2025.01.23 22:30 Professional-Move923 Need Help Getting Started with Wwise/Unreal Integration
Hello! Any help on this matter is hugely appreciated
Wwise Version: 2024.1.8691
Unreal Version: 5.5
I have read through and watched tutorials all the Fundamentals of Wwise, Playing simple audio files in Unreal, and troble-shooted everything I can think of.
I have attached photos of to hopefully help what I'm saying.
The Wwise event plays fine in the Wwise Browser and in Wwise. The Soundbanks seem to be set up correctly as the event shows up in the first place. I can get a simple audio file to play in Unreal so I think I understand the simple ways to play audio files in Unreal itself. However, audio does not play in the Content Browser when I click "Play Event" under AK Actions. I also cannot get it to play in the simulation no matter what I try. I think I must be doing something wrong in maybe how I get Blueprint to play Wwise events? I followed the exact instruction of the AK website, however. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I would very very very much greatly appreciate anyone's help in troubleshooting what I'm doing wrong.
I have also attached a photo of my Unreal Project Settings.

I sent out several invoices today. An hour later, none have arrived. I even sent an invoice directly to myself, like I was a client, and it never arrived either.
Is there something wrong with their service today? I have used my account to send out hundreds of invoices before. I haven't changed anything. Does this just happen sometimes?

I assume you'll all tell me (and I'm just listing a few) Honda/Toyota for reliability, Audi/BMW/Porsche for sporty, and Lexus for reliability/Luxury, but is there something that has it all? Maybe you'd also say Mazda for reliability/sporty?
What's the answer if no budget, and what's the answer if looking to spend no more than $40k or so, and nothing more than 5 years old?
Or does sporty just never really go with reliable?

I am a NB athlete and educator. I work at an ostensibly-liberal educational institution at which the subject of trans youth in sports is being discussed and policy surrounding the topic is being crafted.
While I've read and watched some content on the topic, I want to further educate myself to better address the narratives I may encounter. I expect to encounter liberal white woman feminism more so than outward conservative hatred: trans exclusion masquerading as concern for children, fairness in sports, etc. Big JK Rowling shit. This bleeds into a broader discussion about trans youth and their mental and physical health outcomes.
Please share any articles, clips, or video essays, which might help me better address the tropes and claims I am likely to encounter. If you can comment with any common talking points I am likely to encounter and ways to address them, that would be helpful.

I just bought RS 2014 Remastered on Steam but I only get a white screen with the RS logo in the corner for a second and then I'm back on the desktop. It seems others have this issue as well and the solutions were to update directx (didn't work for me, directx is up to date already) or join a beta (doesn't work either since there are no beta versions available for me). Anything else I could do?

I just want to verify my research. 1) dehydrating starter should be done with fed starter so the lil guys in there go to sleep fat and happy? 2) rehydrating can be done with adding like a TBSP of starter and water 1:1, then feed as normal?
