I named my pets Winston and Julia from the book 1984. Unfortunately, Winston passed about a year ago, and I am finally ready for another cat.
Does anyone know of any dynamic duos or romantic pairings from a fiction book in which one is named Julia? Please include title and author so I can read it before making a decision.
Boy or girl characters welcome - I don’t care if the name will not align with gender - I just want my cat to be named after a cool or interesting or funny fictional character (and also read some new books).

hello from your average arborist. in September of last year, i was crushed at a work site while operating a mini skid loader. i suffered 6 fractures in my pelvis and some minor lacerations on my legs. i was admitted into the hospital as a level 2 trauma, and received orthopedic surgery with screws and rods the next morning. fast forward to now, im done with physical therapy and after my first evaluation the WC doctors believe i should do vocational rehab. i still deal with pain and discomfort on a daily basis and the incident causes me trouble on a consistent basis. said incident even forces me to walk differently because of the discomfort it causes me. what should i expect when it comes time to settle for PPD? whats the minimum amount i should settle for?

2025.01.24 00:31 KingPengu22 Pairing a Ryzen 7 5700 with a 6800xt 16gb. Thoughts? Help?
Hey folks, I'm brand new to PC and PC building so I really don't know anything.
Currently I have a pre-built, it has a Ryzen 7 5700 and a 4060 but I just bought a 6800xt to replace it. However I keep hearing that the 5700 cpu is horrible? Will it hold back my GPU? Any idea what to upgrade to? How do I upgrade CPU? Is it just plug and play? Anything would help.
(I plan on running 1080p ultra on everything and play mostly older games, the most newer games I play would be Hogwarts, Elden ring, Helldivers and rivals. I play mostly older games like Bethesda titles and plan on trying valve titles like left for dead, as well as older souls games.)

I don’t know if this is the right sub.. In 2024 I lived in Mississippi. I quit my job there in June and moved to another state. My employer was not a good person, and I was her only employee.
I’m pretty sure she closed her business down. She also disconnected the store phone (which was a personal iPhone). I got a new phone, I changed my number and I accidentally lost her contact during the process. I reached out to her by email ( her personal email and her business email ) with my new home address.
My old address belongs to my abusive ex. I cannot go get it if it’s there.
She hasn’t returned any emails. And even though it’s not professional, I messaged her on Facebook as well weeks ago.
I’m afraid she’s going to mail my W-2 to my old address , and I’m never gonna be able to get it. I don’t know what to do or who to contact about this.

I'm doing another rewatch of the main series right now and this question just popped into my head. I haven't seen any conversations about it in this subreddit or anywhere else so thought I'd ask.
As far as the main show goes, I know Carol's had a few love interests (Ed, Axel, Tobin, and Ezekiel), Tara too (a girlfriend she mentioned from before, the girl in Martinez's camp, and Denise). I haven't gotten to the end of Fear but I remember Alicia having a few boyfriends over the span of that. I'm really interested in the baggage that these people carry as the story goes on, especially regarding the lovers they had to leave behind and how that affects them.
TLDR: If we were to rank it, which character has been given the most love interests across the tv series franchise? And if applicable, how do thise numbers compare to their comic versions?

We are going on a week trip, with 1 night needed in Keflavik and 1 night in Reykjavík.
We're leaning towards Hotel Berg in Keflavik, anywhere else we should consider to stay in KEF and anywhere in Reykjavík? We can email to check if there's baby cribs available but primarily looking for somewhere nice, food available onsite or nearby, and potentially somewhere fun for our toddler to explore. We're fine with more expensive if needed. Already found good spots in Vik & the Golden Circle for the rest of the trip.

Long story short I have a severe anxiety problem (have been hospitalized for it) and don’t think I could handle dorm life. I should qualify for the no dorm exemption but there’s one problem, my parents don’t live too close by. I’d have to live alone with a house under my parents name. Would I still qualify?
