I read a creepypasta story a while ago, and really enjoyed it. Afterwards I learned that the author had turned it into a novel, and I started reading the novel and really didn't like it, specifically because the tone had changed and I found the new tone grating.
I don't want to mention which story it was because I don't want to make the author sad, but here's a general example of the differences:
creepypasta: My girlfriend told me she didn't want to go into the haunted house. I assured her that it would be OK, and I would protect her. A few years earlier she'd been attacked by a dog and I'd fought it off...
novel: "Let's go explore the haunted house!" I said. "That place freaks me out," said my girlfriend "I don't wanna go in there." "Afraid of some ooky spookies?" I joked, "You know I'll protect you." "Oh yeah!" she said "Just like that time you saved me from being attacked by that dog!"
Are there terms for these two variants on first person?

 | So as y’all have probably seen multiple times on this subreddit now, Sera is undoubtedly the show’s most complicated antagonist especially in light of the season finale. There’s a lot of places her character could potentially go from there but I personally like the idea of Sera actually doubling down in some form after being proven so wrong regarding the Exterminations necessity purely to keep the resultant guilt from destroying her. I’ve particularly had an interest in writing something about this breakdown in some way based off Hellfire though I keep doubting myself on how exactly to go about that considering the song’s focus on lust rather than general guilt potentially causing problems in adaptation to Sera. My case was required to present further evidence for showing proof of ability to cover my offered salary (after my form i-140 submission). My employer paid for the premium processing and the first response was indeed provided within the 15 days from the date of submission. Does the premium processing timeframe also apply to the period of time it takes to review the provided further evidence?

I am seeing my gynocologist for the second time in a few weeks and I am incredibly nervous.
My last appoitment they just told me it was my weight and put me on the progestogen-only pill. This was around 6-7 months prior but...
The pain has gotten way worse. I don't know what to do. Last time, the gynocologist didn't take note of my symptoms at all. This month I had ended up in a&e because of the pain, but the CT scan was completly normal. I think my gynocologist won't believe me because of this.
But the pain has gotten to the point I can hardly walk, and not even codine relieves it. Is there any way I can have the gynocologist believe me? If they don't I am starting to believe this is in my head..
