2025.01.23 16:57 Formal-Variation7656 Symptoms of Hypothyroidism or Results of Unhealthy Habits
Please excuse the grammatical errors as English is not my first language
First, please don’t misunderstand my question a form of belittlement to any of you whom are experiencing this health issue. I understand that hypothyroidism comes in complex forms and effects in the body so please do not misjudge my intent to question this:)))
My question, as the title suggests, is do I simply have bad habits that leads to the following or is it a cause of hypothyroidism? I’m asking this because I’m deciding whether to have a blood test this month and risk a chunk of my allowance. My family thinks that the symptoms are a result of bad and unhealthy habits and I think so too but I just want to be sure because my family has a history of diabetes.
I am sharing this to know If any of you have the same thoughts regarding the following.
- Always feeling cold: Every day I feel cold but I notice that I’m always cold whenever I wake up. But after I showeget ready for the day I feel less slightly cold but minutes or hours later I feel cold again. I’ve been told that I feel cold because I wait a long time before getting ready after I wake up. I’ve also been told that it’s because I don’t do physical stuff much (I study or bed rot)
- Body aches: Everyday my body feels heavy and my muscles and joints ache. My arms, elbows, back, legs, and knuckles. I thought that this may be a result of not being physically active, always in bed, and vitamin deficiency?
- Frequent Headaches on the side of my head: I think this is cause by my bad habits because I only get such small amount of sleep during the night and don’t have time to eat because of my studies. I also eat fatty foods because that’s the only food I have the energy to eat (Vitamin deficiency can also lead to head and body aches?). I also stare at my phone and laptop frequently which I think explains my eye on one side of the head to throb frequently. I use glasses when I got it checked (because I was having headaches again) it was still the same grade.
- Always feeling sleepy: During weekdays and sundays I only get about 2-6 hours of sleep (averaging on 4 hours). So as I get home from campus at 4pm I always sleep until 6-7pm then eat and study until 11-3am (I am still sleepy after I wake up from the nap). But I also feel sleepy throughout the day on weekends even if I have slept for 12hrs. I always connect this as my body making up for the hours I did not slept on the weekdays.
- Brief dizziness after standing up: I am always studying in bed or bed rotting in bed so If I stand up suddenly I’ll feel a little woozy and have a slight blurred moment?
- Overweight: I eat and don’t exercise. My logic is that if I don’t eat, I’ll get a headache. And the only food that I have the energy to eat in more than 5 spoons are fatty foods with rice (Im asian). I also have a lot of craving and tend to succumb to those. I also always want to eat whenever I’m overwhelmed (I’m always overwhelmed when studying).
- Acne: My skin is oily in the face and back. I always feel that my skin is congested and I have a lot of clogged pores even though I wash my face twice a day. But my habit is that I wait a long time after waking up and eating dinner to wash my face. I also have a lot of painful acnes in my temple and jaw and along my ‘sideburns’ near the ear. But most of my research regarding hypothyroidism shows that most cases are dry skin.
- Depression: Have had depression since I was 12 or earlier? I’m 19 now and I’ve felt used to that heavy feeling in my throat and chest. I also cry a lot lol. Even in videos that are not even that sad. I also stress a lot due to college and family matters.

Does anyone remember the name of this certain book?
I remember only parts of the plot for the book but unfortunately I read it not so long ago, but long enough to forget. I can remember somethings pretty vague about the book but the title? I can't remember
The parts I remember are this:
the characters lucky and fortuna. it was a book where they are brothers. it was something related to the bay. lucky was 13 or 14 and fortuna was around in his 30s? lucky was working like a slave and met a girl who taught him how to swim. The name of Lucky's dad I forgot but something like Blackbeard or something. Lucky and the girl were trying to escape to avoid getting shipped to another country.
This is all I can remember
(additional):, the setting was by a shore like a bay? Somewhere like an island but I don't think it was an island, it's supposed to reflect on history back in the 1800s about slavery with the dark skinned people and lucky was dark skinned so he was used by his brother as a slave, and the end of the book they were getting send from or to Africa? So they were trying to escape from the ship as it already went afloat? That's all I can remember
I would really like it if anyone can help me find the name or tell me the complete plot of the book

Need to replace heater for tenant in london area, I have no idea what to pick. I have been quoted for three heaters and work:

I don't want to chose a crappy option and have complaints but also don't see exactly how double the cost is worth it. Sure cheaper night electricity, but panel gives you instant heat no?
I am contemplating just letting the tenant decide, based on his lifestyle, work from home (storage heater) or 8-5 (panel heater) I guess?
Greatly appreciate any replies, need to give a decision eow

 | Hi pictures are from a window in our bathroom. We had some mold growing which I cleaned after I installed a bathroom fan and I pulled off the vinyl casing and found mold behind it and cleaned it. It appears the frame from the old windows was left behind and new windows where just installed over it? Bathroom gets pretty cold and you can feel the cold come through the cracks. What is my best option here? I am curious to know how people in general view political analysts from both sides of the spectrum.
There is a clear demarcation over which political analysts supports the political alliance of the state. Likes of Nikhil Wagle, Prashant Kadam, Raju Parulekar have leanings towards MVA while the likes of Bhau Torsekar, Anay Joglekar, Analyser are titled towards MY. Neutral observers in the form of Bol Bhidu and The Politics exist.
A political analyst whom I interact with occasionally once told me Anil Thatte just blurts out stupid things, yet i find it funny to listen when i listen to it occasionally.
One observation i would like to point is analysts like Bhau Torsekar are open in criticizing MY which i feel likes of Nikhil Wagle and Raju Parulekar don't do it in regards to MVA.

Title says it all, have a non gaming laptop it's slow and only 5 stars for game speed with 1/2 countries top leagues only. Makes for a shitty game experience lots of wonderkids missed in leagues I don't have playable/viewable. Might be a dumb Q as I'm not super laptop savvy but is there any external device I can get to increase laptops ability to run more leagues? A hard drive esque device to make it process better? Again apologies if the terms make zero sense I'm the monkey with the cymbals when it comes to laptops and gaming ones specifically
