Left work at 6:35 pm, got to WTC, thought there was a protest going on at entrance to PATH. Checked PathTrain on Twitter and quickly walked to Brookfield place. On big boat to Paulus Hook at 6:54 pm. Walked home for 35 minutes. What a shitshow… at least got the steps in.
Sometimes I wish I lived in NYC instead of JC, but it is what it is.

2025.01.24 01:42 CuriousWanderer2087 Timeline so far--is there hope? How much of a delay will reporting a new "foreign contact" cause?
Now I am fully aware that the average time it takes to go through the clearance process is 6-12 months, but I am curious if being in the later stages is an indication that I am close to receiving an FJO. I've had no luck applying to other jobs while I wait, and reading other posts about my agency's tendencies to pull the rug out even during the suitability process has me a bit worried. Additionally, I am concerned that having to add a US citizen-turned-technical-"foreign national" will now extend this process further.
This is a government IC position.
From others who have had a similar timeline, is this relative consistency likely to continue? Or will I be left in the dark for months on end? What is the likelihood that this position will be filled if I am this far in, as seems to be the reputation for this agency per this subreddit?

August '24 - CJO and SF-86 completed
October '24 - Invitation to schedule polygraph and psych eval

We have used Glidewell and Sun Dental labs for years and up until about 6-12 months ago we’ve been experiencing a lot of delays, technical issues, etc. We use a scanner most of the time but for dentures we take physical impressions still. Is it just us?

2025.01.24 01:42 Danner4912 ESXi VM-100 11.1.4.-h7 Interfaces won't Come Up
I have deployed and eval licensed three VM-100 w/ PAN-OS 11.1.4.-h7 on three different ESXi 8.0 servers in a lab environment. Unfortunately, I cannot get any of the VM's ethernet interfaces to come up. I have no issues with the management interfaces via ssh or https. All the ethernet interfaces are configured as layer 3 and are each part of a vSwitch/port group that another VM's virtual NICs are also part of. Using the exact same configuration, but with a PAN-OS 10.0.3 image has no issues and the ethernet interfaces come right up.

2025.01.24 01:42 SS-naikku How to use windfall to pay off all my credit card debt?
I'm in a lot of debt. Good news is I'm getting a bunch of windfall to pay it all off, problem is, I don't know how. Sounds dumb but basically I've been told that if I pay it off all at once, it will hit my credit score, and then the two credit cards that I do not want to keep for the future will be closed from disuse and then my credit score decreases.
I could also just stop paying my credit card bills, and then negotiate the sums down quite a bit to a lump sum, but that will apparently hit my credit score a lot.
Third option is to undergo a debt management plan and pay it off over time with a lower interest rate but that will also close my cards and lower my credit score and will take years when I just wanna get it all paid, over and done with.
Is there some secret fourth path that doesn't hit my credit score? I'm not really a goody two-shoes, if all paths lead to a credit score hit I don't see why I shouldn't just stop paying my credit card bills on the two cards I have no intention of keeping and force them to accept a lower sum.

Estoy cansado. Hoy me pelie con alguien porque como de costumbre, me quiso denigrar por tener 30 años y ser virgen. Yo entiendo que los demas piensen que soy un pelotudo por eso, pero no puede ser que todas mis interacciones en cualquier entorno se vean limitadas por esto a que me ignoren o me vuelvan loco.
Es constantemente. No es que una vez cada tanto me hacen un comentario sobre eso. Cada 2x3 estan denigrandome con eso. Y digo denigrando porque no es que solo me jodan haciendo un chiste mala leche, si no que directamente me tratan como si fuera menos en todo. No puedo opinar de NADA porque directamente me descalifican por ser virgen. Como si el que ellos la hubiesen puesto los hace mas vivos en general para la vida. No importa si yo se mas sobre X tema y lo puedo sostener, en general siempre me atacan con eso.
Pero lo que mas bronca me da tambien es esta idea ESTUPIDA de que el que la puso se las sabe todas sobre el amor y las relaciones. Yo como nunca estuve con nadie no soy de opinar sobre estos temas, pero se que el haber estado con alguien (por muchos que sean) tampoco te hace un experto. No puede ser que no pueda hacer ningun comentario al respecto sobre algun tema (relacionado con esto o no) que vengan y me descalifiquen. Lo peor es que despues viene otro que es todo lo contrario a mi, dice EXACTAMENTE lo mismo, y le dan la razon. ¿O sea que si lo digo yo esta mal pero si lo dice otro esta bien?
Como dije, estoy cansado. Cansado de que esta mierda me defina. Como si solo valiera en base a lo que hago o no hago con mi vida sexual. Se que a otra gente la joden con otras cosas, pero no llega al extremo de que lo hagan a un lado o lo bardeen constantemente con eso. La gente no quiere a los virgos y se los hace saber de la forma mas cruel posible. Volviendolos locos o ignorandolos. Hace mucho que estoy en un punto en el que solo puedo estar solo, porque cuando me mezclo con gente solo vivo situaciones de mierda por culpa de esto.

When me and my ex first got together I had called him to come take care of me after a night out. This wasn’t unusual for me because I always called him since we were best friends at that time. As the night progressed I start remembering less and less. The one things I do is that I woke up next to him. Yes we are over now but I’m just wondering if that was fucked of him. It was is my fault because he said that I hit on him. It feels wrong though because he was fully sober, I know it’s my fault for staying after but is that night my fault too?
