2025.01.24 05:23 jalandslide What I learned in my psilocybin experience today.
I’m 64 and have had meds and multiple therapies to try to live positively with my depression and anxiety. All therapies which were helpful include talk, dialectic behavior therapy, EMDR and hypnosis. However, no matter what I’ve done, I’ve still had some things I couldn’t process including sexual kissing and touching from my step grandfather. I live in Oregon in the US, where, in a clinic, you can use psilocybin legally. So to try to understand why I didn’t have emotions around the abuse, and yet, still can’t stop thinking about it, I tried mushrooms today. Oh, let me add, today I drank a mushroom tea at a legal clinic and was with a certified psilocybin facilitator. But my big take away, was it wasn’t my feeling or memories about the abuse that was stuck, but the feelings of my abuser. With him, I felt his overpowering lust, desire to possess and consume me, to have me to himself completely. And though not appropriate also a form of passionate love I had never experienced before or since. It was HIS emotions that got stuck in me. My 10 year old self didn’t understand them or what to do with them, so they were dammed up and I’ve been carrying his buried emotions in my body all these years. Today, I felt them and could let them start to flow through me and out. Although I’ve had a few romantic relationships I was never able to truly feel their romantic love pass through, because my abusers “love” was blocking it. I hope this makes sense and doesn’t sound hokey. It is a mind blowing, life changing understanding for me. I feel hope to move through and forward and some good days may be yet to come.

Hello Nikon shooters
Ive been using d850 from 4 years with 24-70 f2.8 and 50mm 1.8 Nikon native lenses. I’ve been using DSLR’s for more than 15 years. I do maternity, family and baby shoots(Mostly in a studio). I have observed that the d850 pictures are not properly focused. Earlier I used to believe thats its an user error. Almost half of the times its not properly focused(try checking the RAW Files). I have done the fine tuning and I know my settings are always correct. The picture quality is really superior. I bought this camera as lots of photographers and forum’s say its one of the best cameras. I was wondering why no one actually talking about these issues in d850. I am happily moving from Nikon to sony. I would advise please don’t spend your money on Nikon even for the latest Z9. Save your money and go for sony or Canon if youre shooting weddings, portraits and family pictures.
