I work as a legal assistant at a biglaw firm in D.C. and am intending to apply for law school this fall.
Members of my family are under the impression that the law firm I work at might be willing to fund law school in part if I continue with them instead of resigning and applying as a full time student.
I think that’s highly unlikely. The firm has a seemingly unlimited applicant pool of desirable candidates and no real reason to invest in me. Maybe I’m basing my take too much on vibes, but big law just does not seem like the type of industry that would invest in lowly assistants.
Anyone heard of/experienced a firm taking interest in someone’s career as a lawyer, so much so that they subsidize their tuition?

2025.01.23 22:23 Catanddodted Headset won't charge
Since around, maybe July or August, my headset hasn't been charging. On the Oculus app on my phone it shows the headset is at 100% charge. When I try to turn the headset on it won't turn on, every so often the light on the side will flash red for a few seconds then stop for a bit, then do the same thing. I've held the power button for a while and it doesn't turn the headset off. I've tried two different cables using different ports on my computer, and nothing changes, it does this same thing.

Currently in a room with 24 kiddos ranged 34-42 months old. 3 teachers total and we are having a hard tine keeping the kiddos from going crazy in the classroom.
It's winter so we've not been going outside, we do gross motor activities inside, 30 minutes in a large indoor room where they mostly run. Table activities and carpet toys but we're having problems with constant running and wrestling.
Our kiddos love books and enjoy story time, so what books do you find work best to teach lessons?
Weve read Sick Simon a few times and they were receptive to that, I'm specifically looking for books on hitting/wrestling and running inside. We have also read llama llama and the bully goat.
