2025.01.23 06:53 Nyzan Professions feel completely useless as a casual player, am I wrong?
I'm a casual player and I just feel like professions are almost completely useless. With all the gathering bots running rampant mats are worth nearly nothing (I can get 10k/h, 15k if I'm lucky). There is also no point in levelling crafting professions, it just takes so long and the market is insanely competitive so prices are low enough on the mid-tier gear that I don't have to worry about breaking my bank. Only profession I've been eyeballing is Engineering for the utility but people are saying it's incredibly lacklustre in TWW (more like ever since WoD :P).
Am I right or am I just a doomer? Is it worth leveling a profession in TWW as a casual player?

I think pretty much everyone has seen the giant number of EOs Trump has carried out (fuck the revocation of remote work btw). I was curious to know what everyone's thoughts are on the revocation of birthright citizenship in regards to Asian Americans.
I also did a bit of poking around on the 'net but didn't seen much on the actual stats regarding the potential numbers of Asians that would be affected by different interpretations of the 14th amendment. So concrete numbers are super welcome!
I personally, am not well versed in the legalese of everything being spoken about, nor would I call myself very educated or up to date with the way citizenship works legally as well as what has been set by precedent and what is outside the bounds of the law. But I haven't seen anyone else post this so here it is I suppose.
My initial thoughts (being uninformed) are that it's good that it isn't retroactive. It's bad because regardless of the effect of the EO itself, it threatens the whole point of having congress exist and a balanced political system where no single branch has way too much power. Anyway what do y'all think?

The small beaches along the river at Martha Mclean-Anza Narrows are some of my favorite spots in Riverside, but trash often gets left behind. I spent a few hours on Sunday afternoon clearing out one of the beaches. There's still more to do, and I could use a hand or two to haul out a larger item still in place.
No matter what, we can make our places a little bit nicer for ourselves and our neighbors.

What are some thoughts about applying an ultimate charge penalty if teams stack more than 2 of a certain role. This change would be mainly aimed at adjusting how triple support feels to play against. What if they had a 10-20% reduction in ultimate charge speed to those in a role that had >2 player representation.
So, the reduction would not affect tanks/dps if you stack 3 supports and so on.
I think this would discourage play styles that are obnoxious while still having them “playable” for those that find value despite the ult charge reduction.
Would this make 3 dps comps unplayable? I’m like plat-diamond… curious what people from other ranks think.

Used it for on the iPhone 13 and 14 and have to say that the cutout for (PEAK DESIGN PROPRIETY ACCESSORIES) are not comfortable in everyday life, it cuts into your fingers. The quality is not there, forcing me to send in the cases twice for delamination. Peak design is quality is not what they promis anymore. It has all been outsourced to vietnam or china from what I have seen. They will replace things but that is not the quality the company promises.

I know this post will probably be removed but I wanted to express my dissapointment with the mods of this subreddit over the whole Elon Musk Nazi salute thing. Guys, this is a subreddit for discussing Monster Hunter. This isn't the place to discuss politics. I'm not really a big fan of Elon either but the salute he did was to the side and he put his hand on his heart first. That's not typically how you do the Nazi salute.
But regardless of whether it was or wasn't that salute, I don't believe such topics have a place here. This space shouldn't be used as your own personal weapon to deal with whatever political issue you have a problem with. But if you're going bring up politics, at least have the integrity and character to allow people to disagree with you in the comments. Locking comments on the post, which is what you did, just makes you look like cowards and validates people's criticism of Reddit as an echo chamber.
I'm still going to use the subreddit and have nothing personal against yall but I wanted to express my opinion on the issue since I wasn't allowed to on the post in question.
