I own a small company in a blue collar industry and every single one of my employees is a Trump fan. I love them all, but they can't see how their choice will make their lives worse in the long run.  | I know ancestry isn’t the gold standard test — it was a Christmas gift — BUT these were the breeds mentioned, specifically border collie & wheaten, when his litter was surrendered at the shelter. He came from a hoarding situation with a ton of other dogs & cats, so the shelter wasn’t confident in the breeds they were told. The vet on staff & another employee were convinced he was a spaniel mix! Haha Lots of folks guessed poodle due to the long legs! lol. Honestly grappling with this lol, I completed the strava challenge that gives you 20% off anything including the membership so it would be $100. I know for sure I want to buy a pair of Novablast 5’s so the 20% off asics is appealing and saves me $28? there. I haven’t actually bought any bandit clothing before but I am very interested in the race crops specifically, but also was eyeing their biker shorts & some of the cold weather gear. I guess my question is whether the membership is worth it for someone who will probably only buy a few pieces in the year?

Overview
So a manager Bob, has a manager Lisa. Lisa is wanting to get some data processed to review a new data set, and Bob is introducing this work at the last hour on a Friday. Instead of including a link to what this is about, the requirements, etc. they are holding a meeting near the end of the day on a Friday. This will require people to stay late and do work when they should be heading out to enjoy the weekend as they have just finished another one of these data processing projects earlier in the week which requires heavy manual IC input. Bob did apologizes in the introduction email for the meeting, but the damage has already been done and Bob appears to be on auto-pilot taking orders from above and executing them as soon as they can.
Background
Lisa is a new leader to the team from another org so they have not earned the respect or trust of the new org or the more thorough and technical data driven teams this existing team interacts with. Things are not looking very good for Lisa as they have not done the work to understand the new business unit or the technicals of the business and is taking their people into high visibility efforts, but low impact work and the last managers we had do this we had to manage out because the talent kept leaving and they are the source of our cashflows that keeps their org operating effiently.
They, Lisa and Bob are getting guidance from someone disconnected from the actual operations so they are taking that engineers word as gospel and things just keep getting worse week over week from email traffic I am on from more senior ICs and managers starting to question the quality of her work and the major decrease in the core deliverables being delayed that their group is primary on. They have less than a handfull of people to do the actual work and I am sure if this continues the top talent on that team will leave for better opportunities very soon which would be a huge lose of heavy lifters within the company.
They are doing these data projects because other teams were asking for information they were not able to fill in, but the missing data were not blockers for them to continue to conduct their primary mission.
I was reached out to from concern of some of the long term engineers on the team about the high work, low impact projects being introduced vs focus on their core mission and optimizing for effiency. This was a major project to increase the effiency of their core duties but Lisa is now focusing on these low impact, high visibility projects they are escalating up through the chain. The leader they are targeting has reached out to me as they are also tracking that teams core deliverables and they keep slipping and wanted me to do a shadow review and be the final determinator if it can be turned around or if I should package my results to forward to HR for the PIP of Lisa and potentially Bob and seek out new leaders for their org.
Question for other managers
How would you help retrain Lisa and Bob to respect common boundries and never introduce work at the last minute for a team to process so they don't loose all their people due to these low impact manual data processing jobs? These random jobs also delay their primary work, and pushes everything back so we are seeing this and it's a glaring what is going on here, but hints to get back on track from us outside of their bubble are being ignored for these rabbit hole projects that end up with high output from the team, but are at the end of the day low impact and bring little to no value to the team's output which we are tracking through year over year, month over month, week over week, daily, and hourly metrics that we use to measure leadership performance and they are in the red but don't know it. If it keeps up the leader and their direct may be managed out as the talent they could potentially loose have built foundational capabilities in the org and other managers and individual contributors follow their guidance.

⭐️It means the sword that falls on those who believe in it, because of their faith. Indeed, as soon as Christianity arose, the sword rose against it from the Roman state, the Jews, and the pagan philosophers.
The Lord’s words were fulfilled: “The hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God” (John 16:2).
The era of martyrdom that continued until the beginning of Constantine’s reign is evidence of this.
Likewise, division occurred – even in homes – because of the faith of some family members while other family members remained unbelievers.
For example, a son would believe in Christianity, and his father would stand against him, or a daughter would believe in Christianity, and her mother would stand against her.
Thus, division would occur within the family between those members who accepted the Christian faith and those who opposed it, as He said: “The father will be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against the daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law” (Luke 12:53).
Often, the believer would find severe opposition from his own family members, causing him to abandon his faith.
Therefore, the Lord continued His speech by saying: “A man’s enemies will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me…” (Matthew 10:36, 37).
He was talking about the sword against faith. The sword is not in public dealings.. That is why His saying, “I did not come to bring peace, but a sword” (Matthew 10:34) was immediately preceded by His saying, “But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:33).
The matter may also be involved in the application of Christian spiritual principles.. A division may occur between a religious Christian daughter and her mother on the subject of modesty in clothing and adornment.
The same clash may occur between a son and his father on the subject of church service and consecration, or on the subject of health and fasting, or in countless items of Christian behavior, and “a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.”
As for ordinary dealings between people, the Lord says in His Sermon on the Mount: 2- “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9).
The Lord Christ was called “the Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
And when the angels announced His birth, they said, “And on earth peace” (Luke 2:14).
He said to his disciples, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you” (John 14:27).
The Bible says, “The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace” (James 3:18). And it was said that the fruits of the Spirit are “love, joy, peace” (Galatians 5:22). ✝️🕊

Hi guys! This will be my first Ultra and I'm so stoked for it all!
I have a question about after parties. Will there be any bass artists who either are or aren't on the festival lineup performing at clubs during MMW? Artists like Illenium, Slander, Subtronics, etc. If so, which venue(s) are they most likely to be at? I've heard good great things about Factory Town and plan to buy a Saturday pass, but I'm assuming I'll have to buy the pass before the artists for that night are announced.

I thought on starting a blog for topics on programming, software development, Computer Science. My target audience is people who just want to build stuff for themselves. Maybe a cool app that doesn't exist or a video game. It's not my goal to train people for software development jobs.
Does it make any sense since apparently AI is taking over some of these tasks? Are people willing to learn despite of no-code / low-code tools? Should I specialize on low-code? Where could I find data of people's interest into learning programming?
