2025.01.24 03:32 Parnwig [Unstoppable] victory on hard. This game is fantastic
This was my 9th playthrough not counting complete blunders that ended in less than 5 rounds. I was excited for this game and it has exceeded my expectations. My biggest concern going in was set up and tear down given the card crafting mechanic's requirement for sleeving and unsleeving. Set up is a few minutes and tear down, with a sorting system, is less than 10 minutes. The game itself has great variety and lets you see many cards in each playthrough and make meaningful decisions in almost every round, once you get the hang of it. There is a bit of a learning curve, and probably more I'd you don't have experience with deck builders, but it's well worth it. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who likes deck builders. submitted by Parnwig to soloboardgaming [link] [comments] |

Looking to find a mentor figure in the future. My Season Best is Gold 3 as of season 0 and 1. I want to be a flex player. Currently all I tend to be good at is support. I used to do well as a tank on overwatch but that was years ago. Not so great now.
Was thinking about that marvel rivals academy thing. Is that any good?

2025.01.24 03:32 Darth-Rogue Leak on both D and P windows?
Here goes another post. Has anyone dealt with a leak in the driver and passenger window? Took the 370z through the car wash and noticed some water leaking in through the triangle plastic trim piece in the window. I just bought the car and yeah, it’s salvage. Trying to iron out the major stuff I come across. The leak starts from the top, not the bottom. I’m having my mechanic take a look on Saturday while he does some other stuff on it. Just trying to get a head start. submitted by Darth-Rogue to 370z [link] [comments] |

2025.01.24 03:32 TarantulaFangs Why I think Resident Evil 2 is the best game in the series. 🧟♂️🧬🦠
Look, I get it, everyone has their opinion, and you know what they say opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one, lol. But I feel like I am one of the very few people that truly believes that RE2 is the best game in the series. I’ve had recent debates with friends and it seems like majority of people believe RE4 is the best game of the franchise. Now, as much as I enjoy RE4, I stand by my opinion that RE2 is the best game of the Resident Evil series and I’ll give you my personal reasons.
Resident Evil does horror right : I find myself rarely finding a good scare now a days, in films, tv shows, and even games. Sure, we can fall for a jump scare but I think horror is sooo much more than that. I want to take a moment mid game to was the shit stains out of my jeans, I want to be looking over my shoulders when I have to take the garbage out at night. THATS when I know horror was done right and RE2 does EXACTLY like.
Re1 introduced us to SURVIVAL HORROR, but it was RE2 that perfected it. Now, RE3 caused me a lot of anxiety because of the butt ugly nemesis constantly at the end of my heels, but RE2 was a perfect balance of both games. There were moments where I felt the pressure and anxiety from Mr. X as I searched the police department, but it wasn’t consistent where I felt I had to rush and couldn’t absorb the atmosphere, storyline and environment of the RE world. While RE4 had scary moments, there were very few times where I had to take a break and revisit the game in a few days like RE2. Furthermore, there seemed to be a massive shift in RE4, it turned from a SURVIVAL HORROR game to a ACTION HORROR, not trying to take anything away from RE4, but it sort of became a bit of a cheesy action film.
The characters: Leon became to much of a unrealistic badass superhero, imo, I no longer felt the anxiety of finishing the game because I felt I had become this unstoppable badass with all the tools, tricks and skills. Yes, cool character, but too unbelievable in my opinion. While Leon was a believable normal rookie cop with a profound sense of loyalty to protect and serve the (evil) residents of raccoon city. Every character I came across in RE2 just seemed like a real person I’d meet, nothing stuck out as cheesy over the top, everyone was believable. While all the other RE’s had cool characters, meeting Marvin, Ben, Kendo, etc all seemed like it were people I would come across the neighborhood and I grew to like them all and the parts they played in the game. I rarely found myself thinking anything said was over the top or cheesy.
The monsters : I just felt the monsters in RE2 were the best, from zombies, sewer monsters, ivys, lickers, everyone of them gave me a mini heart attack. All were perfectly designed and didn’t seem like they were try hard creatures. Mr. X, Dr. Birkin were the height of those fears, God damn, how many times I died trying to knock off Birkin while running away like a little girl.
The environment : sure all the other REs had some really awesome environments, especially RE4, but man RE2 scared me the most. Massive Police station that was once a museum, infested sewers, hidden laboratory, every single one had it’s memorable eerie atmosphere that stays in my mind, more realistic than being in the castles or in a town full of granados. (Still cool though) From Zombies popping out of the windows, to Mr. X breaking through walls, to monsters trying to eat you in the sewers, it all just fit.
To end this long rant or review or whatever you want to call it, RE2 is a 10+ game for me, I have absolutely no criticism for it, I’ve tried to find things I dislike and only thing that stuck out was the fact that the experience ended too quickly for me 😂. I just revisited it recently and it still scares the shit outta me. Horror done right is an art, and I wish soo badly they remade the originals just like RE2.

2025.01.24 03:32 Tristan99504 CT scan found scar tissue on lung. What does this mean for me?
Hello. I'm a 23 year old male who has lived a very sedentary life the past 10 years or so due to unfortunate family circumstances. For a long time, I've been having occasional chest pain/discomfort and heart rate spikes. After a long time, we were finally able to get me checked, and while my heart is fine, they discovered what is likely(?) a small amount of scar tissue on one of my lungs.
I've never heard of this before, so I googled it (mistake 1) and immediately went down the rabbit hole that is Pulmonary Fibrosis. Everywhere, every single site points me to it being a progressive disease that will kill me in a few years. I then read that sometimes lung scarring can just exist as a result of previous illnesses, and not threaten your life expectancy, and now I'm not sure what to believe.
I just want to know is this something that is guaranteed to progress? I'm only 23, never smoked, no family history of health conditions like this, never really struggled with a cough or shortness of breath before. I had covid several times, the first time lasting nearly 50 days in 2020, and then again in 2021 and 2023 (each around 2 weeks this time). I also likely had whooping cough in 2018, but we aren't too sure about that one.
It's apparently a very very small amount of scar tissue, and the doctors didn't sound too concerned. They just wanted to check back again in April or so to ensure it isn't progressing.
My mind wanders to dark places very fast. Any information about lung scarring would be much appreciated.

2025.01.24 03:32 No-Importance-5314 Should I take offer?
Original list price on my house was 389,999. Listed it in December, awful I know, but it is what it is. Long story short, reduced price twice as it sat on market for almost 45 days before getting a decent offer. I had a realtor lowball me at 300,000k, I just declined, didn't even counter. The latest offer was 360,000 with me essentially paying all closing costs, roughly 12k plus a worthless home warranty. I countered back to asking price and cover closing plus toilet paper home warranty. They accept pending......home inspection. Just got the counter back from the inspection and although everything works just fine, the HVAC is 32 years old and the radon test came back at 3.9. Anything about 4.0 is considered unacceptable. The buyers want a mitigation system installed (around 1000 dollars) all closing costs paid, warranty, and back to original offer price of 360,000. I am fine installing a mitigation system, that's pretty reasonable, but paying all closing costs plus a drop in 10k on price is overall about 23k in concessions when a new 2 ton HVAC unit installed is 2500-3000. I'm really not wanting to lose the buyer so I'm half tempted to just accept the 360,000 as I have plenty of equity but at the same time feel like I'm being bent over a barrel here. My agent said to just meet in the middle and counter at 365,500 but if I lose the sale over 5k, and I gotta deal with this nonsense for even longer, I am gonna go nuts and likely run the risk of having to replace the HVAC or something else along the way. I'll probably just let him counter at 365500 or maybe 364,999 and hope they take it, that seems reasonable to me. Asking for 24k (including mitigation system) in concessions when the repairs would amount to about 6k total seems like a bit much. The house has a value of around 373,000 so they are getting it below value to begin with. Thanks for any thoughts!
On a side note, the home inspector said the ducts were too small for the HVAC unit but it's all original so I'm not sure if that has changed over time or not, not sure why they would install ductwork that was too small on original construction.
