2025.01.24 03:04 GreenKing- Phone logs. Day 1.
If you believe the theory about an accident where they got lost, wandered off the trail deep into the jungle, fell, and/or got injured, I’d say the issue lies with the phone logs. I could understand if, for example, later in the evening or a few hours after their first attempts, they decided to try again a few times before turning their phones off - now being convinced that calling is pointless and it’s not even worth the effort anymore. But here’s what doesn’t make sense to me: how do you make just one call attempt and then turn off both phones until the next morning? Wouldn’t they want to make sure that they cannot reach any help before giving up for the night? It seems like they were absolutely dead-set on the idea that: “We won’t be able to call, 100%.” And then they waited until the next morning to try again. What you think they were doing all that time until morning? Building a cell tower? They obviously couldn’t walk, couldn’t sleep, stayed in one spot, in complete darkness.
Now, I’m not saying it was completely illogical or unreasonable to turn off their phones right away. I understand why many people might accept that explanation of saving the battery right away. But does it really fit the behavior of two young, inexperienced girls who were likely terrified, hungry, thirsty, cold, stressed, tired, and desperate to get out as soon as possible having their phones as the only thing for potential rescue? To act that way from the start would require some experience and a level of mental resilience to stay calm, and make calculated decisions. I could understand if such a pattern began on Day 2, but the behavior we see on Day 1.. it seems like the person making these calls was already very much ahead of the time knowing exactly what he’s doing.
From Day 1, the pattern mostly remains consistent , with no significant changes - no signs of “banging” on a closed door in desperation, such as multiple call attempts. A single call - phone off. Each time until the last day. In my opinion, if the girls had been in such an accident, they would have kept trying to call for help on Day 1 until giving up. That should be reflected in the phone logs. Seeing such logs would indirectly support the idea that they were lost, had an accident, and were trying to get out. I do believe they would have kept trying for longer, even without a signal, holding onto the hope that a call might somehow go through, because such hope is usually the last thing to go before someone finally gives up. Only then, perhaps, they would have started conserving their battery.
You can decide for yourself whatever you want. But personally, I see the phone logs as nonsense - and it’s just one out of many. This is why I’ve mostly taken the side of foul play. For years, there’s been nothing convincing about them being lost. Only discussions on how they were lost. But were they in fact?…Maybe someday, something or someone will change my mind.
What’s interesting is that Scarlet, using an iPhone 4, was able to contact emergency services for 23 seconds after multiple attempts, even though she had no signal, no network, no SIM card.

I'm(16FtM) wondering how many times you guys went to a psychologist before getting a correct diagnosis. The psychologist I went to said that despite showing signs of autism (I'm 15) it's "impossible" for me to be autistic (this was after taking the ADOS) I came up with mild symptoms(makes sense cause I'm female) but due to my parents not noticing a lot of signs(though after interrogating my mom there were a few, even if they weren't as obvious) between 0-4, they said it was impossible for me to be autistic and instead says I have something called Schizoid Personality Disorder My dad agrees with this. My mom, grandma, friends, and general practitioner do not. They do all agree I'm autistic and we all want a second opinion on the matter, but I'm wondering if I'm even in the position to judge, on this. Should I just listen to the first psychologist or (if we can afford it) get a second opinion?

I am pet sitting a kitty I’ve known for almost 10 years for 2 months. I’m almost half way thru. She’s 17 years old (doesn’t look it), 13lbs and over all very healthy. About three months ago, she started sneezing. Violently. Anywhere from 5-25x in a row. When she does this, snot comes out, but only from her left nostril and it’s clear with no blood. Her eyes have always been clear-no other symptoms except for congestion and sneezing. Her owners took her to the vet a few weeks ago where they supposedly did a thorough exam, but little testing. They confirmed she doesn’t have a foreign object up there, and that it wouldn’t be a virus based on the duration, so they gave her an antibiotic (or steroid not sure) injection which did nothing. She’s eating, drinking, using the bathroom fine, no swelling, but just continual snot. In addition to sneezing, she does the reverse sneezes, snorts, has weird smelling breath, and is stuffy at different points during the day. I took it upon myself to switch her litter from Febreeze Tidy Cats to a dust and scent free litter. This was almost two weeks ago but I see no difference. I have given her steam baths which see to help. I can’t exactly have tests run while her owners are gone, but I am sick over her being sick and not knowing how to help her or if she’s suffering. She’s started some mouth breathing on and off. She also has good days and bad days. I’m at a loss. Any ideas, home remedies or advice on waiting a month for the owners to come back are greatly appreciated. TIA! 🙏

It's been 4-5 months now, my last relationship was very toxic the way we got codependent on each other but then he would cheat on me and ruin it all but we started as two best friends figuring our way through our volunteering passion. I urgently come to say how rotten and horrible this game is. It's something absurdly bad; I mean that the rot of this game directly affects its gameplay. Many bugs that compromise the combat, where sometimes it seems like it is even manipulated like a "handicap" from PES and FIFA. You can't forget how shitty it is to deal with sons of bitches who don't know how to play alone, and to feel like they're skilled at something, they form a ridiculous little team that ends up completely taking the fun out of the game. It's not fair for three people to attack a single player, that's fucking shameless (I really hope that the players who do this disappear from existence permanently).
Other than that, this game is complete SHIT; I've never seen anything as miserable and buggy as this shit is. Fuck you, bunch of rats.

Saw my current provider, I like him, but I recognize his limitations as a nurse practitioner for addiction treatment at the clinic I go to for other things. I have been physically exhausted to the point of sleeping for 24 hours straight regularly, but also just mentally exhausted with trying to make everything work out on my own. I have adhd, and maybe the only option available is to up my adderall so my other meds don’t over well me with fatigue. It sucks becauses, I still have breath through pain with suboxone and the OTC stuff, while I’ve gone through a lot of the non-opioid stuff already. It’s funny how doctors will talk about suboxone as if it’s not an opioid, even though it still is, albeit an eccentric one, it still is. I feel like falling asleep, even though I feel like I haven’t eaten anything today due to the physical exercise I get from just going to the doctors office. On top of that, every time I think about something Good that would get me out more often, it turns out it costs a lot of money for me and I wouldn’t be able to afford it.

2025.01.24 03:04 gregdpw Setting up a mesh network. Two wired backhaul and one wireless backhaul.
Okay in my house I have my main wireless router in our upstairs. The problem I have is not having a strong signal in our basement.
So I want to do a wifi mesh network. My plan is to connect one node to my cable modem upstairs. The 2nd node is going to be a wireless backhaul on my main floor. And in my basement I plan on connecting the third node to the main floor node via ethernet cable.
Is that possible to have a node wired to a wireless node? I want to do that because I want the speed from my main floor node to be the same in my basement.
I am concerned with the third node being wireless because it's in the basement.
