3 years ago, I had a crush on one of my friends (boy 1). I confessed on valentines and he didn't directly reject me but he didn't like me back. Fast forward maybe 2 weeks and he started dating my best friend at the time (who knew I liked boy 1). I then had another crush on this guy (boy 2) who I've known since I was around 9 and confessed to him as well but he liked the friend of mine that dated boy 1. Fast forward a year, I had a huge crush on boy 3 who was a new student in my class and was incredibly smart and talented. I confessed after a meet up with my friends after I dared one of my other friends to make a move on his crush. When I confessed to boy 3,he again didn't directly reject me but I knew he didn't like me back but I still liked him. At the end of our school year, he confessed to the girl he actually liked. Yes, you guessed it. My best friend (different one from the first bsf). She did not like him back because she knew I was crazy in love with him. I always said boy 3 was my first love because it took me 2 years to get over him 😆. Boy 4 was a smaller crush but, again, he liked my best friend. Now, onto boy 5. He was a crush I suddenly developed and it really did come so suddenly. I thought it was just another small crush / infatuation until today. I was talking with my friend (let's call him Xavier) and Xavier told me that he and some of his other roommates had a talk and boy 5 talked about a girl he liked. I thought that that girl was me because I got mixed signals from him which I thought meant he liked me back. I asked Xavier for clues on who the girl was and he told me he didn't want to tell me. I asked him how sad I would be if I knew who it was and he told me VERY sad. I immediately knew that the girl was not me but probably my very pretty and smart best friend. Xavier told me that the girl boy 5 was talking about was smart and my friend so I assumed it was her. Although Xavier never told me who the girl was, I asked him to tell me if it was about me or not. He said no. And at that point, everything I was thinking of became a reality. I started thinking over and over again about the times I experienced the exact same situation and it was always my best friend. I am not a bad person. I get good grades, help a lot in class works, funny, talented, I guess I'm pretty average looking too, and yet I never catch the interest of my interests. I know I'm not the only one who experiences this so I would just like some advice on how to feel better about situations like this and how to move on from this guy.
(Some additional info: All these crushes had either a year or less of a gap. I did not like all these people right after the last one)

I know I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this one, but I just gotta say, though not at all surprised, I was incredibly disappointed to see Theo Von at the inauguration.
I used to be a huge Theo fan. I religiously listened to his podcasts. I miss his earlier stuff where he did more solo episodes and interviewed everyday people. I loved it and loved the variety of his guests. The lunch lady, the carny, his nephews -- the best. He had this man on there promoting his book about near death experiences once and it LITERALLY changed my life. He might have had some asshole like Tucker Carlson on there, but then would turn around and have someone like Bernie Sanders. He may have had Joe Rogan, but he also had Brittany Broski. I sadly started to lose interest when he began to get even more political and haven't watched an episode of his in months, but still really liked him. After seeing him at the inauguration though, I'm feeling a little heartbroken.
I know I'm probably in a minority of Theo fans that is much more left leaning. I always knew Theo was more right leaning. I knew he was a Trump supporter. I also knew that a lot of his schtick is fake or exaggerated and that he's not as stupid as he can play. I know, I know, I KNOW. But still, even so, I really liked Theo. Maybe he's got me fooled, but I guess he honestly just seemed different in some way.
I don't know exactly what it is about him that I liked so much or that made me give him a lot more slack than I would've with others, but I think it boils down to this: he reminded me of how life and politics used to be, more or less, before the age of Trump. When you could be in support of opposing parties, but still be friends with someone. When you may have aligned more with one candidate or party than the other, but you weren't in fear for your life if the opposition took office...when everything wasn't so utterly and completely divided. In today's political climate, that almost feels impossible sometimes. Theo used to give me a little hope and was something that could unite people a little more.
Idk. Say what you want, call me what you want, hate on me all you want. But seeing Theo there and sitting with the people he was sitting with felt like finding out Santa wasn't real. It just...sucked.

I just want to start by letting you know that I'll be snarking on Lo's chemical pregnancy.
Unfortunately, Lo's chemical pregnancy vlog popped up on my feed - so I decided to watch it. And regretted it.
This woman is milking the f out of this. I'm sorry if some people find this mean, however in the medical world a chemical pregnancy is one factor to the term "false positive".
Lo has never talked about being infertile - going through this during an infertility journey is tough. And I feel like this is insensitive to those going through infertility as we know she'll (most likely) get pregnant again.
However, a lot of women having unprotected s*x have had a chemical pregnancy. A lot of mums with multiple kids would have had a chemical pregnancy - and a lot of them wouldn't have realised they had one - they would just get a late period that is extremely heavy and clotty. The reason she found out is because she's constantly taking pregnancy tests. If she waited three more days (I think that's when it was), she wouldn't have even realised she had a chemical pregnancy.
Idk I'm just getting "popular girl in high school attention seeking" vibes from all of this milking of it. Especially since she has that TT pinned to her profile to let everyone know of the hardships she's going through.
I find it extremely disingenuous how much she is milking this, to the point that it comes off as she's glad this happened as it's more content and more engagement for her.
If she was really sad about it, she wouldn't have shared it so publicly and grieved with her loved ones. Then maybe share about it later. Not a few days later.

2025.01.24 08:19 emptycoils If my sows tend towards hormonal, should I skip on a neutered boar?
So, it's that time of the three-weeks, and I have seen all four of my sows chasing, mounting, rumbling at each other and generally causing big drama and pee attacks. I thought not all sows were prone to this, but all four of mine have their moment over the course of a very melodramatic 4 days or so, not quite once a month. Is this a sign I should pass on any plans for adding a neutered boar to the herd? I started to wonder if it would make the entire situation more stressful for all of them. Or maybe should I rethink the way I add one.. say, hold out for someday finding an already-neutered boar (very rare in my area) instead of getting a baby boar and settling him in on the other side of cage bars for a frustrating few months while we wait for him to be cleared to cohabitate post-surgery? I just want what is best for the girls long-term so I was going to move forward with any plans sooner rather than later so no one gets too much older and set in their ways. My dominant girl though is VERY set in her ways.. she is already a whole vibe! But maybe everyone that has a herd of this many sows has them all go a little bonkers for a couple days every month and this isn't much of an indicator of anything? Thanks so much for any advice!

Due to space constraints on my Macbook, I want to get an external SSD to store the libraries and to edit from in iMovie. I was just wondering if this setup I am looking at will suffice, speed wise.
I have a 2017 Macbook Pro (i7, 16GB RAM) and I am looking at a 480GB Sandisk Portable SSD which advertises 500MB/s read speeds. I am thinking I'd use a regular USB-C cable (don't know if my Mac has Thunderbolt 3 or if that is even necessary if it does).
Is this going to be sufficient for my use case? Or will I need something faster?

So I recently went out to this one bar I forgot the name of it. But I’m white and I see a lot of other white people and military go into this bar. Upon going in. I drink and I see this person was assuming working there go up to one of my buddies and he/she starts to harass not only him but another customer as well. They start to bash and yell at the customers repeatedly to the point where my buddy was going through something and just puts down the whole mood of the bar. I’m never going there again, thank god I’m leaving soon. But idk if there’s discrimination at the bar or whatever. I just hope they fix that bar and how they treat customers there. Never in my life have I seen such a rude employee treat people that aren’t doing anything wrong go up to their customers and harass them. I forgot the bar name, but it’s in tumon. I hope that employee gets the life lesson of a lifetime taught to him. Cause shame on that bar.

I'm a PC gamer who has a PC which can smoothly run all of the big titles except Nintendo games as they are limited to Switch (unless you emulate them) and I am deciding whether or not I should invest in a Switch. I don't want the Lite because of the non replaceable joy cons, and I don't want the original Nintendo Switch because of it's short battery life, so I am considering buying a redbox (2019) Switch, as the OLED screen that the latest switch has does not bother me since I have a 21 inch 144hz monitor which I will be plugging it into. Should I do it? Especially with the Switch 2 coming out.
