I’m currently 6 months on hormones and slowly coming out to my whole family. I currently live with my grandparents going to college. I hope to be an RA so I can have my own space. They seem pretty neutral and very anti trump. They actively know the struggles of queer people at least from the perspective they are being targeted currently. I don’t know where they truly stand at a personal level. I just know they believe gay people and trans people deserve to be treated equally.

2025.01.23 17:22 bjgally Thinkpad not starting up normally.
I’ve got a two week old lap that was working normally in class today. I closed the screen and when I came back to open it wouldn’t start up. I help down the power button for 30 seconds, and pressed it again. The Lenovo logo flashed for a brief second and then black screen for about 10 seconds. After that I get brief flashes from the top section of the screen that looks like the Home Screen but hard to say. No flashing from the power button or anything abnormal. Any troubleshooting that I could try with this one?

I've noticed recently that soda is the main culprit in giving me acid reflux while fasting, so I stopped drinking it. There is another unexpected benefit that has come up since I stopped: I'm so much fuller!!
I never thought about it before this, but soda makes you feel full for a while with its carbonation, but then it quickly fizzles out, and the extra space that was filled by the carbonation feels very empty afterwards!
Maybe that's why I was always so hungry all day: I was filling my body with something that only filled me up temporarily, and left me feeling more hungry afterwards!!

2025.01.23 17:22 T140V Modern equivalent to a Honda Pan European?
I've got more time on my hands these days, and fancy doing a bit more longer-distance motorcycle touring. Years ago I briefly owned a Honda Pan European, which ticked all the boxes for what I'd be looking for. Good handling, comfortable, decent carrying capacity more important than outright performance.
The obvious choice is something adventure-oriented, but the big issue is that I've got really short legs and can't cope with anything over a 29"/730mm seat height. I live in the UK, so narrow twisty roads are more often encountered than wide open highways.
All ideas welcome!
