2025.01.24 18:23 Thehurricane22 Built new pc, cant have EXPO and PBO enabled at the same time
Just finished building, flashed bios, all chipset and needed drivers installed. Decided I would turn on EXPO because it was only showing 4800mhz our of my 6000mhz being using. Also turned on PBO thinking there would be no issues. Problem is when both are on, my computer boots, I enter in my passcode and my desktop loads up, but not all programs will load, and if i try to do anything like open chrome, or an application, it will not happen. I cant Ctrl/alt/del, i really cant do anything. Steam pops up with a webclient error for some reason. If i only have 1 enabled in Bios , my computer boots up and runs great.
Would love to be able to enable both of these if anyone could help.

I drove for uber last year. Enough to file taxes over, and I don’t exactly know how to. I also drove for DoorDash a bit as well, also enough to file for. With both of those combined, and after business expenses like mileage and such, it doesn’t break 10k. I’m wondering if I should even bother with filing. It wouldn’t be my first time not worrying about it but Id like to not get a knock on my door lol. Any pointers here? I never had anyone teach me how to do 1099.

I am looking to upgrade my monitor and I am having a hard time finding something better than what I am currently using at the size I am looking for.
I have a 42 inch LG OLED CX that I have had for a few years. I like the size because I play a lot of single player games as well as MP games and on a smaller monitor I just don’t feel as immersed in the single player games. I use this for my PC(4090 - i9- high end) and for console games.
I have been doing some research trying to find a massive improvement over what I have and nothing is really sticking out. I have seen a couple ultra wides that I was considering but they are 1440p.
Maybe I am missing something out there in my research. Does anyone have any recommendations of monitors to look at that would be a step up?

The description states the cookware has ‘never been used, has been hung up on show’ and says they ‘must be 25 years old’ The mark on the underside of the pan is said to be from cellotape during storage. Do they seem legitimate? I’m not sure about the mark on the bottom, almost seems like a fake copper ‘shell’ on the underside? Handles are said to be brass. We want new plasma donors to be more informed and become safer donors. I have solid advice for new plasma donors who may be considering to try it out, earn extra money, and save lives:
- Plasma is 92% water and the rest is protein elements and electrolytes. With proper protein consumption and electrolyte drinks, your body is able to fully replenish the plasma you lost from donating within 24 to 48 hours. And that's a key reason there's a 48 hour wait in-between your two possible weekly donations.
- The plasma is separated from your blood and your red blood cells are returned to you in cycles.
- Per FDA regulations, you're only allowed to donate plasma twice in a 7 day period, with a 48 hour wait in-between those two times. Don't risk your health by hopping around to different plasma donation centers to circumvent these regulations, and you may get caught if you do.
- Eat a meal high in protein 2-3 hours before donating, but your plasma protein levels depend on what you ate the day before.
- Drink plenty of water and/or non-caffeinated juice before donating to stay hydrated. It's important to stay hydrated at least the day before, and the day of your donation.
- Avoid caffeine such as in coffee or soda before donating or you may get nauseous and vomit or faint during your donation.
- No alcohol 24 hours before, and for a little while after donating.
- No exercising for at least 6 hours after donating as it can put too much stress on the vein.
- Some people get away with smoking or vaping nicotine before and after donating, but it's recommended not to for 2 hours before and after. The nicotine can raise your heart's pulse rate.
- If your pulse rate is 100 or above, you'll be able to do a vitals retake after a 15 minute wait. But if it's 100 or higher again you'll be deferred for the day. Taking sort of slower but deep breaths for 10 to 15 minutes before getting your vitals taken should help lower your pulse rate. If your pulse rate is an issue, listen to "Pink Noise" or "Green Noise" at a low volume before donating which may help reduce your pulse rate, along with its effect on lowering your blood pressure.
- There is a risk of getting a blown vein if the worker is having a hard time finding your vein when they're sticking you with the needle or if you have small veins. You may get deferred until your vein heals if that happens. But it's ok, your body is able to regenerate your veins with a process called Angiogenesis.
- There is a risk of blood clots, but when your blood is constantly moving through the machine it prevents that from happening.
- You may be subject to drug screening. The drug screening tests for methamphetamines, cocaine, and heroin. Certain pharma prescription meds may show up as a false positive so you'll want to let the plasma center know what meds you're taking. Testing positive for these drugs can result in a permanent deferral from donating plasma.
- A sample of your blood will be drawn periodically to test for certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs). A positive test will result in either a temporary or permanent deferral from donating plasma. If you've ever been diagnosed or received treatment for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B (HBV) or Hepatitis C (HCV) you will be permanently deferred from donating plasma.
Individuals with well-controlled diabetes can contribute to plasma donation, but certain criteria need to be met:
Absence of Complications: This means no existing diabetic complications affecting your kidneys, heart, blood vessels, or eyes.
Insulin Independence: If you rely on insulin for diabetes management, a three-month waiting period is required after using needles for non-prescribed medications. Additionally, you must be free of symptoms or treatment needs related to blood sugar fluctuations (high or low) for the past three months.
- Healthy Feet: Active foot ulcers requiring medical attention will disqualify you from donation.
- Steady Balance: You shouldn't experience dizziness or lightheadedness upon standing.
- Type 1 Consideration: For Type 1 diabetics, eating within two hours of donation is mandatory.
- Wait a few hours before taking the bandage wrap off of your arm after donating.
- It's recommended to use Vitamin E oil/Mineral oil on the needle site for the puncture area to heal better. A Q-tip can be used to apply it easier. I simply dip the Q-Tip in the bottle, but never dip the used cotton back into the bottle.
- Frequently donating over a prolonged period of time may lead to your body having decreased vitamin D levels.
- Red meats are particularly high in the protein vitamins and minerals found in plasma.
- Personally, I take a Now brand Vitamin D supplement that contains vitamin D3, Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. But I only take a half a dose, 1 gel capsule instead of 2, since I get these from eating meats and other foods as well. It's bad for your health if you take too much of these vitamins and minerals over time. I also take an Iron supplement once or twice a week. I also try to drink a protein shake before donating. Just to be safe.

Hi there first time posting just looking for advice , a border fence is basically in the process of falling down , onto our side , ( we own our house and on the other side some flats owned by a property management ) we rang them and they basically said to my wife because the better looking side of fence is on our side that it belongs to us and they don’t have to pay or even pay half to get it mended Which I have never heard of before I am just wondering if this is correct At current moment we can’t access the land registration as of writing as I am currently at work This fence has looked unstable for while partly because trees on there side have being pushing against it and after two years we finally got them to cut them back

We just bought our first home, and we've been spoiled by having a heat pump in the unit we rent, so I wanted to know what it would take to install a heat pump in our new place. I took a look at Consumer Reports via the library and saw they recommend several specific brands at prices surprisingly comparable to a gas furnace (8k median, though that's nationwide including LCOL areas). The one on our current place is a Mitsubishi, which wasn't on the CR list. I started looking around the neighborhood and posts here and found most seem to be Mitsubishi. Also that the prices were way higher than Consumer Reports suggested.
Discussions I've seen and been part of here say it's because we're in a very high cost of living place. That's clearly part of it but I also talked to an HVAC contractor yesterday (wearing a Mitsubishi branded jacket, no less) and found out another reason: Mitsubishi is the only brand Seattle authorizes for its clean energy rebate (currently for oil heater conversion only) and because of non-compete clauses, there's only one authorized dealer for Mitsubishi systems in the state. Mitsubishi is apparently already one of the most expensive brands as they make all of their components in-house. So most of the installers here work (exclusively?) with Mitsubishi to get the rebate business and can only buy from the one supplier who can charge whatever they want. I asked about buying a different brand independently and hiring someone to install it and the HVAC guy was skeptical. He compared it to bringing a raw steak into a restaurant and asking them to cook it for you.
Does this seem like an accurate read on the situation or are there aspects I'm missing? If it's accurate, is there anything the city can do about it to bring the price of heat pumps and installation down so more people here can afford it, like accept other brands for their rebate program?
