Hello, this just for greater good. I've got mine ACL & meniscus operated on 13 Jan. I am hoping for the good results. This community indeed helped me navigate my problem & with plausible solution. Feel like I should contribute back to the community. Hence I am writing this post.
I don't know where are you guys from but I have seen multiple queries like:- 1) "I got injured in Nov the MRI report is came in Jan.", meanwhile I go back to routine work till cartilage wears down & now it's paining. 2) "I exactly don't know what my doc did to my knee, discharge summary just says operated on knee. I am walking next day." Non weight bearing stage???? What type of medical service is that.
I am from Delhi,India & I got injured on 28th of Nov, visited a doc on the same day. Doc recommended MRI. Got it done on same day around 8 PM. Received the conclusive report on next day i.e 29th Nov evening. On 30th I visited doc again & he suggested complete bedrest & surgery after 15-20 days due to bone contusion. Meanwhile we consulted 6-7 doc if surgery is necessary & got mine on 13th Jan.
This came to my mind why don't you guys come to India to get treated. I mean cost of surgery is cheaper but quality is good & here in India dollar parity keeps you afloat.
The basic cost of treatment in US for ACL is 12,000 to 15,000$. I got mine treated under $4500 from a good hospital. If you can spend ~$8000 you can afford some of the India's best surgeon. In essence, you & your family of 3 can plan a trip to India. You get operated, while they get to try vegitarian delicacy. Get 3-4 week of physio & head back to your country all under 15000$.

 | Found this in my grandmother’s sheet music from Bethel (1987). My family was heavily involved in the church growing up. My parents worked in the youth ministry and mom/grandparents sang in the choir. We attended up until Bill took over in the 90s. I remember it so vividly because we had been so involved up until then. Bill had called everyone (employees) into the sanctuary to discuss the vision for the church. He said the Holy Spirit was moving… and began to touch the heads of everyone and as he would touch them, they fell. One by one down the line they fell to the ground. And then he got to my mom. He touched her head and she did not fall. He later called her into his office and said he just didn’t feel like she wanted to be part of the new direction. And then he fired her. Years of attending, of service, she was so upset. She told me she just couldn’t fake it and put on a performance for him. We never went back. 2025.01.24 05:27 Major_Leopard2372 AITAH for getting mad that my boyfriend keeps saying I'm gaslighting him?
My boyfriend (21M) and I (19F) have been together for almost 3 years. Recently we have been playing Ark and we have been calling while we play. If you don't know what ark is it's sort of a dinosaur sandbox game. Anyways, today while we were playing he kept telling me to come back and help him and I for some reason thought that meant I need to pick him up with my dinosaur so we can fly home. When I do that he starts getting mad/upset saying that isn't what he said to do. I insist that that is what he said to do, but it isn't, which is my fault and I own up to it. However, he says multiple times that I'm gaslighting him. I tell him that I am not gaslighting him and it was just a misunderstanding and he insists I am gaslighting him. I explain to him that gaslighting isn't just some light thing to throw around and it's an actual manipulation tactic usually used by emotional abusers, but he says that no gaslighting is on a spectrum it doesn't need to be that serious. I guess I'm just asking AITAH for getting mad that he isn't taking me serious and saying I am gaslighting him when it was all a misunderstanding? I just don't want to be associated with being a gaslighter :/

This may be stupid given it is genuinely the nature of our jobs but how do you deal with aggressive patients. I’ve been in psych nursing for 3 years now and I still feel myself get nervous when patients are amping up-whether it leads to a code or not. Do you feel nervous/scared still when dealing with aggressive patients? Does it ever go away? I know my coworkers will be there in half a second to help me deal with a situation but even after a restraint is all said and done I experience my hands shaking when starting to do the paperwork. Any tips or words of wisdom?
