Hi guys, I'm a little paranoid and don't know what to do so I come here for questions.
I was eating with a friend, its been a while since we caught up. And after out appetizers (we shared the food, no contact that I know of), he revealed to me he got mono about 6 months ago and lasted like 3 weeks.
Will I be infected? He has no symptoms anymore, but i read it is dormant. Could you kiss family or partners after having it before? What is the nature of this?

Please forgive me in advance idk how to set this out but I am looking for advice.long read ahead because I feel context plays abit into this.
I met my best friend in year 7 high school and we've been best friends ever since. We've now been friends for 11 years. She was always the friend that was known for being MIA during high school and to some social gatherings. We had a big friendship group but out of 7 girls we ended up being the closest. After we graduated high school I ended up getting a job where she worked. We didn't work together but we worked around each other and I would see her pretty often. We were close and would always hang out but she did have her "ghost" stages where I wouldn't hear from her for 2 weeks at most but other than that she would always end up getting back to me. I understood her ghost stages and our friendship was always how it left off every time we did get to actually hang outside of work. Fast forward to last year Jan, i found out I was pregnant. Out of my family and friends she was the very first person I told about this pregnancy. I was still working during the pregnancy and would see her often at work but I kinda felt things have changed. Would also like to mention she took me to my first doctors appointment where I did consider abortion. Anyways I chose to keep my baby and after that I didn't really hear much from her. I thought maybe she was going through things so I would try call and text and would not get a reply, so I just accepted it as she's going through a "ghosting stage". I tried to make plans to hang out but it seemed like she was always too busy. That was by far one of the most life changing years of my life and she was absent during it.she also said she would come to my baby shower and didn't show up or tell me she couldn't make it. and I never heard from her since then. (August last year) I gave birth October. She messaged me Jan 10 saying happy new year she wants to reconnect & catch up. Idk how to feel...I was already going though so much and felt like my best friend just ghosted me during this whole time. I miss her but at the same time, I'm just so cut, should I reconnect? Advice please
