The manpage for the GNU grep I have on Ubuntu seems to say that the only difference is that -R follows symlinks and -r does not (perhaps there were symlinks to folders in the folder you were testing in when you commented in 2015, explaining the behaviour you reported then?), but based ... ^[A-Za-z0-9_.]+$ From beginning until the end of the string, match one or more of these characters. Edit: Note that ^ and $ match the beginning and the end of a line.

They’re catching them with “tong” metal implements and then dragging them along the streets as well as poisoning or shooting them in public. This mass slaughter has sparked outrage, yet it seems largely ignored.
And let’s not forget the horrific treatment of laborers in Qatar during their World Cup preparations. Thousands of migrant workers faced inhumane conditions, long hours, and unpaid wages—and some even lost their lives.
Why do we keep giving FIFA a pass? Their greed and disregard for human and animal life are appalling. How much more needs to happen before people start holding them accountable??

While working with Mavicas, I found some features that are a bit confusing and I'd like some clarification.
What does interpolation do, I know it has something to do with photos but does it work well? How are the photos compared to non-interpolation photos?
What does the BitMap and Multi saving option do? I know the email one makes them smaller, but the photos didn't really look different with BitMap and I still don't know what Multi does.
Also, how does the diskcopy feature work? How does it retain information without a floppy being inside? Does it have solid state memory inside just for that?
Bonus question: what mavica would you recommend getting out of these 4? FD-88 FD-92 FD-97 FD-200

Due to increases in salaries we owe a few thousand this year. Is there a reason to hire a CPA to see if this can be reduced?
Pretty 'simple' life. Married, both work as employees, children, 'own' house with a mortgage.
No childcare expenses, no student loans, no other real deductions that I can think of that would quality.....but I'm not an expert. I have been using HR Block tax prep software for years to file.
Obviously have more take out this year.....just did not know if there was any legal ways to help reduce this cost that a expert tax CPA might know of to help out.
The amount in total taken out for federal taxes alone is absolutely mind-blowingly disgusting.....but that is not the point of this post - just a vent.
