I’ve been running into two consistent problems this week, and I’m curious if others are experiencing the same:
- Respawning Delays at Ruin Station: After dying and respawning at my home location (Ruin Station), there’s a significant delay before I can interact with anything. First, I have to wait for all contract prompts to appear, which takes some time. After that, I have to wait an additional 60-300 seconds before I’m allowed to lower the medbed and stand up. Once I do get up, interactions with my clothing, the med hangar door, or elevator buttons are extremely delayed—up to 5 minutes or no response at all. If I alt+F4 and reconnect to the same server, everything works without delay.
- Login Roulette: Logging in has become a gamble. Sometimes I get stuck in an infinite loading screen with odd console prompts (e.g., “AI pilot killed by X ship”), other times it’s just a very long load, and occasionally I load in within a few minutes. If it takes longer than 5 minutes, I alt+F4 and try again, but this sometimes results in being forced onto a random server, like AUS, even though I picked EU. I can still log in, but it’s strange to be redirected like that. As a test, I left the infinite loading screen overnight—it stayed on the loading screen for 2 hours before switching to a black screen with only the cursor visible.
Anyone else dealing with similar issues or have insights on this?

Hey everyone, at the moment I’m 19 years old, almost 20. Since 17 I was researching stocks and wanted to daytrade. When I turned 18 I got lucky with my first trades, after that I made stupid mistakes. I realized I shouldn’t rush it and just invested in ETF’s. Right now I have a portfolio of 10k, I started with 8k. (I know these aren’t results you should expect, this was done within a year, I just got lucky with the market I think) 40% is in the S&P 500, another 40% in a World ETF and 20% in a Dividend ETF. Right now I’m in lawschool and work a sidejob, with which I can pay living expenses, but can’t save/invest a whole lot. I get paid around 500 euros a month. I live in Europe, so I don’t have something like a RothIRA. Now I’m wondering if it’s best to keep my portfolio like this, or if I should diversify in a different way. And if I manage to save some money to invest, what would be the best way to invest it? Thanks in advance.

2025.01.24 11:20 Pure_Option_1733 How would a dichromat or an monochromat answer the question of “Can you find at least 3 very distinct colors that are about equally light or dark and about equally faded or vibrant?”
One way I would describe normal color vision is that it’s possible for many colors to be about equally light or dark and about equally vibrant or faded but still distinct from each other in terms of hue. For instance I can have the most vibrant red, green, orange, blue, and violet be about as light or dark as each other and they will still look very distinct from each other as they have different hues. I cannot change a red into a yellow by simply adjusting how light or dark it is and how faded or vibrant it is, and the same is the case for blue, green violet, or any color of the rainbow.
From what I understand about color blindness a dichromat could find 2 distinct colors that are about as light or dark and about equally as faded or vibrant. For instance a deuteranope could find a blue and a green that are about equally light or dark and about equally faded or vibrant but which they perceive as very distinct colors. A dichromat however could not find 3 distinct colors that they would experience as what those of us with normal color vision would call equally faded or vibrant or equally light or dark. A monochromat could not find 2 distinct colors that they would experience as what those of us with normal color vision would call equally light or dark. I’m wondering though if a dichromat or monochromat would say that they can’t find 3 colors they perceive as being about equally light or dark or equally faded or vibrant. I mean I might imagine that dichromacy, for instance, would also affect the language someone uses to describe which of their color perceptions correspond to vibrant or faded colors from what perceptions correspond to how others describe colors. For instance I might imagine that a deuteranope might learn to refer to a color experience that most people with normal color vision would refer to as a gray as being a vibrant color because most people call it a vibrant color because it corresponds to cyan. I also might imagine that a dichromat or monochromat might assume the answer’s ”yes” because they use context to identify colors. I’m wondering then if asking asking oneself this question would be useful for someone to figure out if they have dichromacy or monochromacy.
