came close to the energy and aggression the crowd and band both showed on this release. I've watched this so many times that I can recite what the band says before and after songs and also the interludes that aren't even part of the show. This is pure God tier footage. If you haven't seen this 1991 Arise tour show... you need to ASAP.
Exodus - Another Lesson In Violence. I actually saw this tour. Not the show that was recorded but a few days later at the Mason Jar in Phoenix, AZ 1997. My friend broke his leg in the pit during Piranha. Baloff (RIP) was in top form. Andy Sneap provides a punishingly heavy as fuck production to Exodus' final hurrah with the OG Poser killer. Mr. Paul Baloff. Every time I hear this CD, it brings me back to that show in 97. One of the heaviest live shows to ever grace your ears!
Over Kill - Wrecking Your Neck 2CD- Over Kill has always been amazing live and this 90s show on the W.F.O. tour is a pinnacle of that fact. I wouldn't see them live for the first time until a few years after this double CD but hearing it is what caused me to fly from AZ to NJ just to see 2 of their hometown shows. The mix is a little muddy at times but the energy and song selection is off the charts. I'll probably throw this on again tonight for nostalgias sake. I've probably listened to this over 200 times front to back in my lifetime. Epic asf!
Nailbomb - Proud to Commit Commercial Suicide- This album is what sparked me to make this thread. Someone commented in another thread about how this live album "sucked". I.... just... what? Have you ever listened to this album front to back? It's amazing. To me, this live album is what Point Blank wanted to be when it grew up. Sure it doesn't have the best production but.... throw this thing on and listen to the crowd build up for "Wasting Away". If I ever listen to Nailbomb it's always PtCCS. Never Point Blank. Fuck it. I'm throwing this on again right now lol.
Slayer - Decade of Aggression. - Don't mean to be short here but.... yeah. It's Slayer. Peak Slayer before KK took the reigns. Great live album. Wish I would have gotten to see them in 91... but didn't get to until 96 for the first time. You know Slayer, you've likely listened to this. Not much more to say....

For example, I am 21 and as a kid I loved watching The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (I found the contrast between rich and working class interesting), Jessie (literally about rich kids in NYC), and Barbie Princess Charm School (has both prep school uniforms and glamorous dresses). I also loved the Eloise books (about a rich NYC girl at the plaza), and the Fancy Nancy books (about a bougie/posh little girl). In 2017, as young teen, I loved watching The Carrie Diaries and Jane By Design, both about a teen girl trying to find her way in the fashion world in NYC. I started watching the OG as a teen in 2018 and became hooked. I still haven't watched the reboot.

2025.01.23 09:44 Saraautofcontrol My mom abandoned me when I was 3, today I found a video of her teaching a little girl how to dance, having so much fun and being so cute. It devastated me.
I don’t know why exactly m but seeing her being so kind and sweet with this girl made me realize how much I missed in my childhood. It was easier to see her as a cold and mean women, but it doesn’t look like it. Looks like she’s very loved. She has more friends than me, she’s always traveling. She looks so happy and free. And I’m just a lonely and melancholic.
