Little bit about myself and my situation:
-30 year old Male -Currently a local truck driver doing food deliveries -High school dropout (got my GED immediately after) -Single with no kids -I currently make about 80-90k in Alabama so I make a comfortable living for myself currently -No college degree or credits currently
Now, I make a decent living currently but this job isn't something I can do long term as it's very physically demanding. It also doesn't follow any kind of consistent schedule. I'm currently in the process of trying to get on somewhere that has a more consistent schedule so that I can start college. I want to eventually buy a house and start a family but I also want to do something more financially rewarding so that I can offer my family more than I had growing up. I want my family to be comfortable and I would like some insight.
I'm considering a couple of different things. I would like to go to college for accounting, software development, business management or engineering of some sort. I also wouldn't be entirely opposed to trying my hand in some form of sales but I'm not sure if I'd be good at that.
I currently have about $30k in savings specifically for schooling because I WAS going to flight school but my jobs schedule got way too inconsistent and I ended up throwing nearly $15k down the drain. So now I'm in a weird spot where I'm getting older and I'm becoming limited quickly.
What's a good route that I can take that will ensure a secure financial future for myself and a possible family in my current situation? I don't have anyone to lean on while getting through school and when I make a job change I won't be making 80k+ anymore but likely closer to 50-60.

 | Hi new friends! I’m about to start another round of stage one in my new tumbler and I went collecting some more rocks this afternoon. I decided to be a little more strategic about keeping similar rocks together for one batch at a time, but I’m not sure where to begin in learning what type of rocks these are. All were collected from the bay beach in NJ. I have been facing a weird problem since the last few years. The rear view camera abruptly stops working and starts working.
When checked by a Hyundai service center and an auto body shop they said it needs replacement but the pattern I have noticed is, it stops working when it gets very cold (like under 30 degrees F) then starts working just out of the blue
I don’t know if there is a fix to it or it’s just past its usable date. Any tips ?

Anyone here ever worked for a contracting company that had a non-solicit or non-compete in the agreement then left and got sued or held to one for violating it afterwards? I have a unique situation I’m in, and I’m afraid to be pursued by my company for leaving due to its non-compete.
No need to mention rules to me or that most states don’t enforce these—mine does. I already sought legal counsel, but they said finding out if others had ever been held to these in a Speech contract would help me the most. I always see these being put in contracts for us but have never actually had anyone I know held to one so I’m curious. Mentioning the company would help if you or someone you know HAS been held to one of these…thanks so much in advance!

Hi everyone,
Looking to treat myself to a nice macallan with my year-end bonus. Macallans have so many different collections and stores charge wildly different prices so I am quite confused on what to buy.
My favorite whisky so far was the terra that I got for $100 many years back so i guess i prefer a smokier, caramel style but i am open to everything. What are some bottles I can look to buy for around $300, and how much should i expect to pay for it? Some contenders so far are edition 4 and rare cask.
I know Macallans dont have the best rep for value for money but I personally have really enjoyed the ones I have tried so far so i am sticking with the brand to play it safe

So, this might be one of those things that I'm "used to having but don't really need," but... the last few vehicles I've had (prior to my new '25 AT4 Yukon XL) automatically reset the trip odometer every time I filled up the tank. Thus, the vehicle would show average mpg for the last tank which was nice to be able to spot trends and whatnot.
I don't think I can do this on the new Yukon. Checked the manual, googled around, played with the settings... blah blah blah...
Do folks really go and manually reset their trip odometers anymore at fill up? Do folks use their trip odometers at all--much less two of them? Is there no way to automate the reset of 1 or both of the odometers? Help appreciated!

 | First off I wanna start by saying how bittersweet it is to find this community. I have felt so alienated recently in my pain. As I await approval from insurance for surgery, my symptoms keep worsening day by day. Initially, it started off with shoulder pain going down into my fingers and now has progressed into pins and needles throughout my abdomen leg, and now the most concerning part which has led me. Here is the chest pain. I’ll get the occasional tingling in the chest, but that has been progressing into a feeling of crushing tightness clenched fist type pain. My heart is healthy but whenever I feel this, I can’t stop but think that I’m having a heart attack. I’ve been to the ER once for this already and they gave me gabapentin which is not helping it feels like this chest pain is gonna be the death of me, but my providers seem to not be concerned by it at all. Hey guys! I made a post about this a day or two ago and I was hoping maybe a picture would help. This is the attachments menu that I used the “copy main colors” option on to try and figure out which palette or combination of colors is used to make Jade’s base energy color, most notably seen when her Glory on High ability is active or when her belly is otherwise exposed. I’ve tried at least a dozen combinations but I can’t find that single color anywhere in the palettes I own, and it’s driving me crazy. If can help me identify the color I would be forever grateful for the help.
