Hi...I am BEYOND freaked out and panicked because I have such a fear of mice (even though I know rationally they can't hurt me) but my daughter saw a mouse the other day run across the kitchen stove and I am so beyond terrified. My super put traps down with food but he said if the mouse isn't caught within 2 days, then we should remove the traps. Any idea why he would say that? There are no droppings anywhere and we are very clean!! It has been very cold here so I know they seek shelter but i am beside myself over this. I refuse to go in my kitchen. I live in a small newer building with only 2 apartments on a floor and its very clean here. Do you think there is a chance it left??? ughhhhh

I decided to rewatch all of Ben10 recently as it was my favorite series, but the 20th episode/ 7 episode of the second season, doesn't exist for me. Instead of it being ghost freaked out or whatever, it shows up as camp nightmare. I thought I was tripping till I saw the episode 11-12 of season 3 where ghost freak explains why he's doing what he's doing. I'm so confused, anyone know what's happening.

I got introduced to COTE way back in 2017/2018 because of that Season 1 final scene all over Youtube. And I was attracted(no homo) to Ayanokoji's character. In the passing years he was showed even more, sometimes in self improvement videos. But I ALWAYS had a push-pull response to him, as a character...as a creation. He always represented to me...what it would take to reach the top and that i should admire it...but he also repulsed me on a human level for what he represents...I didn't know how...but in the last few days I've done enough research to finally know how and why.
I would keep it short for the fast paced readers, but some will just see one thing they disagree with and click off instantly. So you're gonna have to follow me on the ride....because if you skip any paragraph or judge everything I am saying without reading all of my deductions you will not understand my point.
His Motivations:
Ayanokoji is NOT a lazy smart introverted genius. Let's get that clear out of the way first. So stop using him as your idol from the get go if you think that's what he is. If I've learnt anything from my life(and Bojack Horseman) our will towards the world represents who we ARE. It is our SPIRIT(not in a mystical sense, just in a representative sense). It is our attitude towards the world we live in.
Most people will see a system we are born into and recognize where they stand within the hierarchy of people. Ayanokoji doesn't. He is a manipulator. A disruptor of systems. He looks down on other people, frequently quotes on how human society is unequal and lives by that definition of society purely. He states society is unfair, yet shows definable traits of misanthropy and exploitation of weak people. He outright says on several occasions that everyone around him is a mere tool that he will use in order to position himself at the top of the hierarchy as a winner.
"But Horikita...I've never thought of you as an ally, Not Kushida, Not Hirata, Everyone are just tools to me, In this world, All that matters is winning, As long as I win in the end.... That's all that matters" He is a misanthrope. He hates humans. He hates YOU for being a typical human being. If he existed, he would despise you. He DESPISES EVERYONE in his story.
"If I may? I'd like to pose an interesting question. Are all human beings truly equal? These days everywhere you go there's talk about the fight for equality. As a wise man once said "Heaven doesn't create one person above or below another '', people like to throw his words around and that's not the whole quote. He goes on to say that while we're all equal at birth, pretty soon things begin to change. Academic effort is what sets some people apart to rise above the others. At any rate, humans change overtime based on their actions. Truth be told, at the end of the day, equality is just a fantasy and most of us spend our whole lives denying the fact that we live in a meritocracy. Equality may be a false concept, but our inequality remains a difficult thing to accept."
Deep down I see right through this guy who thinks he's a perfect human or that he can become one. Deep down he was abused and despite how good he thinks he is in his academics, he's scared to DEATH of being a loser. To the point he literally create a psychologically defined "inverted complex" to form a tunnel vision worldview of coming out on top. A.k.a the original motivator of all basic living creatures, to be at the top of the food chain.
Winning is EVERYTHING to him. But instead of glorifying him as this perfect human which mythicizes him as someone to look up to...let's understand what "winning" means to him.

He can talk about fear to Ryuen like he is a master of it all he wants. But all I'm seeing is a scared boy in the end. The "victory" that Ayanokoji is constantly seeking is nothing more than protecting himself, getting out of a dangerous situation that could cause him harm in the future. This is all that he thinks about, how to escape a possible situation where he could be harmed.
He is scared of the White Room. So scared in fact, that he desperately wants to lose while going all out. This is where we see the paradox of him behaving average and then going against potential enemies. He wants to be average, but when someone with potential comes along...he wants to see if they can beat his ass into oblivion and prove his ideology ingrained into him is wrong.
Don't feel sorry for him beyond this point, at least I don't. Because deep down...he LIKES this. Analysing until they see the fear is where people usually stop. But go down a bit further and you see it for what it truly is. He also realizes the White Room is good for him, and REALLY only wants to lose to find something EVEN BETTER. THAT'S WHAT HE IS DOING!!!
If it just ended with him being a scared boy escaping to ANHS I'd feel sorry for him. But no, that's not what he is doing. He fears the world..yet he still escaped into it. Why? Because this PSYCHOPATH outgrew the White Room. He grew to NOT BE SATISFIED WITH THE WHITE ROOM. This SERIES IS HIM TESTING HIS SKILLS BEFORE HE BECOMES AN ADULT!!! This is why he expelled Takuya as soon as he could and put Ichika to the sidelines, because he is not satisfied with White Room products. He is experimenting with other stuff.
But this is also contradictory for me, as I like the aspect of being deathly afraid yet still continuing..but Ayanokoji's reasoning behind it is what makes me hate him.
Who he is:
A slave. A perfect slave in fact. The representative of who you shouldn't be as a human being with one life on this planet.
"I tried to smile. As I thought, I didn't know how to smile. I hadn't even learned the basics of anger, sorrow, and joy. Without the basics, you can't do anything. "Nothing." If we haven't learned it, then we don't need to feel it. I had already stopped thinking about this."
Even with a natural thing such as a smile, if it wasn't taught by the white room, there was no need for it. He SHOULD IMMEDIATELY stop thinking about it.
"I'm definitely growing every day in the White Room. Didn't Shiro want to know how far he could grow and what his limits were? You can't get this kind of education in the outside world. This means that you will lose efficiency in self-improvement."
Self Improvement my ass. You only want this because it's REQUIRED of you in order to not be expelled from the white room. "You are the White Room's dog" is what I'd say to him if he were a real person. As to why would he not wish to be expelled?
"I didn't understand. To leave the White Room was to die, no matter what form it took. I couldn't think like that. But Shiro must have had his own thoughts. If he wanted to kill himself, I wouldn't stop him. "Goodbye, Shiro." "Goodbye, Kiyotaka." This was the last conversation between Shiro and me."
To Ayanokoji, leaving the White Room is no different from death.
His identity, his self, EVERYTHING THAT HE IS ...is linked to the White Room. Without it...he is quite literally nothing..even according to himself. Failing here is just death...why?...It would be a loss of his identity.
His Mindset:
YES Kinu retcons the story. But I wouldn't say he retcons Ayanokoji. He has always been the same. He is a cynical man with no values. He is flexible, hollow and soulless.
“The truth is that I felt like I had just been born as an individual. When I enrolled in this school… I wasn’t fully formed. I was like liquid or moldable clay. Developing into a full person took time. And I had yet to completely understand how to interact or the correct way to express myself”
Not pulling any punches so bear with me. He has NO values. I don't see that as an idol honestly. He, by definiton, has ZERO self willpower. This is WHY Shiro left him in the White Room, Shiro had just as much or comparable talent to Ayanokoji and COULD'VE continued...Ayanokoji didn't..because he has no strong volition.
"I want to be free, I want to have friends. Isn't it normal to feel that way? Look around you. It's just me and you. We're going to be like this for over ten years." - Shiro
"I didn't understand what Shiro meant. Why would he want that?" - Ayanokoji inner thoughts.
"Don't you care about the outside world? Or are you able to withstand this pain in the first place?" - Shiro
"I had never had such interests or doubts" - Ayanokoji inner thoughts.
"One sided knowledge and this small space....are you satisfied with that?" - Shiro
"At least I'm not complaining" - Ayanokoji
"You're weird...I want to see the real world, not the virtual one." - Shiro
In the dialogue above...SHIRO sounds like the human to me.
Ayanokoji is a HOLLOW manipulator with a superiority complex and a preference for misanthropic thinking. But even then, he wants to weasel himself to the top of society purely for the sake of his own ego despite his disdain/disgust for mankind's inhabitants. That's it. He has NO substance. He has NO character beyond this. Everything else is fake and if you fell for it...YOU got manipulated by Ayanokoji.
He is worse than Koenji. He is FAR more meritocratic than Nagumo. His ego is even bigger than Light Yagami's. Don't get it twisted. He is, by definition, a villain. He is the apex predator of villains in his verse.
"All I cared about was that I was the last one standing. From the beginning, I've been living in this world relying on those feelings alone. I lived in that white world. A scream that comes from learning together for years, like family, or perhaps something from a different dimension entirely, like affection towards the opposite sex, huh? To be dragged out of here is a denial of all that we are. Therefore, everyone repeated their studies within a limited time so that this didn't happen."
This is why he got Sakura expelled. He did this because she improved the least by his judgement, as if he's an overlord of judging people. He only rewards the ones with merit and ability.
His Persona:
Did you also think that Ayanokoji is some stoic badass too? Wrong. Ayanokoji CONSTRUCTS personas. He doesn't embody them. He uses himself. Even HIMSELF is valued below his planet sized ego.
Ayanokouji’s character arc revolves around the construction of personas to adapt to external emotional circumstances in the most impersonal manner possible.
The first persona is the normal introverted highschooler persona who acts goofy around his classmates, minds his own business and unfairly gets dragged into the affairs of others being deceived in some way. He tries to emulate what a normal high schooler acts like pretty much and tries to understand the meaning of emotions, love, friendship etc even though he never will see them as more than words on paper. This is the persona we saw created in the first 4 volumes and it gets introduced back from time to time again.
Ayanokoji’s second persona is the “Whiteroom” persona which activates as a defence mechanism of sorts and manifests when Ayanokoji is placed in a highly dangerous scenario where an individual has power over him and he can’t do anything about it. This persona first began to activate due to Sae Chabashira, and started to kick in full drive because of people like Nagumo Miyabi. This is his "slave persona", any interaction with his father he gets scared and instantly goes into this mode. You can quite easily tell his animosity with his father through their dull paper thin dialogue with each other. His author reportedly having issues with his own father helps this case even further.
Other Aspects of Him:
He is clearly a minimalist, which definitely helped him in the White Room. He can survive off the bare minimum amounts of private points without any form of discomfort but nonetheless knows how to effectively and efficiently manage financial resources to optimize his strategies. Early examples are seen in V1 where he negotiated with Sae to buy test scores with his own points, reasoning that if the rules of the system allow for it to be bought with private points, it must also include test scores. Other examples would include the double layered trap in the zodiac exam where he used private points to exchange SIMs with Kei for his double layered trap and V10 where brokered a deal with Ichinose and Ibuki, having the former give out all of her class votes to Ryuen in exchange for 20 million private points.
He is dogmatic and lawful, he enforces rules without question because as stated before he has no values of himself. He has no ability to establish himself in the world via creativity. Best he will ever do in his waste of a life is create copies of things that already exist.
He is a diligent worker, but is also assertive over subordinates. He is indifferent to drama or chaos. He is very anxious in regards to himself, but uncaring to others. He is constantly on alert to how others could harm him, and is very self absorbed.
He views life in a false manner yet is stubborn and rigid in not changing it. He views life in a "chessboard-like" manner. When really, by John von Neumann's game theory definition, life is alot more like poker. He views life as a 0-sum game, where one's success translates to another's failure. This again shows he is just a moldable nobody, a bane of the human experience. By an appropriate definition, he is a slave.

Now that I look back on it, it was instinct, not logic. This is the first thing a newborn baby, who cannot even speak, learns when it accepts its environment. You realized that you're being carefully cared for. Human beings have feelings of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. But none of them are of much use in this facility. The children, with their still undeveloped brains, learned that early on. No wonder. Whether you laugh or cry, get angry or sad, the instructors weren't there to help you. The only time I could move forward was when I achieved something."
Due to his perfect memory superpower mutation(which is literally what it is, but more on that in part 2), he learned that there was no one to save him in that part of the world. He then accepted his fate, and decided to just listen and adapt.
CounterArguments People will try to use:
I can't bother listing them all. But here is one.
Y2V11: “At that instant, I couldn’t recall at all making a conscious effort to smile. The expression of an unintentional emotion. It felt like a drop of colour had been added to a blank sketchbook”.
That is when he smiled at Horikita. I don't see that as a good thing. I simply don't. And the reason COTE is slowly falling off and people are saying Y2 sucks is because your SUBCONSCIOUS has recognized something is off. NOTHING has changed with Ayanokoji. It’s important to remind you that, Ayanokouji is hollow on the inside and his emotions, when he does experience them, are dependent on the upliftment of other people because of his passive and weak dichotomy. This isn't development to me. He is still not his own person.
He is doing the same thing that led to him leaving the White Room..in other words he is the same guy from Volume 0. Shiro clearly influenced him a little bit, but that's all it was..something useful for him to gorge on like a pig.
Volume 7(to his father): “You taught us all kinds of things. Not just the liberal arts and sciences, but martial arts and self-defense techniques, and bits of worldly wisdom too numerous to mention. Learning fascinated me. I wanted to learn about the common, everyday world that you deemed worthless and turned your back on,” I continued.
You might think this is him stepping up and defying the White Room. Nuh uh. He cannot change who he is. Even in Y1 V11.5, there is a dialogue where he PRAYS to change, to become something else.
He can't. Because as I said before. He is DEATHLY afraid of THE WORLD he exists in. He "freezes" his own needs and sees them as negligible. This is forced sobriety.
My Overall Definition of Ayanokoji Kiyotaka:
In one sentence. He is an egoistic misanthropic misandric misogynistic machiavellian meritocratic near-perfect psychopath that was severely abused as a child who wishes to lose to prove not just his father wrong...but also to...make him himself more.."perfect".
If anything else made you think otherwise in the story or while reading my analysis of him...it's because he's a contradictory character. But when you cut all the BS and look deeper...you see THAT'S what he is.
Perfect Human? Wrong.
Perfect Psychopath/Slave? Correct.
He is the bane of what it means to be a human. He isn't a perfect human, not even close. I am still attached to him(clearly, because with zero motive towards him why would I type this much about him?), but I dislike what he represents far more than any inkling of self improvement yap that attracts me.

Hello, i just bought a second hand lumix GH5, the owner said it was broken becouse he dropped for a mistake from half meter height, the old owner give me a good lens, so the GH5 was for free. I think the problem is the IBIS stabilazator, the stabilization i think have something strange, i teardown everything just to seearch some screw in the magnets, nothing, at least for what i saw, the machine is good, nothing is broken, the error message show up every time and i can't do nothing, just for some seconds i can do something, but if put the camera horizontal and set the sensor just in the middle of the shutter it work until i start moving, so it is 100% the IBIS. As i said, i teardown everything, nothing is broken. To clarify, the sensor is very wobble even when it is on, i try to disable the stabilization, and use only electronic, nothing. so there is the way to fix this problem, i guess i have to just thighten some screw, or maybe i'm out of the right way and the problem is something else but i don't know which one, sorry for my bad English
TL:TR Stabilizator have problem and error and show "please turn camera off and on again", can i fix it?
