I have around an 80 VSI. You know that eyesneck test that everyone does well on? I got a 15/50 on that.
I likely have dyspraxia. I am inapt in many settings pertaining to motor. My full-scale IQ is likely 105-120. Thankfully, I know exactly what this means. I just wanted to share, uwu.

Hi all! I used to do OTF in college for like 3 months. I liked it, but eventually left because it was so expensive. Fast forward to now, where I’m more financially stable and trying to focus more on my health (holistically!) Do you guys feel like OTF is too high intensity for you, where it has increased your cortisol levels? I’m in medicine and know that if you stress the body too much (physically or mentally) it can increase cortisol, and if chronic, that can cause adrenal fatigue. I feel like I’m just starting to get myself level again, so I don’t want to risk that. But, at the same time, I have always hate hate HATED like ALL exercise. Something about it is just misery to me! I know I need to be active and OTF is the closest I’ve come to enjoying exercise, probably because I don’t have to think about what to do at all! Would love any input!

Steep price tag at around $1k, but willing to pull the trigger to help sort and list my bulk.
It’s the most “affordable” option regarding card sorting machines, that I’ve researched.
I see sports card shops use it while penny sleeving or toploading cards for eBay. Curious if anyone has dealt with any damage caused by sending raw cards through it.

En el discurso político y mediático, se habla constantemente de la pobreza: reducirla, combatirla, erradicarla. Pero, curiosamente, se ignora casi por completo el tema de la desigualdad. ¿Por qué? Porque hablar de desigualdad implica hablar de lucha de clases, algo que incomoda a quienes tienen más que perder.
Pensemos en Chile, un país donde la desigualdad es una de las más altas de la OCDE. Según datos del Banco Mundial, el 1% más rico concentra el 26,5% de los ingresos, mientras que el 50% más pobre apenas supera el 2%. Entonces, no es solo que haya pobreza; es que la riqueza está concentrada en pocas manos, y eso genera un desequilibrio estructural que no se soluciona simplemente "sacando a la gente de la pobreza extrema".
¿Por qué se insiste en hablar de pobreza y no de desigualdad? Aquí algunas razones:
- La pobreza es un problema técnico, no político. Hablar de pobreza permite que los gobiernos y las élites la presenten como un problema "neutral", algo que se puede resolver con subsidios, programas sociales o caridad. En cambio, la desigualdad exige cuestionar quién tiene demasiado y por qué. Ahí es donde entran los impuestos progresivos, la redistribución de la riqueza y los conflictos con los poderosos.
- La desigualdad evidencia la lucha de clases. Hablar de desigualdad significa reconocer que existe una élite que acumula riquezas a costa de la precariedad de las mayorías. Es mucho más fácil culpar al pobre de su situación ("no se esfuerza", "es flojo") que admitir que el sistema económico beneficia estructuralmente a unos pocos.
- La pobreza es medible, la desigualdad es incómoda. Es más fácil medir cuántas personas viven con menos de $5,5 USD al día que cuestionar por qué un CEO gana 300 veces más que un trabajador promedio. En Chile, por ejemplo, la diferencia salarial entre los altos ejecutivos y el resto de los trabajadores es una de las más altas del mundo, pero pocos quieren hablar de eso.
- Enfocarse en la pobreza mantiene el status quo. Hablar de pobreza extrema como "el verdadero problema" implica que el sistema actual funciona, solo necesita ajustes. Pero la desigualdad cuestiona ese sistema desde su raíz, y eso no conviene a quienes están en la cima de la pirámide.
En 2022, según la Fundación Sol, el 70% de los trabajadores chilenos ganaba menos de $550.000 líquidos mensuales, mientras que los directores de grandes empresas podían recibir sueldos superiores a $30 millones.
El sistema tributario chileno es uno de los menos redistributivos de la OCDE. Los súper ricos apenas pagan un 2% de impuestos sobre sus ganancias reales.
Mientras tanto, el 10% más pobre gasta más del 30% de su ingreso en productos básicos y endeudamiento, perpetuando su situación de precariedad.
La pobreza, aunque grave, es solo una consecuencia de un problema mayor: la desigualdad. Pero mientras la conversación se mantenga centrada en "ayudar a los pobres" y no en redistribuir la riqueza o cuestionar las estructuras de poder, seguiremos atrapados en un sistema que perpetúa la injusticia.

I was planning to buy an iphone this year but now idk how long will this screen last will have to buy in first quarter mp. My parents said I can buy if I want ....but I will to have to buy on EMI not that I cannot buy from my salary but because I send some amount of money from my salary at home. Now I am having this guilt that I will have a new phone but where as my mom is using an old phone that does not even support 5g so should I buy her an new phone instead and wait on mine a little more or the vice-versa?

Mostly I'm talking about how, when you're going to deploy the Nullwave Device, January creates an hypothetical future by saying something along the lines of this:
"Assuming Alex's plan succeeds, then what? You're taking a massive gamble that there aren't more predators like the Typhon. In the history of the universe humans have only recently become self-aware. Yet you're going to kick the door open on a much wider, older cosmic ecology. One that feeds on consciousness. These are shark infested waters. Alex belives we can be the bigger shark, but what if we're just poor swimmers and now there's blood in the water?"
Aside from the obvious implications of the ending and how this is all a simulation, this got me really thinking... There's no really a feasible way that January could know that deploying the nullwave would stir up other predators since the Typhon is the only race we have found that does that. The hypothesis that similar beings that are even more dangerous could be out there is just a shot in the dark. But fine, let's assume we exist in a universe that, as they put it, preys on consciousness. That lifeforms in planets develop their self-aware skill-tree and yadda yadda and then other lifeforms attempt to erradicate that now-conscious species. If that's the ultimate cycle of the """cosmic ecology""" then either
- There isn't anything we can do to actually stop bigger, smarter, deadlier higher-lifeforms from one day coming and devouring the entire human-race, even if we somehow manage to harness the powers of the Typhon.
- There IS something we can do to avoid that fate and assimilating the Typhon is not only the millenia old saying "survival of the fittest", but also is very likely to give us an advantage in facing these so-called sharks since we'll have the powers of two species combined.
TLDR January's arguments are based on pure guessing much like they accuse us of and since the damage is already done trying to harness the Typhon is just the better option in nearly all angles.

Has anyone seen any medical episodes from Kirsten the last 2 days? I've not seen too much of her whilst she's been public but saw her at about 4.30 this morning and she took herself off before needing to do her meds at 5am.
I'm guessing she will be on her best behaviour and not wanting potentially 100s of people ringing for an ambulance if she were to have a medical episode whilst live and public. If that's the case I can't remember the last time there's been no "seizures" or "hypos" for 2 days running..... Funny that.
