2025.01.24 00:30 OkInsurance8316 Think I qualify for no dorm first year?
Long story short I have a severe anxiety problem (have been hospitalized for it) and don’t think I could handle dorm life. I should qualify for the no dorm exemption but there’s one problem, my parents don’t live too close by. I’d have to live alone with a house under my parents name. Would I still qualify?

I'd like to replace the chuck on my drill press which seems to runout like crazy (the arbor runs true) . It's a JT3 (see pic) but what other size information do I need to order properly? I see references to 1/2" JT3 chucks and 5/8". What is that number referencing? How Do I determine what I have, or need? Sorry for newb question.

2025.01.24 00:30 dahmerparty Tour dates question
What is the best way to find the tour dates of artists that have performed on Dragula?
This is my wife’s favorite show and I’m wanting to get her tickets as a birthday present.
For reference, her birthday is Valentine’s Day, we’re in Virginia, and it would have to be on the weekend. (Super bummed auntie heroine is on a Tuesday)
Any help in direction would be much appreciated, thanks yall.

2025.01.24 00:30 holyposm Working around euthanasia solution when decomposing pet?
Hi, I am in the unfortunate situation of preparing to have my childhood dog euthanized. I have decomposed animals and cleaned bones before so I’m not brand new to this, but I’ve never done it with an animal that was chemically euthanized. This may be a dumb question but is there any way I can decompose him safely? I’ve only ever done maceration but I’m willing to do whatever I need to do to make sure I keep his bones.
I prefer having a professional do this because I can’t stand the thought of messing up, but I can’t afford the services I’ve seen.
I’m also very anxious about doing it in the winter weather but have nowhere to store him frozen.
Any advice is greatly appreciated 🦴

2025.01.24 00:30 WideConversation7585 Please rate my setup for my dragon!
First time owning a beardie as a baby. Currently in a 40gal since that’s what I had on hand but I’ll upgrade to a 120gal 4x2x2 once he gets a bit bigger. The red rock in the back is a heat rock that he seems to really like but I’ve heard lots of conflicting things on heat rocks. The tan bowl next to the rock is where he gets fresh water every day and the large stone plate is where he gets his non-live food. I have a hot basking side for him where his log and hanging vines are, with a 12in T5 UVB bulb. If you have any critiques or see any glaring red flags then please let me know! submitted by WideConversation7585 to BeardedDragons [link] [comments] |
2025.01.24 00:30 No-Flamingo-3226 2011 Lexus gx!
Hello everyone,
I wanted to get your thoughts on purchasing a 2011 GX with 123,000 miles. The car is priced very well at $15,000 and has no rust on the frame. However, I’m having some doubts about whether buying a 10+ year-old vehicle with over 100,000 miles is a smart financial decision.
I know many of you might respond with things like, “This is a great deal, go for it!” or “My ’05 has 300k miles and still runs strong.” But my main concern is the cost of maintaining these vehicles. How expensive is it, really? I’m already aware that insurance and gas will cost more, so I just don’t want to fall victim to online hype without fully understanding what I’m getting into.
I’ve test-driven these cars and absolutely love them—they’re gorgeous, and I’ve been a fan for years. Financially, I make good money and can afford it. I’ve also seen a few other GXs under $20,000 with less than 100,000 miles. Should I consider saving a bit more and going for one with lower mileage instead?
For context, the 2011 with 123,000 miles seems to have been serviced regularly, every couple of thousand miles, and looks like it’s been well taken care of.
Let me know what you all think!

2025.01.24 00:30 cleanforpeace72 Disgusted with Hyundai
I have a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. I bought it in Florida but moved backed to Michigan. I took it to Elder Hyundai for an oil change. I also asked them to repair my USB port that fell into the console. They told me up front that they won’t cover it. My car has 21,000 miles and is 2 years old.
They are claiming that a toddler must have stepped on it and knocked in it. This is 100 % not true. They claim they will fix it for $1000.00! What?
We have a bumper to bumper warranty for 5 years. WTF? I call the 1-800 number they tell me they will look into it. They called me back and said the dealer will not cover it so too bad.
A Reddit search showed this is a common problem and that the dealer covered it. This dealer is claiming that someone kicked it in so we are out of luck.
I will never buy a Hyundai vehicle ever. Our sales lady sold us on the warranty explaining how wonderful it is and here we are only at two years and they will not cover this repair.
This is my experience with Hyundai and the dealership Elder Hyundai.

2025.01.24 00:30 gayspaceanarchist Looking for headphones at or under $100
My refund check is coming in from my school, and I'm wanting to get some decent headphones
Preferably, they're at or under $100. I'm also willing to go used/vintage if that helps with the price!
They should be over-ear, without sitting on top of my ears. Things like the Porta pros just seem so genuinely uncomfortable for me.
I have no real preference for wired or wireless. Both have their upsides for me, if they're wired, I can use them for my cassette player, if they're wireless, I could use them for my phone. Either work for me, I'm mostly focused on sound quality.
As for sound, i tend to listen to a lot of acoustic music, and I really like being able to hear the ting of the strings (this is pretty depending on the music, but I have heard some recordings where you here the note and the actual string if that makes sense?), im not super big on bass, but I'd like there to be some yknow? But my main focus is on the mids and treble.
They should also be pretty easy to drive, I don't have any DAC or amplifiers, and I'm not sure if I'm in the market for one just yet lol

2025.01.24 00:30 Great_Courage1903 How does the waitlist work?
Is the waitlist first coke first serve, or is it like another round of holistic review if there’s open spots. Will I be offered only my first pick, or will I just be offered whatever’s open?

2025.01.24 00:30 Feisty-Ad2811 My experience with taking Adderall to help POTS
!!!DISCLAIMER!!! do NOT, i repeat, do NOT get adderall off the streets, even if you trust the person you’re buying it from. If you’re going to take adderall, talk to your doctor first and get a prescription.
Do NOT do what I did in this story. This is purely to share my experience and is not meant to motivate anyone to go out and buy adderall on the streets!!!!
so the other day I saw that the guy that I buy my weed and stuff from had prescription adderall that he was selling (he got it from a buddy of his that has ADHD but doesn’t take the adderall he’s prescribed) and I was interested in trying it, but I was concerned that it might be bad for my POTS. So before I bought it, I researched online on how adderall would affect POTS, but I was surprised when I saw that it could actually be beneficial to POTS. So I bought some pills, 30mg each. I started off with a quarter of a pill, waited an hour and then took another quarter, so in total I had 15mg. And when I tell you i’ve never felt better—it was like a breath of fresh air. No more brain fog, no more being overly tired. And surprisingly, my heart rate was fine, even when standing still. It’s almost like my symptoms vanished. I went to the gym while I was on the adderall, and usually when I workout my POTS symptoms get worse while I’m working out, but on adderall, I felt great. Best workout i’ve ever had. And I struggle with depression and major anxiety, but with the adderall I didn’t feel as anxious as usual and my depression wasn’t as bad. Obviously the adderall didn’t completely take away the depression and anxiety, but it definitely helped. I think a big part of my depression and anxiety is due to feeling like shit constantly from POTS, and since the adderall took away my symptoms, i felt much better mentally as well. Becuase of how great I felt with the adderall, I was curious to see if I could get it prescribed for POTS, and turns out I can! I have a doctors appointment set up to discuss getting adderall prescribed to me.
So to all my fellow POTS people—if nothing else is working to help with your POTS (like proper diet, exercise, lots of water, electrolyte supplements, etc.) I would recommended talking to your doctor about adderall and get their opinion on whether or not it might be right for you.
Adderall does affect people differently though. Some people with POTS may experience their symptoms getting worse with adderall, namely the heart rate since adderall is a stimulant and stimulants affect people with POTS differently. I just so happen to be one of the people that is benefitting from taking the adderall.
as I said before— do NOT REPEAT MY ACTIONS BY BUYING ADDERALL OFF THE STREETS!! you MUST talk to your doctor before trying it.
have a good day

2025.01.24 00:30 Full-Pop1801 Illogical vent
Ugh, so all day I have been DREAMING about taking a nice, hot, relaxing shower. I finally got the baby to bed and I'm working on cleaning up the kitchen, minutes away from my nice shower, when my husband walks into the bathroom- and takes a crap😭 I swear he stinks up the whole house for like at least 45 minutes afterwards😭 and it's 25 degrees out, so wayyyyy too cold to open the windows and let things air out. I'm devastated😭 pregnancy makes me soooo sensitive to smells and that would not be a nice, relaxing experience lol
