2025.01.24 13:10 TheFreeHugger It is possible to "export" a Solver configuration to another platform (Python i.e.)?
Hello there! I've been assigned to a project where we are migrating a number of old Excel documents to a new platform. The thing is that these spreadsheets have the Solver add-in enabled and it performs a set of calculations to determine some costs.
I've never worked with this add-in before, but from what I've been researching, the task it performs is pretty "simple." You give it a target, some variables, and some constraints, and it returns a set of values for the variables that give you the result and meet the constraints you've given.
With the new platform it is not possible to use Excel's Solver to obtain these costs, so from what I have seen I will have to implement a script in Python, since it has libraries with which to optimize functions (which I understand is the same thing that Solver does).
Does anyone know of a method to export the Solver configuration so that it can be imported into another system? I've been testing for a couple of days but I can't get the same results.

I’m having troubles with introducing two of my dogs to one another , I have a Pittie Mix and she’s turning one next month the other being a great white pyrenees who is seven.
My Pyrenees lived in Texas for most of his life with my grandparents he is very protective of the house and surrounding animals that came around it I’ve seen how he reacts to dogs his size but he’s very gentle with smaller dogs (my grandma had at least 4 other smaller dogs) so he doesn’t mind them very much but my pit is about medium size not small but not big I got her in April of last year then a accident happened where we needed to bring the Pyrenees down from Texas and take care of him my pit was about 6 months atp when he finally came down and I was weary since I’ve seen him be aggressive to others dogs he’s never gotten into a fight because someone was always there to stop him but it doesn’t make it any better.
They don’t growl at one another whenever he passes by her cage they are placed some what close to one another in the house so they know they aren’t strangers we’ve tried letting them sniff one another with muzzles and leashes so we can pull them away if anything goes wrong but my mother isn’t very strong with either dog so I always get a bit scared. My girl is a wild thing she nips and jumps and is overall crazy which is why I love her but the Pyrenees has never come into contact with a dog like that he’s use to calm he has lunged at her before when we’re letting them sniff another and that ended it there for me I didn’t want anything else to happen. My mother is getting fed up because she thinks is tiring to have to swap them out when they have to use the bathroom or when they eat .. and I feel like I’m depriving her of freedom and friendship with a new playmate because I’m worried something will happen if I’m not there and my mother won’t be able to pull them apart.
What do I do so I can lose that worry ? How can I get them acclimated?

Early in this entire interview NewsNation released, he says after 9/11 he “quite literally made a left hand turn at Albuquerque” - indicating he could have been driving north through New Mexico from White Sands to Albuquerque, and then west (left hand turn) to California as he says in the piece.
Maybe this is his way of getting around DOPSR to say he was working at White Sands before.

I'm not looking at potential leaks and have no idea what's likely to feature in the next game, and my only experience wuth this series so far is New Horizons, but i thought this would be a fun idea for a future game.
My idea is called Animal Crossing: Forest Kingdom
In a similar vein to building up our island, we're restoring buildings and amenities in a ruined castle town which Tom Nook has acquired to land rights to. The restored buildings can become villager houses or shops, the castle becomes the museum, stuff like that. As the town grows and improves you'd get to start changing the style of most buildings, allowing players to move away from the medieval/fantasy aesthetic if they choose.
The town would be surrounded by woodland that you and the villagers can explore, and and you could find visiting hikers to invite to move in. There could also be an inn building that allows visitors to stay in the town for a day and walking around town. There would still be a beach to the south for fishing and such, and there would be a dock where players could travel to visit each other by boat. I did think of a train at first, but I like the boat idea more.
I know having a forest setting could limit player creativity somewhat, i doubt you could easily make a desert themed town when surrounded by woodland, but i think it would be a nice setting nonetheless.
