I booked my mom a first class award ticket on AA metal using AS miles. MCO-PHX-PDX with a ~5 hour layover in PHX.
I would like to purchase her an Admirals Club day pass to use in Phoenix using 7,900 AA miles from my account. Is this possible somehow? I have tried online and found that I can buy her a day pass with cash, or buy myself one with cash or miles.
Given that day passes are subject to availability, ideally she could walk up to an Admirals Club in PHX, confirm capacity for day passes, and then would I purchase the day pass with miles for her. But I understand this might be tricky.
Any guidance appreciated. Thanks!

Hey, So I noticed that when I talk to people that are narcissists and I say things such as “I personally feel hurt when you … “, “I struggle processing when you … “, they immediately turn it into my problem. I had it often (not just from my narc parent, but also an ex-friend), “oh, if you struggle so much with it, I’ll leave you alone so you can sort yourself out” - without taking any responsibility for what they did. One person even said (about me) to someone we both know: “we had a difference of opinion. Poor thing, it hit her harder than meal So I wonder, do you think we need to communicate differently with a narcissist? Or wouldn’t that work anyway cause they can’t be blamed either?

2025.01.23 18:50 not_a_bear_honestly Cavity too big - needs root canal? Should I get a second opinion?

I starting going to a chain dentist office in my new city. My first appointment was a dental emergency for tooth pain (which resolved after my sinus inflammation/cold symptoms subsided) and a visible cavity.
They told me I had a huge cavity and while the root was fine and not affected yet, by the time they drilled all the cavity out, my root would be exposed and then I’d need a root canal. I agreed because it was visible a gigantic cavity, paid a reasonable price, and that was it.
I have another tooth that’s bugging me (technically two because it’s between molars). Absolutely no pain or sensitivity ever in that tooth but food is getting stuck. I go in again for a cleaning/exam and they say my gums are healthy, but again my cavities are big, root is fine and not affected, but they’ll be so close to the root by the time they finish drilling that they both need root canals and crowns.
I’m wondering if I need a second opinion. That would be 3 root canals and crowns (2k each) from this dentists office (and 0 regular fillings needed). Is it valid to ask them to try and drill/fill it instead of doing a root canal initially? And if it’s appropriate to ask that, is there any concern that they’ll disregard and do the root canal anyways and say they had to?

I turned on the feature yesterday and it worked just fine but suddenly it's not working today at all
No matter what song i use and i didn't change anything Literally nothing changed yesterday
I wish Spotify just didn't end their contract Genius for an arguably worse music site in Musixmatch, which already has several typos you can't change
So I had to resort to using genius actively because Spotify lyrics are always inaccurate and when i found out you can get notifications to look at lyrics to the song you're currently listening to, I turned it on to make it easier and it worked fine
But yet suddenly it completely doesn't work the next day with no changes to the setup or anything

I have an original 1958 or 1959 U.S. version of the Husqvarna Glider, of which I understand only 1000 were made. I also understand that the U.S. version was formally called the Corona Glider. I believe that production ceased on this model (and its European counterpart) in 1962. This scooter sat in storage for ~50 years before I pulled it out and (half-heartedly) sought to get it running again before trying to fully restore it. I've had it in a few different scootemotorcycle shops in Columbus, Ohio, and Minneapolis, but have not gotten it running. The tires were rotted and replaced. The drive belt was rotted off, but I've sourced a replacement. Filling the tank with fuel revealed that seals are rotted, too.
I'm posting here for a few reasons.
1.) I think what I have is really cool, and thought maybe others would think so, too.
2.) I hoped someone might know even more about this model's history.
3.) Does anyone know of a reputable shop in/around Ohio (I'm in the Columbus area) that would have a chance of successfully getting this old girl back on the road?
It has 27 miles on it.
