Hello,
I purchased my first Pixel 4a in February 2021. I chose Pixel because Sony Xperia were now too expensive ($1,000 cheapest price).
It was a solid phone, especially the camera, but I did notice the battery wasn't the best. The battery lost capacity too fast (way faster than Sony and Samsung for sure). After just one year, my battery had less than 60% of the original battery capacity. I do not use fast charging.
For reference, my Sony Xperia started to lose capacity three years after I started using it and my Samsung tablets usually start losing capacity after two years of use.
I bought a refurbished Pixel 4 and a refurbished Pixel 4a5g in early 2023. Pixel 4 was working fine until this nonsense. Pixel 4a 5g works better, but it's also losing capacity. Google doesn't have a service center in my country, so replacing the battery isn't possible (and changing the battery is extremely difficul even for professionals anyway).
I thought about upgrading to a Pixel 8a, but the camera is not even as good as the Pixel 4a. Pixel 9a is an option, but too expensive since I have to import the Pixels as they are not sold locally.
For the first time, I am seriously considering switching to another brand. Samsung S25 doesn't look bad. Samsung having a local service center also means I have valid warranty and I may even replace the battery. I'm scared for the pictures though as I have never had a Samsung phone (only tablets).
I know I cannot be the only one seriously consisting to send Google to hell.

A relative of mine asked me why I'm depressed about my height. I told him cos I'm way below average. He asked my height and I told him and cited the average too. He went silent and said nothing but "hmmm".
This is enough to tell me that even him find my height problematic and probably wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
I struggle with this daily. Therapy didn't work unfortunately, I wish it did. Still go though but less frequently, I used to go every week.
I hate looking at my legs due to how short they are. I hate that the only solution is an extremely expensive one and few surgeons are qualified to do it safely.
Note: This is not only about dating and attraction, it's about me and what I want for myself. Ofc, when it comes to dating, being short isn't attractive for the majority. I mean 5'5 short not 5'8 short.

Someone enlighten me what kind of scam or MLM/Ponzi scheme this is. Loads of stay at home mums with no real business acumen or followings are now suddenly travel agents, but mainly pushing others to become travel agents - as opposed to pushing their bookings/services. I know of the companies that charge you a small fee, and train you up to get ‘licensed’ so I guess it’s to do with that, and you get cheaper holidays as you get the TA rate but surely this isn’t sustainable for this many travel agents, are these people earning any real money?

 | I wanted to share my experience with my dog’s cyst removal since I haven’t seen much after endlessly Googling. I have a 4 year old Aussiedoodle who has had a painless cyst on his tail for about 2 years. I’ve had it tested and all tests come back negative. Every vet has said to just leave it alone since it doesn’t bother him. 2 weeks ago the cyst ruptured while he was playing outside. I took him to the vet the next day and they removed the cyst. My frustration with this entire process started when I picked him up. First, there was no bandage on his tail and as soon as he saw me his tail busted open simply from wagging. They took him back and bandaged it up and sent us on our way. 2 days later: my dog is big and can easily reach his tail with the cone on. I called and asked if they had any suggestions because I can’t watch him 24/7. They said “leave the cone on and he’ll leave it alone.” Later that day I tried to take a shower and came out to his tail bleeding. He had pulled on some sutures. I took him in and they put some staples in and gave us an oversized inflatable donut to wear with the cone. I asked for medication and they gave us a small amount. They told me to remove the bandage the next day and keep him away from it. 2 days later: unsurprisingly he could still reach his tail and broke open the other sutures. I went back in and they stapled the rest of it and gave us a donut that fit better. I asked for an increase in medication and they upped the frequency. 10 days later: we get his staples out and there’s scabbing and irritation from the bandage. They instructed me to leave it unbandaged and keep his cones on for another week. I get home and there’s blood all over the carpet. I carefully dabbed a paper towel to absorb the blood and there was still one staple in and a bloody mess. This was today so I’m not sure how this saga will end. I did get a more rigid cone from Tractor Supply and some bitter bandage. Paired with his medication (Gabapentin and Trazadone) this was really working. Unfortunately, it needs to stay unwrapped so I’m anxious to hear what they will recommend next. Just got a new SuperTacks X helmet with a Bauer III cage. When I tried the combo around the house, it felt pretty nice. Last night I had my first game with the new gear and after about 25 mins, I started getting some pains on both temples. Never felt this before with my old Bauer helmet with a Avision Ahead Hybrid. I used the Bauer hardware that came with the cage. Any advice?
