My cat recently had a urinary blockage, and we were struggling to figure out what to do since we didn’t have enough money for treatment. At one point, we thought we might have to just let nature take its course. But after a day, he peed on himself, which gave us some hope. We decided to take him to the most affordable clinic we could find.
Thankfully, he didn’t need catheterization, and we ended up spending about $3,000. His BUN level was initially at 115, and he stayed hospitalized for three days and two nights, receiving IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication. By the third day, his BUN dropped to 27, which was surprising. Honestly, I can’t help but wonder if everything was legit—I guess I just have some trust issues when it comes to vet bills.
Now he’s on a UR diet that the vet prescribed, along with amoxicillin and gabapentin. He’s peeing, though only a little at a time, and he’s a lot sleepier than usual. The vet also gave him flea medication, which we apply monthly to his shoulder blades. Apparently, stress and fleas were contributing factors to the blockage, although I hadn’t noticed any signs of fleas before this. I did see a couple on him after he came home, so now I’m wondering if he picked them up at the animal hospital.
I’m just looking for advice from anyone who’s dealt with a cat having a blockage that resolved without catheterization. Do you think the UR diet is enough to prevent this from happening again? I’m worried the blockage might not be fully cleared and could come back. His follow-up appointment is in a week, so we’re hoping for the best. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated!

I've had vivid precognitions during REM Sleep, dreaming of events days, weeks, months and even years before they happen, it's gotten to the point where if I get a sense of Deja Vu at any point during my day I just assume I dreamt about it.
I think the most vivid example of this was in first or second grade, my class sat down in the school library as the librarian read us a picture book, as we were watching, I raised my hand and interrupted by asking "didn't we do this yesterday?" And immediately everyone around me was confused (it was a Monday, lol.) So I had to explain to my confused classmates that I vividly remembered reading this same book not too long ago.
I think this highly precognitive dream state may come from my very first memory from when I was about 3 or 4, beware, it's very likely a fever dream so things move very quickly and don't make a lot of sense.
I walk into the livingroom, my mother sits on the couch, and my brother on the floor in front of her, playing with toys and watching television, when I feel someone tap me on the shoulder, I look over and see my mother crocheting, when she says "oop, I poked my finger." She raises it from her crocheting and shows it to me, her finger had cracked like porcelain, then, I look up from her finger and see her standing in a hallway, similar to a medical building, like a pediatricians clinic, I look up and see a lady dressed in all violet with a 1950s esc button up jacket on holding me in her lap, she wares a matching bonnet with a violet flower on it. The memory ends there.

2025.01.24 05:11 Sharkyyyx I’ve just finished TXR, this is my honest opinion and what I think could be improved. (NO SPOILERS)
I want to start off by saying that it was an absolutely amazing experience. Nice handling and physics, good customization, creative ways of making the game entertaining without seeming too repetitive, more hours of playtime than GB’s it takes up. Expected way less for an early access, was very satisfied to play it.
I suppose Genki’s plan is to revive the TXR series, and this game could be it, has huge potential, just needs a bit of more polishing.
In my opinion, they could do the following: - Add multiplayer (not forced to be online to play though) and possibly add sprint/time attack races; - Expand the map with Yokohama, eventually Urayasu too; - Improve car list (already very good, but they would destroy competition with Honda, Lexus, more Nissan (R35), Mitsubishi (Evo, Eclipse GSX), Toyota (Prius + others) and also in hopes of staying away from American and European cars; - More customization parts, licensed or not, eventually body kits (would be SICK); - More vinyls, possibility of maybe uploading PNG images (in case of multiplayer, a permanent custom livery ban in case of abusive designs); - Custom part colors (neons, wheels, spoilers); - Bigger story, more characters (rivals and bosses); - Cloud saves and multiple save slots; - Bosses should challenge you; - Improved AI behavior (not to look lane-assisted as often, to crash more frequently at high speeds and less at low speeds, actually try pushing you when you’re ahead and not stopping after you accidentally pass them in attempt of challenging them).
I am COMPLETELY aware that it is early access still and would like not to get down-voted to oblivion if possible. I absolutely loved the early access and this post is not made to complain, but to give feedback and suggestions as the game tells you once you finish the game. What would you like to see added and what do you think about my suggestions? Let me know!

I wasn’t aware it was an issue until a friend said oooo did you see that anonymous post you should comment, and then I realised it wasn’t that the function was gone from the group it was only gone for my profile I couldn’t see the posts at all anymore even old ones I’ve seen before I haven’t ever been able to lock my profile either so is it just broken?
I created a new profile to see if maybe it was my app and not just my profile. None of my friends seem to be having this issue so I find it weird anyone found out how or why? My app now won’t let me sign in with the new profile due to it still being me 🤣
I don’t really want to start over again adding friends and all the things but most groups I’m in won’t let you in without an invite and if I have 2 profiles with my name and photo I think others will report it hahaha

Hi. I am in quite a predicament and may owe a LOT of money.
For the year 2023, I had Marketplace insurance. Then, on January 10th of 2024, I went to apply for Marketplace insurance for that year, 2024 (late, I know, but still within the open enrollment period). My eligibility notice that I received from that January 10th application said that I was not eligible for a premium tax credit and that I may be eligible for Medicaid. So, I thought OK, I just need to apply for Medicaid which I did and I got a Medicaid plan. So, all of this year, 2024, I used Medicaid. However, I kept having problems with medical offices trying to bill my old insurance. I thought I just needed to call and tell them I no longer had Aetna (via Marketplace) and that Aetna was my old insurance not what I currently have - but it has still been a headache. Long story short, apparently, I was auto enrolled into Marketplace (specifically Aetna) on January 1st and it was never canceled EVEN THOUGH Marketplace was the one who told me I was not eligible for a tax credit and that I may be eligible for Medicaid (thus not eligible for Marketplace). I truly believed I did not have Marketplace insurance based on the fact that THEY told me that I was ineligible for a tax credit and needed to wait to hear from Medicaid indicating that I was not longer eligible for Marketplace! I had no inkling of a thought to manually end my Marketplace insurance because of this.
The other part of the story is that there is another eligibility notice that I found from Dec 26th, 2023 saying that I WAS eligible. Who did this application to get this eligible notice?? I didn't. I know that I didn't because I am late with everything I do! I completely expected to just not have health insurance for January 2024 because I did not re-apply by Dec. 15th. Where did this Dec. 26th application come from??? Did it come from an automatic enrollment? I called but no one can tell me.
I just received a 1095A listing all of the "Monthly advance payment of premium tax credit," they paid. How come they paid these if I was ineligible? Does anyone have any idea about this? The only eligibility notice that says I WAS eligible was from Dec. 26th, 2023. Why wouldn't the one that says I was NOT eligible supersede that one? Marketplace couldn't tell me that either. If I am not eligible, why are they paying a premium tax credit???
One more part of the story is that I did finally get fed up when my doctors kept trying to bill Aetna and I called Aetna myself and terminated the plan. Of course, then I started wondering why did Aetna think I was still on their plan? So, my 1095A shows that Marketplace only paid premiums through the middle of November.
After researching this issue, I can see that I was supposed to terminate my coverage with Marketplace. But I had no idea and now I will have to pay back all of those premiums listed on the 1095A. One their website it says, if I do not cancel the insurance, I may have to pay some or all premiums. How can I know if I have to pay back some or all? What is this calculated?
Also, can anything be done about my situation? I do realize I was ignorant. But I just had not even the foggiest thought to cancel my other insurance. I thought, I'm not eligible. They told me so. Why would I have to then turn around and tell them so they can cancel my ineligible insurance??? Does anyone have any insight or help to offer?

Mild spoilers for Season 2. Here’s a theory.
It is clearly of the utmost importance to Lumon that no one on the outside world know anything about what goes on down on the severed floor. And yet, the hire unsevered workers to oversee the Innies.
I propose that Management (really all unsecured workers who work on the severed floor) are recruited from Lumon cultish schools and raised to keep their four tempers perfectly balanced. We saw in S1 that Ms. Cobel attended the Myrtle Eagen School For Girls. Milkshake might have been raised in a boys’ school. Ms. Huang is listed as Lumon’s “Wintertime Fellow” on the official Severance LinkedIn - maybe she is interning in connection with a Lumon school. It may explain why they’re letting an unsevered child work around Innies.
Because they would have been brought up in a brainwashed Kier cult with Lumon loyalty drilled into them, they are the only ones Lumon can trust to know what severed employees do.
This theory also explains why Management act so robotic and have ominously mild speech patterns (including Helena, who was clearly raised with all the Eagen dogma).
I don’t think we’ll find out one way or the other this season. (Press for the show has said Milkshake’s and Ricken’s backgrounds, for example, aren’t really touched on.) Something to consider!
