2025.01.23 21:12 VenturerKnigtmare420 My positive take aways after seeing the previews and one slight annoyance.
On god I was afraid this game would be goofy and whimsical as odyssey or technically incompetent as Valhalla. But after seeing the previews and the 3 hours gameplay segments. I am happy to see the game is nothing like the two. I know most of these below will be nitpicks to some, but for me it’s important.
- The story seems more mature and serious toned than marvelesque odyssey style.
- Blood effects look amazing, not origins level where you are literally bathed in blood head to toe, but better than goofyessy and strawberry jam Valhalla.
- Parkour still has that Valhalla stink where the player character glitches and rubber bands around certain places, but naoe is also insanely fast.
- Less handholdy and more risk reward. One thing I hated about odyssey which many people like is the amount of options the game gives. If you are detected there is no risk reward, you can just climb any big mountain and jump from the other side because there is no fall damage so why give a shit about being detected when you can do anything and everything.
- Cloth physics. Yep that’s something that bugs me in thin sheet metal Viking simulator. It’s always just impressive to see how a multi million dollar company cannot creat cloth that acts like cloth and not go straight down the horses ass when you are sitting on it.
- Stealth being a focus and a lot of previews saying how good it is and comparing to splinter cell. Oh man hearing that made me cum cause I don’t have to rely on goofy as invisibility and god like abilities from odyssey and that amazingly made social stealth system where enemies can detect you from York if you are hiding in Nottingham.
- Combat being crunchy and valid. In odyssey it felt like I am hitting enemies with rolled up magazines dipped in oil. There is no ooomph and stickiness to the blades being connected to the enemy. It felt like it didn’t have that frame drop thing a lot of games do to show blade has connected with the enemy.
All in all this is shaping up to be, hopefully one of the best AC games till date.

Haybales are finicky, but once you get the hang of it, you can load them on first try. To me, most problems were caused by the bus driver, as he rammed me both in a tractor and a harvester. My bike got stuck under a bus when I drove the harvester, and I only found it much farther. Totally recommend trying these at least once, as the rewards aren't too good compared to other activities. So the first episode is called “Hello, Ms. Cobel” and I’m wondering why they names it that given that Ms. Cobel obviously doesn’t appear in the first episode at all. I know episode 2 is “goodbye, Mrs. Selvig”, but I just find it odd they named it after a character that isn’t present in the first episode. Thoughts?

We are planning our yearly Sequoia family trip, so I just went through all of the info for reserving sites this summer and thought you all might appreciate the info here as well. Pre-pandemic, all of the campgrounds were on a rolling 6 months in advance schedule, but it's gone all wonky since then.
Stony Creek - on the regular schedule of available to book 6 months in advance
Hume Lake - on the regular schedule of available to book 6 months in advance
Dorst - No Info. The website still says they anticipate being closed for 2024, so it's out of date
Lodgepole - Check back on Feb 15
Sunset - Check back on April 21
Azalea - Available to book 4 months in advance
Sentinel - Available to book 4 months in advance
So, the 6 month sites are available for dates up until July 23rd, and the 4 month ones are available through May 23rd. If you plan to go after those dates, then you will just have to wait. One thing to note, for those of you who have not used the system before, is that it allows you to book days beyond the 4 or 6 month window as long as the first date of the trip is in the window.
So, if you were planning to go July 24-31, you will be able to book the entire trip starting tomorrow even though July 25-31 are farther than 6 months away.

 | I have two L239 blue panaque plecos that I've had for nearly a week now. From my research these plecos are omnivorous, with the majority of their diet containing algae wafers/veggies but also needing driftwood for rasping and supplemental shrimp pellets/frozen brine shrimp etc. I also know that this species is particularly skittish and shy so I only try to feed them at night, dropping a small piece of wafer in right in front of their cave before I head to bed. But every time I wake up, the wafecucumber that I dropped in the night before looks untouched. I haven't seen them make a dent in any of the food I've given them, but I still am noticing their long brown poops right outside their caves so I assume they're eating something, I just don't know what. Ive seen a lot if stuff and talked to a lot of people who own reptiles and frogs and the frog folks all say cocnut fiber is great even in bioactive set ups. But i was reviewing the basic care and noticed it says that itll mold and is only good for 3-4 weeks. I havent noticed mold and i stir the substrate and clean big turds once a week sometimes more and ive never seen mold and my fluval beads are usually wet. Should i switch my substrate.
