hi! I need some advice, I’m currently in texas working on getting my BSN! I graduate this august from utmb and I’ve notice with the class above us graduating are having a hard time finding residencies☹️
I really would love to work in the NICU I’m currently doing my clinicals at TCH but heard the spots are so limited there! With that being said my gpa isn’t the greatest I’m at a 3.01 (i regret doing an accelerated program lol) and I did work as a cna for about a year before getting into nursing school.
I would really love to stay in Houston but knowing how competitive/limited spots are what are other areas out of state that would give me a better chance? Should I even relocate if I don’t get a residency? I’m still going to apply to TCH and MHC and hope that I still have a chance.

Right now I'm listening to "sky city" and I really get disappointed every time I hear this song. It was a song that I really liked, but those AI verses completely ruin this song.
I wanted to know how you guys are dealing with with the use of AI in the music industry.
We all know that Ye is extremely influential and trendsetting. Both we and he know that AI is the future of many things, which is one of the reasons he is making that film with AI. And that's something that worries me, AI in music pisses me off.
Honestly, the AI accusations of timeless make me sad.

Hello. I’m having a very annoying problem where it seems like half my chess.com daily games are unrated for some reason. There’s no way to see the setting on my phone as far as I know and I just don’t know wtf is going on. At the end of any daily game it’s a 50/50 if I will gain/lose rating or if there will just be no rating change. Very annoying to play a long good game then get no reward..
Can anyone advise what is happening here? There’s no way to see if my games are rated or not..? Why? I have never untoggled the rating tab in custom game settings.
I don’t have access to desktop computer to see if there’s more info about my games there. If it helps my username is m-sorrenti And the game I just finished against Ashton gave me no rating.

I am writing this for several reasons. I don’t post often on Reddit or anywhere really, especially personal things. I don’t even like writing that much, but I’m struggling and I am hoping it’s cathartic for me or helpful for someone else struggling.
I am a 100% service-connected USMC infantry combat veteran from Iraq and I depend on the Veterans Administration for my healthcare. I am also diabetic and can’t get the VA to fill the prescription for the medication I use to manage it. I am within the healthy weight range for my height, I exercise, and have done my best to control what I can control since being diagnosed.
I have only been on it for a year, but the side effects of not having it have been rough. Frequent headaches, upset stomach, and dizziness spells. I am going on day 4 without meds and right now, moving at all is a struggle. I will survive until my appointment without it because I am relatively young and relatively fit, but I can’t help sitting here worrying about how much time this is shaving off of the end of my life.
I tried to refill my regular prescription at the local VA pharmacy and they have refused to fill it. They said I haven’t been seen since the end of 2023, my last annual exam, which is accurate because when I tried to schedule it last year, the soonest appointment was four months out, and I still have that appointment. They also don’t believe I have a primary care physician because their systems aren’t showing it, even though I have an appointment with the same doctor as the last exam in early February.
The only reason I’m going through this is because no one at the VA pharmacy is willing to contact my doctor or make an effort to confirm I actually have an appointment. I started the refill early last week to prevent going untreated, but it didn’t help. I tried to tell the pharmacy that I have an appointment and they have a mistake, but they haven’t responded to my last message trying to explain the issue in days.
I have tried to send a message to both Senator Merkley and Senator Wyden (I live in Oregon) via their website, no response. I tried calling their offices, no one answered any of the calls. The only reason I haven’t contacted my representative in the House as well is because I worked in the office for many years and it is somehow even more uncomfortable sharing my personal medical information with them than it is with strangers.
But that’s the choice I have to make tomorrow because the pharmacy here isn’t willing to confirm an appointment with the doctor who works in the same building and my senators can't be bothered.

It might just be anxiety but from my last post i stated that i recently had sex on friday and he pulled out and i gave him a little bit of oral sex and then he attempted to reinsert it but not all the way. We stopped right after, Im on the birth control pill and i’ve been on it for maybe 2 ish years and usually my period comes the 2nd or 3rd placebo day, but i started the placebo week on sunday and i’ve only had a tiny bit of spotting and today (the 4th pill day) i had a little more blood but not like a normal amount still a little bit. So for context my dad had passed away back in April. My mom has began feeling lonely from my dad's passing as expected. But my Mother fell into the trap of talking to online scammers, and specifically one in particular. She met them through TikTok of all places, and to top it off, she even sent them money for their supposed child. He claims he is military and even told my mom he's on a deployment. I've explained to her that everything he is telling her is an attempt to get her attached. And unfortunately, she has began to believe his lies to an unreasonable amount. She has told me on multiple occasions that she is upset at me because he won't continue to date her unless he has my "Blessings", but I've told my my mom, have they called you? Have they video chatted you? To which their response is, that they can't because their phone is broken to do those things. They were going under a different alias and I proved to her that they weren't who they said they were by reverse imaging. Then they showed a different picture and it was of another guy. He claims this is actually him but the name doesn't match. He scammed my mom out of 600 dollars thru steam gift cards. She buys them and sends the picture of the code, classic scam move. They also can't seem to spell correctly. Which is another red flag. But everytime She blocks him, she unblocks him and she says she is "In Love" with them and that she is too forgiving. And she is taking her anger out on me.
I don't know what to do, she said she's planning to move out once they're back, and all I can do is let her fail and see her own mistakes.
