2025.01.24 01:30 kiwiqueenn My cat won’t stop attacking me and now has given me an infection
I have had my cat (1.5 yr old female calico) for about 1 year. She has always been playful but in the last 6-8 months has gotten really aggressive with me. Like attacking me out of the blue with her full might - I can be laying down, walking, or doing basically anything. I’ve noticed it does tend to happen when my partner leaves the house and when I am about to get in bed every night. She never attacks my partner though which is strange (I’m female and he is male not sure if that makes a difference?)
She got me really bad earlier this week and the wound has formed a lump underneath it and urgent care said it looked infected so I will be starting antibiotics. I am so fed up. We have tried more playing, playing before bed, clapping and saying no when she does it but nothing seems to help. I really don’t want to get her declawed but I am sick of being a target in my own home. Any advice on how to correct this behavior or why she may be acting this way?

I just had a run in with an honest to god Nazi at the HyVee gas in Mission. I was at the pump, minding my own business, when this guy rolls up to another pump, gets out and gives me the full on seig heil and shouts "White Power". I reflexively gave him the finger without thinking, and he unfortunately followed me for a few miles before I was able to lose him in traffic.

My dog had her sutures removed after 2 weeks since surgery for a MCT removal. The incision is on her head/ear. We left for a few hours and came home and there is a small hole and it was bleeding. I will call the vet tomorrow but wondering if I need to do anything tonight or if I can do anything to help it from getting infected before I can see the vet tomorrow. Will they have to re-stitch?

It could be that I fried something, but wanted to hear ideas.
I have an old ASUS ROG G751J that had a bad battery. The laptop turned on fine before replacing the battery, but after plugging in the new one it doesn’t turn on.
When trying it sounds like two clicking sounds within the laptop, but I can’t figure out where it is…
I bought the battery replacement on Amazon and it’s only slightly under-watt than the OEM.
Any thoughts? Not a big deal if I can’t fix it since I got a new one (thought I’d give it away to family). TIA!

2025.01.24 01:30 Embarrassed_News6103 I have an issue with my furnace that not even an HVAC tech has been able to figure out.
I have a Goodman furnace w/ and ecobee thermostat. It keeps up fine all day no problem, even the past few days when it’s been like 5 degrees out. But no matter what, EVERY TIME the schedule changes (my comfort setting on my ecobee goes from Home to Sleep), the furnace fails.
It hits 9PM (sleep time), slowly starts dropping temp….. and continues to throughout the night. Getting a lockout error EE0 (furnace tries to start 3 times and fails). It never has any issue other than at night after schedule changes. It doesn’t even have to be 3am either. Last night I waited until 11, watched temp drop below my comfort setting, watched it start calling for heat, and get no heat. I know it can’t possibly be but it truly almost feels like an ecobee issue!
The weird thing is that you wouldn’t think with a lockout you wouldn’t be able to reset it without turning the furnace off, but I can. If I do it from the ecobee app, it will kick on just fine. I truly don’t understand it. It will run fine from 6AM or whenever I wake up to reset it, for 15, 16 hours until it goes to sleep. And it’ll do the same. I’ll sit there and watch it try to call for heat 3 times, light up, start working, and go off right away.
And of course it never happens when my tech is there. He can’t figure it out.
Will give more info if anyone wants any.
