Problem/Goal: Unsure if which is better in the long run, financial growth or building tech specialization.
Context: I'm 27F with a total of 3 years and 5 months of IT experience. Ganito yung tech stack ko for these years:
3 months : trained to become a full stack developer. Main skill is java + springboot.
4 months : focused on certification, specifically cloud certification. Di nagamit sa project ever since.
1 year and 9 months : mas nafocus sa 3rd-party app na gamit ni client, only touched java once nung necessary na siya for bug fixing. Naging bonak sa java + springboot since inaaral nalang yung 3rd-party app. Became obsolete as a result.
3 months : asked to transfer to tester, became an automation tester due to prior experience in programming. Used Katalon Studio.
4 months : used Selenium with Appium to automate functional tests in mobile.
6 months : UiPath (RPA) for automating desktop, web, and mobile applications.
Recently may job offer ako, but gamit nila C#. Yung responsibilities ay halong developer, manual tester, and automation tester. The salary offered is 20k more than my current one.
It is a tempting offer, but I wonder if this will be good for my career? Yes malaki nga increase sa sahod, but which is better in the long run? Focusing on financial growth or building tech specialization?

hello all!!! seeking advice on finding a good used compact SUV. my must haves are cruise control on the steering wheel, decent mpg, and under $12000. ideally, i would like for it to have a sunroof/moonroof, 4wd/awd, and keyless entry (keyless start would be nice but not necessary with my budget). I’ve been driving a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara and it’s just officially at the end of it’s life. it breaks my heart to have to get a new vehicle as I’ve yet to drive anything I enjoy as much, but I have no other choice. I’ve been primarily looking at Honda CRV’s, Toyota Rav 4’s, and Subura’s (bigger Outbacks, Crosstreks, and Foresters). I absolutely LOVE the Forester overall, but everything I read shows some years are superrrr iffy. really just seeking anyone’s advice at this point, especially with how rough the car market is right now. thanks so much in advance sincerely, a 20 something who knows nothing of cars

I have been scared of blood and fainting for a looooooong time. I have fainted multiple times during blood tests, after seeing blood on a tv show etc. and became anxious even around sharp objects in case they would make someone bleed.
Well, over the last year I had been making an effort to expose myself to more and more situations where I could see blood and faint (e.g. getting more bloodwork done, looking at pictures of blood and wounds) and it did help with my anxiety.
Donating blood was a kind of "final boss" of confronting my fear and yesterday I DID IT!! It was surprisingly easy, the nurses were so nice, and everything went so smoothly. My recovery has been really good as well, no dizziness whatsoever.
I just keep smiling still, and will absolutely donate again later this year. If you have a similar fear I believe in you 100%!!

I have a Web Development startup, and what frustrates me the most right now are the clients. I have a good team, but I can’t find a sufficient volume of clients to keep them continuously busy.
Because of this, I’ve thought about increasing our Marketing staff. We still don’t have a formal Marketing team; it’s mostly the typical commission-based personnel. I usually offer 5-12% of the total value, along with plans where, if they bring in multiple clients, they get higher commissions or extra payments.
This is all I’ve come up with to attract personnel because I need a large number of commission-based people to achieve a satisfactory client volume. I’m not too demanding—if they know our field and who might be interested in our services, that’s enough for me. But even with this approach, I have no idea where to find them. Can anyone recommend a group or some people?

Hi all. So my fiancé and I are trying to name our puppy (see my profile for pics or go here: https://www.reddit.com/NameMyDog/comments/1i7oj10/brainstorming\_names\_for\_our\_little\_boy/) and we came up with a pretty solid list. Here is what we are now working with:
- Clifford
- Vosco/Roscoe
- Angus
- Apollo
- The name 'Clifford' uses part of our house's name (Cliff). Homes and cottages in the UK are sometimes given names. This is also our first home we have bought together.
- 'Apollo' is a name we really like, but is riding the high of mythology names right now and we aren't one for trends really. However, we have some concrete reasons for shortlisting this name! My fiancé and I met each other in person for the first time in Nice, France. On our first day in Nice together, we went to a famous fountain square/courtyard which is black and white checkered. Our puppy is black and white, and when I tried thinking of black and white things, I thought immediately of a checkerboard and of the fountain square. Today, when we googled what god is featured in that fountain, we learned it is Apollo. Years later, we got engaged in Paris which has a very heavy association with Apollo, as he was revered by Louis XIV. Apollo is the god of sun and light which also feels kinda like a happy omen. I like the idea of this puppy being our light and joy in a kinda difficult time for me (I lost my job).
- 'Angus' because we live in Scotland. Also it means "one strength" or "one choice" and this boy is our one choice, and with my fiancé and I being engaged, it also feels fitting. But like Apollo, I fear Gus is also overused.
- 'Vosco' in vulgar latin (casual latin basically) means "with you" and I thought that was so fitting. 'Vasco', which is close, means 'little crow'.
