I was wondering if anyone had any advice in keeping gardenia blooms floating in water for long periods of time?
One of my clients wants to have gardenias blooms floating in a bowl of water weekly. I’ve never worked with gardenias in this capacity and I don’t think they would even last that long.
I was thinking of giving it a misting of clear life before putting it in water and I’ve read about squeezing some lemon juice into to the water (to prevent browning?). Just wanted to see if anyone has some experience or advice they would be willing to share with me.

Struggling mentally with my birth experience
FTM. I planned for a homebirth in September. Did all the things, had a doula and a midwife and a birthing pool set up at home. I was so excited about it and thought I would be able to handle it. I laboured at home for about 23 hours, in and out of the pool, tens machine, bathtub, toilet backwards, midwives brew, etc.
I think I dilated pretty slowly. I began labour at 4am. I got checked in the morning at 10am and I was 3cm and then at 7pm I was only 5cm. I was 9cm at 3am. I started to get really tired after midnight and was falling asleep between contractions. Mentally I wasn’t coping and I began begging to be taken to the hospital. My midwife assured me baby was fine and everything was okay. I began pushing at home but couldn’t really feel where to push so was just trying my best to follow my midwife’s instructions. I got so tired that my midwife finally said okay maybe we should go to the hospital just in case. The ambulance came and I got fentanyl in the ambulance because I was in so much pain. By the time I got to the hospital and in the room I was crowning. (Hospital is maybe 10/15 mins away). By then I could feel where to push and it wasn’t a problem to push (but the pain was INSANE). I gave birth to my daughter there but she tore me on the way out at the top. Her head didn’t cone or anything 🥴 It was all soooo overwhelming and painful that I wasn’t even happy when my baby came out. I was still in pain and I went into shock. So I didn’t have any satisfaction from my birth at all. I was immediately emotional and upset and I remained that way for a week. I was ashamed of myself and how I begged to go to the hospital. I felt like I was a failure to myself and my boyfriend who I knew was disappointed.
We talked about it with the doula and midwife and cleared some things up. My doula consoled my boyfriend by suggesting that my baby’s head just wasn’t positioned properly in the pelvis and that had I started off in the hospital I likely would have ended in a c-section given the length of time, no antibiotics, etc.
That helped me heal some, but I watch other people talk about their unmedicated births and home births and I feel so envious. Like if I could have just held out for another hour I would have given birth at home like I wanted. There was no real medical necessity to go to the hospital other than I wasn’t coping mentally.
Even people who talk about having unmedicated births in hospitals - I’m envious about them. But I did give birth unmedicated. I didn’t have an epidural. I guess I’m just looking for recognition or acknowledgement? Can I say I had an unmedicated birth? I had a shot of fentanyl in the ambulance but it didn’t really do anything other than relax me enough to nap on the ride.
I wish I could be proud of how I birthed. But it was just so wild. I wish I could have done more or held on longer to remain at home.
Baby girl is healthy and happy and so wonderful and I’m thankful that I didn’t get an epidural for her sake. But I hate the thought that I entertained it. I couldn’t stay true to myself.
I think a lot of the trauma has to do with the pain. And that’s also where I feel shame. Shame that I asked for pain relief. And shame that all I could focus on was the pain even after my baby was born and in my arms. It was supposed to be the happiest moment of my life but all I could focus on was my burning, torn up vagina. (First degree tears in three places that required stitches, top and bottom). I also didn’t want to be there at the hospital any longer and demanded to leave as soon as the stitches were done. (I gave birth at 4:30am after 24.5 hours of labour and then left the hospital at 10am lol)

I'm unsure if this counts but I'm unsure where else to post this So I'm I'm the bathroom brushing my teeth and such when I started having a pain in my ear, this happens from time to time so I grabbed some tweezers and starting taking out any wax that might be blocking it up. And I find wax, a lot of old dark wax which is weird because I clean my ear semi-regularly Then I hear something hit the sink and look down and see a small metal disk like thing. I pick it up and I swear the memories flush back like that scene from ratatouille 11 years ago I remeber putting this in my ear because I wanted an earing but didn't know how they worked. Imedly my ear got better, better then I ever remeber it being. Now it's midnight and I'm staring at the disk which I put in a zip lock bag thinking about this Tl;Dr I was cleaning my ears with tweezers when I pulled something out I put in there 11 years ago

Im considering what form my game should take, be it proper pen and paper, augmented with 3d printed parts, maybe a card based system?
What I know so far is that I want the game to focus around crafting and building relationships with NPCs so that when combat comes around you have the people and gear you need to fight off the enemy.
As an example lets say you need a Blacksmith to make new weapons/tools/armour and repair damaged equipment, if you dont have a Blacksmith capable of making what you need youll need to buy it.
The same goes for making new buildings, food, medicine, and eventually in the late game building walls to protect your little settlement.
I'd like the settlement to be easy enough to assemble that the Party could visit another settlement, and have the DM set up the layout on the fly, and for the players to easily be able to remember and set up their settlement at the start of each game. But still allow for enough detail that everyone can get a solid image of what this little town they've created looks like.
Can anyone reccomend a medium that might suit what i'm looking for? I really want to center the game around maintaining supplies, crafting equipment and preparing your town for the next threat to come and I'm not sure if pure pen and paper is the right medium for that

I have been looking to get a split. Have planned out some details for a split keeb.
My next concern is how to go about navigation such as moving up and down a page.. and moving cursor with a split keeb setup.
Currently I use a laptop and I have got used to the trackpad.
There is also the old, nice mouse and I have come across an option of trackball too?
How does one go about selecting one?
I am personally inclining to trackpad options like SoflePLUS2 (XCMKB), dilemma (Bastard).
Also what's a convenient way to scroll?
I am inclining to a rotary encoder ( horizontal ) for that. How easy is to install one ( I will mostly be getting it built by an enthusiast ).
What other hacks are used to navigate?
Getting my hands off the keeb while typing to go for the mouse would feel kinda awkward now I feel. (?)

I have been on accutane twice in my life. Once when I was about 15 for 7 months (80 mg max) and again at 19 for 8 months (100 mg max). For reference I weigh about 115 pounds. My skin was looking pretty good for a while after the second time on accutane but 2 months post treatment I am breaking out severely. I am taking spiranolactone (for another reason) and my derm just put me on tretinoin. I am incredibly worried that the tret is going to make me purge like crazy and I’ll end up with even worse scarring and acne than before. Has anybody ever started tret afterwards and did it make things worse? This is pretty upsetting considering I’ve already done accutane twice and my skin is a mess. Not cystic acne, just stubborn stubborn breakouts.
