Hey guys, so I am supposed to do my placement for this coming tri 1 2025 which is supposed to start on March 4. the placement is a total of 560 hours, so one whole sem. Now the problem is, there is currently a shortage in placement allocations despite them already approving our sonia and other documents such as CV and cover letter. I am well aware that allocation are based off GPA and higher GPA is given the most or first priority.
However, most of the students have already received theirs while i am still yet. It is a bit concerning since they did say at first place they'll have enough labs for the students to be placed. But by the looks of it (1 month remaining) and how the professor even said there is a possibility that some students may do it next tri, it seems worrying. I am an international student, so thus cant afford to delay this as it will be costly in terms of visa and everything in general. with that said, shouldnt they be responsible for ensuring all students should have a place allocated? Especially since after months of extensively completing sonia requiements lol.

So I want to say first that I love my husband deeply. He’s a wonderful man with a tender heart. Around 2.5 years ago I started to have intense abdominal pain and after much testing and drugs and different interventions, I found out that it is IBS. And it’s stress-related.
I started to kinda think about what is stressing me out in my daily life and other than the very obvious daunting, everyday pressures of having to work and pay bills to live a life I never asked for (sorry lol I think about that all the time), I feel like I also am overwhelmed with this feeling that I’m never alone. Over the summer I had to live in a different city for a month in an apartment by myself and I didn’t miss my husband. I was also wildly busy - from the moment I woke up until my head hit the pillow. But I liked that I didn’t have to be forced to interact with anyone. And I could just be really fucking weird without having to explain myself.
And it really has nothing to do with who my husband is, but more like… the demands of socializing. He also does this thing where he has really prolonged goodbyes when he lives for work and I’m just like OH MY GOD JUST LEAVE. Lol idk there’s something about the lingering to me 😂
Anyway. Anyone here living with a partner and having a tough time with the masking? With feeling like you just want to be alone for a few weeks lol

Newly diagnosed here so I'm not sure if this is an autism thing or a me thing, but I get SO uncomfortable when people ask me to talk about the way I'm really feeling, or how I feel about someone.
I have to write wedding vows for my wedding next week and I've been putting it off for so long. I love my partner, but the thought of writing out my emotions and saying them out loud in front of people physically hurts and makes me want to throw up.
I am also not ready to hear my partner's vows because I know I will burst out crying uncontrollably.
I feel so alone and weird for this.
I also feel stuck because I know we have to exchange vows and I just don't know what to do.
Is this an autism thing? Does anyone have any experience with this or advice?

I bought an item for $200 using “pay in 4” and had already made 2 payments as item was coming from overseas. It arrived not as described and seller promptly refunded me.
It shows “pending” amount for my 2 installments I made as well as the shipping amount back to them. However, automatic payments just took another payment.
Will I get my full $200 back or just take the loss and only get back what the seller refunded me? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’m freezing and don’t know why
We added onto our house so that my disabled sibling had a main floor bathroom and bedroom with a lift and tracking system. That required adding a second furnace.
Last year, the inspector came in and flagged both furnaces because they had cracks in them. That led to us getting both replaced.
The main furnace was replaced first. We had to call them back in though, because we smelled gas around it that night.
Then, the second furnace was replaced by a newly built one.
Both thermostats were replaced by Google Nest.
However, this winter, I’ve been freezing while staying in the small living room built as part of my sibling’s addition. It’s cold in there, and I have a space heater going.
I’ve noticed that the thermostat shows it’s set to 72-74, or whatever I set it for. However, it shows something like 66-69, then a trail to 72, for example.
We called the company and they sent someone in on Monday. He checked the furnace, said it was fine and said we would see an error code. He then checked the thermostats and deleted our programming. He asked why it went down to 68 at night, and said just to keep it at 72.
He also said to set it up with my phone. According to him, if the Nest doesn’t sense someone walking by for a while, the furnace turns off. It thinks you’re not home. By having a phone linked with it, it knows you are home. But what are seniors and sleeping folks supposed to do?
Anyway, it was fine after he left. My dad went away for a month and I’m looking after the house.
My new phone was defective, so I had to get a new one on Wednesday. Ever since then, the thermostat has been acting up again and the furnace isn’t coming on much.
It is programmed to always be 72, but it’s showing 66 or 69 at most, then a trail to 72. And I’m cold.

I’m getting closer to my 40s. Because of my athletic background, I have a bad knee and a slightly bad hip. I’ve noticed they’re more likely to act up once I go past a certain mark on the scale, actually had to lose some weight for the first time in my life to figure it out.
Right now I feel like I want to build strength without putting on a lot of mass. I’m kinda happy with how my body composition seems to be, but the way I’ve understood it is that being stronger should reduce joint pain. The last time I checked, my body fat is at a healthy 15%, so I don’t think I have that much room to recomp without changing scale weight.
Do I need to build muscle to protect my joints, or is the additional mass going to be a problem? I know I should be doing low reps / high weight if I just want to increase raw strength in the form of motor unit recruitment, but I also feel like I need to do higher volume stuff to keep up with the strength endurance I need for my physical job.

30 F - I’ve been taking the Jarrow Formulas “Jarro-Diphilus EPS” for about a month now. I have a relatively healthy diet and am active almost every other day, but I’ve recently noticed that I’m gaining quite a bit of water weight.
