2025.01.23 05:43 TheeBlackDeath Now that we've finally gotten the Mongol Outlander hero, the next Outlander hero will be...
I'm pretty sure this is just obvious as hell by now, or maybe people are just out of the loop, but given the decade of hype for it and even more hints with the Mongol hero being female-only, I think it's more than safe to say that our next Outlander will be the long-awaited Spartan hero at this point that is male-only. However the only question is, when will it come? Given we're more than likely expecting 2 other heroes to show up this year for the Wu Lin and possibly the Knights.

(I don't know if it should be buying advice, or GeaAccessories) I want to get serious as a photographer this year, I have been doing concert photography last year for free, and this year I wanted to get paid on my works. My concern is, I think I don't have the right "professional" gear yet and I am being limited gear wise. I am using Olympus Em5iii with 24 - 90mm (full frame equivalent) and 70-200mm (full frame equivalent) lenses. I'm leaning towards sony line, but I wanted to hear personal opinions of people here. I usually say something and then delete it before he sees because he sometimes sounds uninterested in things I say, so I assume he’ll react the same. I'm an orange belt in kyokushin. Yesterday we had a sparring session. Problem is, my stomach and solar plexus were pounded so hard because my guard is face level. I think if I drop my hands, I'll get head kicked and I think it's a lot more lethal than getting punched in the gut. My question is, how do I block these punches while still being able to defend my face from high kicks?

2025.01.23 05:43 Anderton101 Does anyone connect with the idea of a personal legend?
Strictly speaking I'm talking about the personal legend as described in Paulo Cuelho's story The Alchemist.
This story has always felt too me like a story of legend meant to inspire and guide more then to tell any facts of the world. However it feels like something I connect to very easily. Mostly with the idea of having a reason or purpose to fulfill as a being of the universe. It might be a way for me to understand and give myself my own purpose in life by leading my life by this principle. But it still feels like it has more to it.
It's probably the 5th time I've read the book and each time it gives me the same feeling of an attempt to fully understand and believe in myself. It's become more and more effective as I've become more and more isolated but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Should I become solely independent in order to fully realize this personal legend or are other people a part of or the end of my own personal legends.
I think the part of the book that has come up in conflict with myself the most is the way that love is treated in the book. It feels inconsequential and fated to occur rather then a relationship that is built. That I think is what gives me most of my hang ups with the philosophy as the way that I have experienced love has only made me fear it more then it feels worthwhile.

 | One of the coolest experiences of my life. I was on a morning walk at sunrise and came across this giant Osprey chowing down on a fish. I watched it for a while in amazement and slowly inched forward, realizing it didn’t care at all about me. I was able to sit on a rock up close and watch for 30 minutes. I'm afraid. I am a queer individual, (gender and sexual orientation) and I am AFAB. I have always been afraid to walk alone, or have any political pins, or shirts, so on. But now, I am properly afraid, it isn't just this nagging in the back of my mind anymore, it is the fact that whenever I see a *those* red baseball caps, I can't breathe, and it feels like the room is tightening around me. I have not been able to sleep for the past week because of the fact that it feels like my whole existence is under attack. I don't need any solutions, I don't want to seem like I'm making this up or being dramatic. I just need to get this out of my system because I have nowhere safe to confide anymore.
