2025.01.23 21:02 Scarletttjp Am I in the wrong here?
Context: me and my friend are both queer
Today I was talking with a friend and their lesbian cousin was brought up, they mentioned about how the cousin had a girlfriend. I then said “that’s gay” as a joke. Then this straight guy infront of me turned round and said you can’t say that that’s homophobic. I explained what I was responding to and he still said it was.
Am I in the wrong? I thought gay was an umbrella term for queer people. Correct me if I’m wrong.

2025.01.23 21:02 dumbbumtumtum Stray has new large mass on ribs
Before anyone says “take him to the vet,” I am taking him to urgent care in the morning. This post is simply to get an idea if anyone has ever seen something like this on their cat before. This guy lives on our porch. We’ve provided a warming pad and hut for him and we provide fresh water and food when he’s around. He also disappears for sometimes a day or more at a time, but seems to consider our house a safe space. He came “home” with this mass a few nights ago and my guess is that it’s a blunt force trauma injury around his ribs. Another theory is that it’s some sort of growth or fluid build up, but the speed with which it appeared makes me think an injury. Weigh in if you like. I do understand this isn’t veterinarian advice and once again, he’s going to urgent care in the morning. Thank you to all you kitty lovers

What questions would you ask your employer in an interview to suss out toxic culture and if your manager is a micromanager? Or what key words would you look out for?
I feel like most will lie about it even when you ask related questions. So I wonder if there are subtle ones to ask.

2025.01.23 21:01 Perimeter_ Apartment Cleaning Advice
I rent a rather small apartment and am trying to set and maintain a cleaning routine. I vacuum 3 times a week and aim to mop (swifter with reusable, microfiber pads) weekly but it’s more like every two weeks. I scrub my kitchen sink weekly with dawn and baking soda. I run vinegar through my washing machine monthly. I clean my bathroom weekly (wipe counters, sweep and mop, clean toilet, wipe mirror). I deep clean my shower monthly with a solution of water, dawn, and vinegar and wash my bathmats monthly as well. For all purpose I use Mrs. Meyers all purpose concentrate diluted with water and a few tablespoons of isopropyl alcohol for disinfectant (I use this as mop solution as well).
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations about what I should add or modify to my cleaning routine?

2025.01.23 21:01 misosoupsupremacy The audio in this scene is an angel in disguise
Ok so there was this article in THR that is supposedly from an “unbiased” intimacy coordinator but I found it very strange that they never once mentioned the audio or any of the talking they do. It got me thinking so I went back and watched the clip, and it’s quite fascinating how this audio saves his life. I’m not talking about the spray tan or nose job comment however. I’m talking about how baldoni and lively are discussing the appropriate actions they will be physically performing in the scene. Both of them mention and discuss the act of leaning in, almost touching, and then pulling away before any kissing commences. She was informed and agreed to these actions in the audio!! This wasn’t just improv you guys, the audio confirms she consented to his actions. It’s so crazy because there is this argument that her body language is uncomfortable. To me it’s way harder to see, but she never says anything to communicate that to him that she is. But that is not the point, the point is in the audio earlier on. submitted by misosoupsupremacy to blakelivelysnark [link] [comments] |
