My doc called me up today to say my sleep score or ahi I think it was called was 118 which I’m not totally sure what that means but said it was really bad. My cpap is being expedited to me and the meantime I’m looking for advice on what to look out for and dos and don’t. I also have cats so I worry how much their hair can affect my equipment. All and all I’m excited to get on with this and super happy to find the reason why I get mad headaches that last all day.

Hey everyone
I started noticing symptoms of a bulging disc about 4 months ago. Long story short I have a smallish bulge L5/S1 but have been able to continue ballroom dancing while managing it.
I had a big week last week and it was great and danced 5 times this week.
Last night however, my cat was getting into something and I had to grab him quickly and he struggled and while I was picking him up he squirmed and it made me arch my back awkwardly. I've been very careful not lifting from back and only lifting from legs but because my cat squirmed I ended up accidently lifting a bit from my back.
It gave me a bit of a flair up of some icy feeling (neurological symptoms)
My question is, is this just likely to be a temporary flair up? Or could I have pushed and made the bulge worse?
My cat only weighs 6kg and I was definitely using some leg muscles and not all back as I started the lift correctly.

2025.01.23 22:14 AParkedChopper I think my Dad's showing signs of memory loss.
I don't know how to be sure but I'm worried. There have been a few occasions where he calls me, we have a full conversation, and then later he calls me again to talk about the same thing. Like exact same topic, same points, and with no reference to the previous conversation unless I bring it up.
The first time I chalked it up to him being deep in his cups on a weekend. This time it was in the middle of a workday.
I've been working with him lately and in person he seems completely normal. Remembers all his meetings, knowledgeable about his field of work, no issues. He's considered intelligent and competent by his coworkers. However I've also noticed his hands shake quite a bit these days. Also worrying.
I don't know how to bring it up to him or my mother. I don't want it to be real, but if it's Parkinsons or Alzheimers I have no idea what to do about it. It's just got me scared. I've heard things like dementia are just awful for the person and the family. It's starting to scare me.
I just want my dad to be okay, man.

Getting close to finishing up our new home build and I have some questions. General contractor estimated the price of the home build and his GC fee was 20%. With his fee the home is right above 500k. So his take was about 80k
Is it normal for the GC to contract the house out and plus do work on the house under his contracting buisness without showing any bids against his services that he did. Framing, tile , and a few other small things.
Is it normal for the GC to draw all the contingency money? He drew every dollar of the loan amount.
Is it normal for the GC also to say oh we had some overages here and there but never show a receipt of the actual money being paid to who or what he was charged for the services.
Is it normal for the GC when they submit draws for example painting that some of the checks are made strait to the sub contractor but then the GC also submits a draw to his contracting company for the remaining amount even though I’m already paying him a GC fee.

God afternoon everyone! I had my first consult last week with Aisha White at Synergy Plastic Surgery. I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with her or that practice?
I really liked her, very thorough and spoke to me like a peer, which is always nice. She was very informative (we talked for an hour about the procedures I want), and I just vibed with her. Also, she will do both procedures I want at the same time.
I was quoted right around $25k for a TT without lipo and a breast lift with aug, is this a fair price? I have no point of reference, and want to have an idea going into my next consult next week. Thanks for any feedback.

Machen wir's kurz, ich arbeite momentan als FullStack-Dev seit 1.5 Jahren. Das ist meine erste Stelle nach meinem Bachelor-Studium, bin quasi Junior.
Seit kurzem Frage ich mich allerdings ob das wirklich der Fall ist. Während des Studiums habe ich ein Kleingewerbe angemeldet und erst alleine, dann in nem kleinen Team als "Lead"-Dev ein kleines mobile MMORPG entwickelt. Es fing als Hobby an, ging knapp 3-4 Jahre lang. So entstand ein kleines Spiel mit zeitweise bis zu 300 aktiven Spielern und ner richtigen Community die ich groß gezogen habe. Ich habe dadurch sogar Geld verdient, leider zu wenig um wirklich richtige Entwickler einzustellen, wodurch ich irgendwann wieder alleine da stand und es irgendwann aufgegeben habe weil dann die Thesis kam, dann eine Freundin und ich auf einmal voll im Leben stand.
Es war jetzt nicht das schönste oder aufwendigste Spiel, musste mir teilweise Texturen zusammen suchen und das nehmen was ich kriegte. Trotzdem habe ich alleine ein kleines MMORPG hochgezogen und während des Studiums da täglich echt viel dran gearbeitet. Fürs Frontend würde Unity eingesetzt, fürs Backend ein selbstentwickelter C# Gameserver. Gehostet hatte ich's auch alleine mittels Jelastic, Datenbank Design, Management und co auch alles alleine gemacht. Also im Endeffekt habe ich alleine die Entwicklung, das Hosting, den Vertrieb und das Management übernommen. Gewissermaßen sogar eine kleine Führungsposition für die Dauer wo ich mit anderen Leuten zusammengearbeitet habe.
Ich persönlich würde für meine nächste Stelle argumentieren das ich trotz meiner 1.5 Jahren Berufserfahrung ( in meiner jetzigen Stelle) doch schon mehr auf dem Kasten habe. Und ich mir das irgendwie anrechnen lassen, vielleicht richtung Software-Architect, DevOps oder irgendwas "höheres".
Wäre sowas durch meine vergangene Selbstständigkeit möglich? Schließlich habe ich ja schon mehr Erfahrung oder etwa nicht? :) wie seht ihr das?
