I just found a pioneer 12 inch sub on the side of the road. Not the prettiest girl out there but it sure looks cool to me with the red stitching.š And i think u can change the casing? But it rlly doesnt matter to me.
Did all the tests on youtube using a multimeter to check if its not blown or smth? But i have absolutely no clue what a sub does? or how to set it up? I was planning on putting it in the back of my gu patrol and from what i cud find i need an amplifier and wiring. would that suffice? Do i need to change the stock headunit and the rest of the speakers?
Why is there a connection between the - and + of each side?

My derm (the cosmetic side) had an event tonight, where if you showed up youād get to do a consult with the techs for all the different treatments.
I love reading yāallās posts on this sub and had basically convinced myself that micro needling would be a better option for my skin concerns vs lasers.
Listen, my skin is not bad! My concerns are standard stuff: the occasional pimple, fine lines, texture and a little melasma from PP.
Does anyone have any input on microneedling vs lasers? Will I just end up doing lasers after all ? They were pushing the BBL HERO.š¦øš¼āāļø

2025.01.24 03:04 musteatbrainz Does it seem like your Kindergartener's curriculum is way more rigorous than what we had growing up?
I remember my own Kindergarten experience pretty well - we learned shapes, colors, animals, weather, clouds, etc. And there was lot of play and socializing, music, art, etc. Each day was a half day - AM or PM, switching after the first semester. And then we went onto first grade, where we learned more rigorous subjects like the alphabet, reading, writing, math, etc.
But my own 5 year old in Kindergartener is being asked to read and write in sentences, perform basic math (double digit math too as a "challenge"), etc. They're going very fast too - covering several letters per week. Even the teacher think it's too fast for the class, but she's required to follow the Los Angeles Unified curriculum (we're in public school).
She gets 6 pages of homework each week, which we complete on the weekends together. We do alphaet and sight word flash cards each morning. We've enrolled her in several weekend reading programs. And now we've started reading/writing and math tutoring on the weekends. And I still feel like she's not keeping up. FWIW she's a young 5, turning 6 in July - many of her classmates are turning six about now or even last semester.
Anyways, just curious if you find that Kindergarten is also not how you remember it, and whether you think it's age appropriate material (i.e. can your kid and other kids keep up?).
I really don't understand why it's so accelerated either - seems to create a lot of anxiety and pressure for both parents and students.

 | Utah is a streaky team. They have had 3 streaks losing, Oct 20 to Nov 20 (3W/10L) winning, Nov 20 to Dec 20 (9W/2L) and then losing again Dec 20 to Jan 16 (2W/9L). Now they won 2 in a row, could be the start of another winning streak. In general they donāt beat the top teams and they donāt habitually lose to the bottom teams. They lost one to the Sharks and one to the Ducks but other than that no big embarrassments. They beat Jets, Knights, Avalanche and Hurricanes for 4 underdog wins. So far, they do better on the road than at home. 10/9 versus 6/13. I have had Hulu for a while. My internet is Starlink so itās pretty good DL & UL speeds. But in the evenings while watching shows it never fails after the commercials with 3 seconds left in the commercial break Hulu always freezes. Cracked a wheel so air keeps leaking out of one of my tires and I wonāt be able to get a replacement wheel for a week (or more.) Is it bad to leave that tire deflated since itāll just keep leaking air? The tire itself is fine; I wonāt be driving the car until I get the issue fixed so itās just been sitting. Will doing this impact the tire in anyway? I plan to swap the tire onto the new wheel once itās delivered.
Tires are Michelin PS4S 255/30 so they are prettyyyy thin. Bought new back in July 2024 with ~18k miles.

So, I've been using action launcher for a while but an update broke a double tap gesture on my home screen to turn off the display of my phone. I know next to nothing about Tasker, but I have a few actions I use and was trying to figure out if something like that double tap gesture could be replicated to turn off the display on my phone without having to resort to clicking the power button. I used to have a OnePlus phone that I had customized the back button to turn off the display. Would either a home screen double tap or soft key back button long press work in Tasker to turn off the display on my phone? Thanks

2025.01.24 03:04 GreenKing- Phone logs. Day 1.
If you believe the theory about an accident where they got lost, wandered off the trail deep into the jungle, fell, and/or got injured, Iād say the issue lies with the phone logs. I could understand if, for example, later in the evening or a few hours after their first attempts, they decided to try again a few times before turning their phones off - now being convinced that calling is pointless and itās not even worth the effort anymore. But hereās what doesnāt make sense to me: how do you make just one call attempt and then turn off both phones until the next morning? Wouldnāt they want to make sure that they cannot reach any help before giving up for the night? It seems like they were absolutely dead-set on the idea that: āWe wonāt be able to call, 100%.ā And then they waited until the next morning to try again. What you think they were doing all that time until morning? Building a cell tower? They obviously couldnāt walk, couldnāt sleep, stayed in one spot, in complete darkness.
Now, Iām not saying it was completely illogical or unreasonable to turn off their phones right away. I understand why many people might accept that explanation of saving the battery right away. But does it really fit the behavior of two young, inexperienced girls who were likely terrified, hungry, thirsty, cold, stressed, tired, and desperate to get out as soon as possible having their phones as the only thing for potential rescue? To act that way from the start would require some experience and a level of mental resilience to stay calm, and make calculated decisions. I could understand if such a pattern began on Day 2, but the behavior we see on Day 1.. it seems like the person making these calls was already very much ahead of the time knowing exactly what heās doing.
From Day 1, the pattern mostly remains consistent , with no significant changes - no signs of ābangingā on a closed door in desperation, such as multiple call attempts. A single call - phone off. Each time until the last day. In my opinion, if the girls had been in such an accident, they would have kept trying to call for help on Day 1 until giving up. That should be reflected in the phone logs. Seeing such logs would indirectly support the idea that they were lost, had an accident, and were trying to get out. I do believe they would have kept trying for longer, even without a signal, holding onto the hope that a call might somehow go through, because such hope is usually the last thing to go before someone finally gives up. Only then, perhaps, they would have started conserving their battery.
You can decide for yourself whatever you want. But personally, I see the phone logs as nonsense - and itās just one out of many. This is why Iāve mostly taken the side of foul play. For years, thereās been nothing convincing about them being lost. Only discussions on how they were lost. But were they in fact?ā¦Maybe someday, something or someone will change my mind.
Whatās interesting is that Scarlet, using an iPhone 4, was able to contact emergency services for 23 seconds after multiple attempts, even though she had no signal, no network, no SIM card.

I'm(16FtM) wondering how many times you guys went to a psychologist before getting a correct diagnosis. The psychologist I went to said that despite showing signs of autism (I'm 15) it's "impossible" for me to be autistic (this was after taking the ADOS) I came up with mild symptoms(makes sense cause I'm female) but due to my parents not noticing a lot of signs(though after interrogating my mom there were a few, even if they weren't as obvious) between 0-4, they said it was impossible for me to be autistic and instead says I have something called Schizoid Personality Disorder My dad agrees with this. My mom, grandma, friends, and general practitioner do not. They do all agree I'm autistic and we all want a second opinion on the matter, but I'm wondering if I'm even in the position to judge, on this. Should I just listen to the first psychologist or (if we can afford it) get a second opinion?
