I hadn’t played The Sims 4 in a really long time. I’m going to guess at least 1 year. This weekend I picked it up again because I have a new PC and I wanted to see how it would handle the insane amounts of CC I have in it.
While making a male sim I noticed this skin detail that I loved. Maxis Match but with a lot of depth and it would make any sim look like a heartthrob. It had a custom thumbnail displaying a male sim with a blue border and at the bottom the creator’s name was written on a white horizontal bar. I can still picture it in my head. In the end though I decided not to use it because it only worked on males and I thought it would be weird to have such a stark difference in quality between the male and female sim in the same household.
Last night while at work I randomly thought about this skin. And thought to myself that I needed to Google this creator because they certainly had female skins of similar quality that I could. Only I wasn’t home and I didn’t remember their name so it would have to wait. This thought alone got me through my entire shift.
I get home after working 12 hours and I didn’t even bother to eat. I went straight to my PC to launch the game and get the name of this creator. Only I couldn’t find the skin anywhere in the skin details. I scrolled and I scrolled but nothing. It didn’t make any sense. I remembered it being right at the top.
So I’m thinking… maybe I deleted it. And I look at the recycle bin but there are no package files in there. Which doesn’t surprise me as I haven’t cleared out my CC folder in almost 10 years. So I open the game again thinking I must have missed it the first time. And it’s still not there.
And then I remembered that over the weekend I had made a separate male sim that I hadn’t played with and that one was using the skin. Surely if I looked at the CC he had on I would be able to find the skin. Maybe I was just misremembering the thumbnail. But such sim was not in my gallery… not even when I ticked the button to show sims with CC.
That’s when it finally hit me: sometime this weekend I must have just DREAMED about this skin detail and the dream was just so mundane that I somehow convinced myself it was real.

So I’m about 200 watch hours away from reaching monetization on my channel (historical content). However, one of my videos recently received a Content ID claim. The claim is for a small portion of the video where I used a clip from a historical TV show, though I added my own voiceover on top of it. Will this affect my chances of getting monetized when I apply? For context, all my other videos are entirely original content.

Growing up with an addict for a grandmother, I always saw her as stupid or wondered why she was doing the things she did. But three years ago, when she and I went to the casino for the first time, my life changed. After I won $300 or $400 after betting only $10, I couldn’t stop. That night, I went home thinking about how I could’ve made more and more.
From that point on, I started gambling online—DraftKings, FanDuel, any online casino I could find. I’ve self-excluded from a lot of them, but I still have access to a few. Over the past two or three years, I’ve probably spent anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 gambling. I hate this. I hate gambling. I truly believe it’s in my blood, and if I don’t stop, I’m going to end up like my grandmother—no home, no car, no family, no nothing. She has nothing.
Im 23, work full-time, five days a week, and sometimes I think, Well, I’ll just spend $1,000 because my paycheck will cover it. But I could pay off my credit card with that $1,000. I could do so much with that money. Still, in my head, it feels okay to spend it.
Today is the day I stop. I lost $850 today, and I’m not going back. This is the start of a new me. Please, hold me accountable.

I beat the game last week, but am still finding myself loading back in to play my save I have from before the point of no return. So far, ive been running around, finding all the areas I havent accessed yet, doing some side quests, and going for random trophies. Kinda thinking about starting a new game to go for a different storyline. Im curious though, if any of you are continuing to play your old save after beating it, what are you finding yourself doing?
Also thinking about trying something like Anomaly or Gamma, but its been a HOT minute since ive played the originals.
Any ideas?

Hi!
I received essentially a full ride scholarship for nurse practitioner school for Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I applied because I had gone there for my undergrad and it’s near by.
However, my passion is pediatric. And I would like to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
However I’d have to pay out of pocket and most of the programs I’ve found are about 26-54k!
Would have be crazy to go the adult NP and then get a post graduate certificate for PNP of FNP from a different school since it would be cheaper?
Thanks for all the input! I’m also open to any other ideas or recommendations.
