I am a student trying to get a new computer. My old laptop got fried and I have been waiting for months to get a new one. So currently I have researched a couple of neat laptops and a pretty fire desktop that I have planned by myself. My budget is 1.1k dollars at most, and anything over that, like anything, even 20 dollars over the budget is a huge no no. I still prefer cheaper options over fully using it though because I’m still a student.
I usually move around quite a bit, and no, if I get a laptop I won’t be using it for school, so battery life and mobility won’t be too much of an issue as I already have an M1 MacBook Air to do the job for me. Though, I travel a bit and would prefer to have something to do whilst going to another country.
Though, I still would prefer laptops since it’s easier for me to move it around IF I need to. Im still deciding and I’m kinda stuck. Anyways, here are the specs to the best laptops and desktop deals I have found. Oh yeah I’ll just list the general specs so you get the idea, I won’t be listing the power supply and cases and fans. Also I did salvage a couple of RAM sticks and a 512g and a 1T ssds.
Desktop (1114 dollars) -AMD RX7700xt OC Sapphire Pulse White -AMD 7600X -MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi -32 Gigs Lexar DDR5 6400MHz
Laptops (900-1.1k dollars) -HP Omen i7 13650HX and RTX 4070 (1.1k dollars) -Colorful Meow R15 R9 7940HS and RTX 4070 (900 dollars)
Which one do you recommend? I am seriously doubting the desktop choice now. I don’t have 2k monitors at home and my main monitor is still a 1080p 60hz monitor so if I buy that I will probably get a new monitor for more money. The laptops all come with a 240hz 2.5k monitor.

I've just found the most gorgeous flat that I have the intention of buying. I've never purchased a flat before and the real estate agent told me I should offer 15% over asking price. I'm not sure if he's wanting more commission on the property or if that's standard for the area (area being Hyndland). Any ideas would be helpful. Is 15% over cheeky or standard for the area?

Hey, I have been working with the MERN stack for the past four months. However, I feel like my learning has stagnated, and I’m looking for an internship at a startup where I can break and rebuild things or for this reddit , in a SaaS.
The markets are very challenging right now and every job offer is receiving hundreds if not thousands of application , so i want to work somewhere where i just gotta code and not think about somebody taking my job, i want to code because i love to code .
As for my skills, I’m strong in frontend development and currently learning backend. I’ve completed two full projects and exploring Docker in depth. I would love to work in an environment where I get to tackle challenging problems. All I need is a senior developer who can guide me when I get stuck.
I’m not expecting a high salary at the start, but something that allows me to sustain myself would be great. I understand that I’m still in my learning phase, so I don’t want to be unreasonable about compensation.

In the video, I'm constantly moving the mouse, but it gets stuck after I release the click.
The problem is that after I release the point on the Tone Curve on Lightroom, the pointer is stuck for a small second. On the trackpad is fine (because I need to release the trackpad), but using the click on the mouse and the trackpad for movement I get the same result. It's not just Lightroom, I'm also having the same problem in Premiere Pro.
