It was the 22nd of January, 2025. I was laying next to my partner. One arm under their head, our legs intertwined. They fell asleep first. I looked at them, studying the way their hair fell asleep it dried from the shower we took together. How their eyebrows furrowed slightly as they slept, a small wrinkle in their forehead from it. How their shoulders fell asleep they snored slightly. I remember thinking how beautiful they were. How stunning they looked. How could someone look at you and think anything else? I was content in the moment with them. I wanted the world to stop so I could be in this moment with them. The person i love the most in the world.
With how the US is today, I wanted to turn my brain off. But, I couldn't. My rights as a nonbinary person were already ceasing to exist. What was next? Was it going to be my ability to marry the person i love? The person i want to spend my life with. I looked at my left hand, at the ring that sat comfortably on my ring finger. A symbol of my love. And, all i could think was how I want to marry them in a heartbeat, to solidify the symbols of our love and commitment to one another. I want to shout to the world that this is love. Our love is safety and happiness. Contentment and warm. I love my partner. And It's upsetting that our rights can be taken away and are seemingly on the chopping

2025.01.23 05:38 Home-Perm Just finished Season 1 finale....
and OMG this show is so good. I found this show after watching American Primeval and I mean, Deadwood is far and away a more complex take on the so-called Frontier. And it's so goddamn funny and tragic. JFC the Reverend's tale; Al, the dark angel of death. And when Bullock and Mrs Garret finally get together it was so earned like, IT IS HAPPENING!! And she's got all those chunks of gold! lol Poor Sol, though, starcrossed in a different way with his gf Trixie. And just...Seth ripping the badge off that false sheriff lmfao. So many class moments. The costumes are top notch and they don't look overly stylized or cheesy. It seems like they portray the opium problems people had pretty accurately, like a lot of women were addicted to opium at that time. Overall great show, like classic western elements but just searing, literate dialogue that can be just so hilarious and dry.

I made a shawl for a friend about.. a year ago I think. I just wanted to do something nice for her (because gift giving is my love language) but since I mentioned I had a gift for her, she had been very dodgy about meeting up or even just me giving it to her. We've been friends for a few years now and stuff like this isn't out of the ordinary. The last time I tried to get in touch with her she seemed very excited but was always unavailable. And I get it, life is busy.
I'm growing tired of this shawl just lying around my house because I have no where for it in my space. It's not colors I like (reds, oranges, yellows) so I wouldn't wear it and I've already made myself one. I'm tired of reaching out when it just becomes the same thing. She doesnt respond or she's always unavailable, or I get the "we will do something soon"
I get we are adults and we are busy but she recently started only texting me when she wanted something and stopped replying when the things she wanted weren't available to her through me. Or she just wouldn't reply even if she would start the conversation. But every time we see each other in public, she is always so excited to see me and almost always comes running up to me before I can approach her.
At this point, I'm not concerned if this friendship continues or not because I've been trying to spend my time and energy on people who want to spend time with me too. I don't have a lot of either time or energy and I just don't have the space or mental capacity to be filling cups when no one is pouring back into mine. I'm dedicating 2025 to better energies, healthier relationships, and setting/keeping my boundaries.
I feel like I sound cold and like an AH but throughout my life, I've never had a steady friendship and it's always been like this. When I'm invited, it's like just to fill in or always a last minute thought. I'm just tired of trying to have friends or be a friend because I'm over this cycle. I do get in my head about these things a lot because since I've became a SAHM, my social anxiety has gotten worse. But at the very least, I try to be a good friend.
So would I be the ah if I sell or give away this shawl to someone who would actually want it?

So I use swww to set my wallpapers, and echo the wallpaper into a special file called $HOME/.config/hyp.current_wall
I want to use the contents of this file to act as the path to background for hyprlock. however, I cannot find a reference to the same anywhere.
