What can I do to undim the lights on the ceiling fan. They were set on dim and the remote control has been missing for at least 3 years. I’m repurposing that room and I need the lights on the bright setting, not the dim. I can hardly see anything with the lights the way they are.

Hey so, I’m looking for my first rental to get out of living with my parents. I found one I could afford in a spot I’d feel comfortable living alone and enquired. After the first auto-response email I still had questions so I sent a follow up. Didn’t hear back from that and was worried if I waited I’d miss an opportunity so I put in an application (through 2apply which seems like such a dodgy place to put my whole life onto), which was almost immediately rejected and I received another automated response saying the property is gone.
Did I just have a bad experience- maybe bad timing and I sent in my application a couple hours before they chose one, or this specific agency just absolute shit. Or is this the way every interaction goes and I’m just doomed?
The AD is still up for the property too. Genuinely makes me worried that it’s a fake listing just to get people to send in every single piece of information that exists about them. I think I’m just overreacting with that though.

For the past year, I’ve had this really heavy feeling weighing me down on top of my current anxiety and depression and could never pinpoint what it was. It hit me the end of last year that I feel so incredibly lonely. Even though I have close friends and family, I just can’t help but feel so detached and alone.
I’ve started going back to therapy which is helping a bit but the feeling is still there. Recently, I met up with a close friend and they were saying how they’re really excited to move out to the city and look forward to the future. We are both turning 25 this year and it just fills me with such dread. All of my friends are in solid relationships with jobs and have moved out of their childhood homes and I’m still stuck here.
I don’t really know what I want to do with my life. I just feel so empty and lost. I haven’t been in work for nearly 2 years now because my previous jobs made me and my autism feel like a burden. I was also assaulted in one of them which, since talking about it more in therapy, I have been getting nightmares about it.
It’s got to the point where I question even going out now and seeing friends because I’m just going to hear how happy they are. I’m happy for them, but the sadness and loneliness lately has been outweighing that which I feel terrible for.
I just don’t know what to do. This loneliness just seems to be getting heavier and more isolating. I didn’t know where else to go other than here.

Noong hindi pa kami kasal, nag star gazing kami. May tinuro siyang stars na magkatabi. Kaming dalawa daw yun. Para kahit magkalayo kami, tingin lang daw kami doon. Hanggang ngayon di ko alam kung nasaan yung mga stars na yun! Minsan ituturo niya habang magka holding hands kami, titingala lang ako at kikiss pa sa kanya, kunwari nakikita ko din. Convinces siya hangang ngayon.
Noong bagong kasal pa lang kami, may mga DVD ako ng IP man na binili sa Quiapo. Hindi siya mahilig sa action movies kasi baka may patayan. Tinanong niya ako king tungkol saan daw yun, sabi ko yun yung story kung paano naimbento yung Internet sa China, kaya IP man. I can't believe my lying ass kasi convinced siya. Nanunuod pa naman ako ng Chinese movies na walang sub.
And yun nga, dahil medyo may alam ako sa Mandarin, isang beses tinannong niya ko kung ano sa Mandarin ang Lugaw habang kumakain kami ng lugaw. Sabj ko "Gaw Lu' with a slight Hokkien accent so medyo tunong "Khaw Looh". Amazed siya, na binaliktad lang daw ng mga pinoy yung syllables lol.
I love her so much, pero some of these shit are just too funny. Wait pa siguro ako na maputi na mga buhok namin bago ko aminin.

Live in a small room with no windows in NYC. Would love any kinds of design/colofurniture and lighting tips. Moved in fairly recently so am still playing with how everything works.
The room also doesn’t have a closet to had to purchase wardrobes.
I’m planning on filling the wall with posters (that already has two posters on it) and getting a couple of floor lights to not rely on overhead lighting.
