so i'm writing a story where (grossly summarized), the protagonist (kalki) starts a revolution against the capitalist dystopia they live in. for this, they recruit a hacker (damian), who once headed a group infamous for their hacking skills and proficiency with identity theft. he's spent much of his life so far trying to acquire the resources to build a powerful computer, capable of breaking through the company (vishasha)'s security measures in about a week (as opposed to decades), but mounting bills forced his team to disband, crippling his ability to earn money. he's currently looking for enough money to buy one last part to get his setup operational, and so he hacks into kalki's servers (which, in my current draft, protected by software he pirated from Vishasha). this is where i've run into an issue. i'm not a computer science guy in the slightest, and i have no idea how computers work, let alone hacking and cryptography. so i'm looking for on some advice as to this whole thing.
1stly: how exactly would a company protect important secrets/assets like bank accounts, employer info, and factory schematics (our protagonists team up to stage a grand heist on a big weapons factory), in this time (it's around the year 2237)? similarly, how would someone of lower status try to protect their digital belongings?
2ndly: how would one go about hacking through these security measures? i'm imagining damian infiltrates kalki's servers personally, as without his crew, he doesn't have the resources to do it remotely.
3rdly: what sorts of equipment do you think would be necessary to run these kinds of operations?
so yeah. that's my predicament. thanks in advance. i legit know nothing about computers and how the work so anything would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone else noticed that Google spent all this time forcing Apple to use RCS because Apple had a "monopoly" so to speak with imessage. Yet now that Apple has adopted RCS, Google has begun to monopolize it, not allowing 3rd party messaging apps to support RCS. Essentially forcing Samsung/other Android uses to explicitly use Google messages if they want to continue using RCS, because as of now Samsung is bringing Samsung messages to an end, now telling users to use Google messages before the app loses support. The worst part is, Google messages SUCKS in my opinion, no customization and missing many features I had on Samsung messages such as categories. I have a Samsung for the ability to customize my phone how I want, now because of Google I'll be losing that ability on my texting app when I'm inevitably forced to use their sh#t app for secure messaging.

It’s the only mod installed and I’m on a 2023 Razer Laptop which can run Elden Ring well. The mod works fine but every time I try and fast travel to the hold the game crashes. Hi! I recently was offered a job at Microsoft and my background check just completed, so I haven’t started yet. I’m not located in WA and my job is 100% remote. Im just curious—if there is a Microsoft office near me, can I go in and use it on random days if I want? Or is it only for those assigned to teams that work out of those buildings?
I’ve been remote since 2018 and it can get a little isolating/stir crazy, so would love the option to go somewhere, even for a few hours.

I’ve continually had red bumps/ patches on my toes for probably the last 2-3 years. At first I would just have a red sore spot on my left big toe. It would burn, itch, and be sore. But, usually after a few weeks it would go away. I would live without it for a little while and then it would just come back. Now it keeps getting worse. I’ve never had more than one at a time, but with this last flare up I have multiple on each foot and it almost feels like my skin is getting leathery? Pain wise they aren’t too bad but they’re really annoying and uncomfortable. They feel hot to the touch. I try to keep my feet dry and warm and I shower daily and lotion my feet. I’m at a loss and don’t know what it could be. I also get them throughout the year, not just winter.
I’m a 20 year old female, I have a mostly healthy history. I have been told that I may develop an autoimmune disorder because of blood work i had done when I was around 13/14 by my allergist. (I have a very odd history of moderate to severe idiopathic facial swelling around the age of 14, where the allergist couldn’t figure it out. I had blood work every 6-8 weeks and multiple allergy tests done. I was never allergic to anything and they said I had a low co1q reading). I have a short interval in my heart that was found around the same time. I have had covid, and the first 2 rounds of the Pfizer covid vaccine. (Upon googling I thought I could have covid toes). I do also believe I have poor circulation, my feet and hands are always cold and my feet are sometimes discolored .
