I'm new to the show. I've really liked this show.
*SPOILERS*
I just saw this episode. I have my 3 boys asleep in the other room, and listening to Carol on my laptop telling that little girl to just look at the flowers broke my heart. Despite whatever iconic characters I know get introduced later on in this show, I just honestly feel crushed. The situation makes me think of the Mom in Cormac McCarthy's The Road, wanting to end her life and her son's because the world simply wasn't for them anymore. I'm a fire fighter and before that I was a behavioral health technician for a long time. I've met more than one person who hurt their loved ones believing it was a mercy to spare them future pain. I would not have killed Lizzie. I cannot believe that was the best thing to do. I simply refuse to believe that was the right call, or it was "the hard but realistic choice." I believe those are nihilistic responses to that tragedy, and simply "removing" the problem child is morally wrong. I hope that characters like Dale come back into the show. I have more than enough real depressing stuff in my life and hope this show doesn't turn into another story of endlessly one upping on it's previous depravity.

2025.01.24 05:51 Longjumping-Stick138 I think my teacher overheard me and a classmate and I feel horrible but I am not sure how to apologize.
The title sums it up for the most part but there has is a little bit more to give a little more context. Recently, I have had a few new classes start because of the new semester starting one of which is the class that Ms. Z. (made-up name) teaches. She is nice and generally happy but is a little bit frustrating as a teachers because she tends to over explain things. She definitely is very smart and science brained but kinda struggles explaining things in a simple way. Both during lecture and when you ask a question it feel like she will just repeat or rephrase the whole lecture and it is very easy to get lost and confused because your not really sure what all is important and what isn't. She also repeats herself over and over using phrases like, "you understand?" or "correct?" after like every thing she says and so by the end of the lecture I usually feel kinda drained and overstimulated especially as a relatively quite person.
Anyway me and two of my classmates ended up leaving later than normal because we were kinda confused and had a lot of questions and I started chatting with one of them on the way out. We both started talking about how we were frustrated with the way they teach and that it just feels like too much most of the time and gets really confusing really fast. We kinda talked about how repetitive they are and how it gets old really fast. We made a few jokes about how repetitive she is and that it feels like you have to say you understand even when you don't because she is constantly asking. My classmate realized after a bit that she was walking behind us and we began worried that she might have over heard us. We just changed the subject and left the building but it has been bothering me ever since that she heard us and that it might have upset her. Especially because I try not to be that kind of person it has really been bothering me that I even did it to begin with and want to make it right if I can. I am not for sure that heard us but I really feel like I should apologize to her because it wasn't very kind to joke about the way she talks but I am not really sure how to approach it. Any advice on how to proceed or talk to her about with would be greatly appreciated.

The minimum age for you to participate in this gamble is 18 (any less and it's too easy) and remember You will be stuck at what age u are at when u choose any option with unaging.
For ex : consider I am 22 years old and i want to make the decision now (average male age of my country is 71) then the chance of me dying after the wheel spins is 0.309 I.e; 30.9%. And i have 69.1% chance of being immortal.
This is not only a question of what age u think is the best for this gamble and what type of immortality u will take but also a question of will u or will u not.

I was a 4 string guy for a pretty long time from the very start of my bass journey, 3 months ago i was short of low notes (that鈥檚 how i interpret it) and i yearned for a 5 string bass so i used all my savings and bought one. Last month i was learning some dream theater and necrophagist materials and realized they were all done on a 6 string. I know i could transpose for a 5 since it has 24 frets but my desire to get another extended range is beginning to rise realizing how i could do alot of cooler stuff on a 6. I鈥檓 broke but still i am desiring to get another bass. Pls don鈥檛 be like me
