So my life sort of turned upside down this past year and a bit, been jobless since Nov 2023/ a major surgery, haven't had a job since not for lack of trying (kinda hard to find an employer who'll take the 23 year old lady with a cane). Somewhere in the midst of the tornado I completely forgot about the existence of an old student credit card, which has now gone bad. It racked up a balance of 1.3k, and I got a letter from the bank in the mail this morning (January 24th), from December 19th, saying that if I don't pay the full balance by the end of December, I may be taken to court for the balance, or it may be sent to a collection agency - really loving the mail delays right now. What are my options here? I'm staying with family after losing my old place, I make just enough to pay my phone bill per month doing odd jobs, I could maybe pull another 50$ a month to give the bank- can you set up payment plans like that? Do I just go bankrupt? How would bankruptcy work in my situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So it's time for me to recertify. I have exercise science courses taken at a university that I would like to apply for CEUs, however:
- NASM does not recognize the actual university as a "listed provider" (instead, a million pseudoscientific websites are their preferred "listed providers") and it costs me $25 PER course that I want to add.
- I have no clue how many CEUs these classes are worth, which it's on me to input how many CEUs they are worth.
- Do I need to retest AFTER providing all the CEUs or do I just provide the 2.0 CEUs and I'm good to go?

Bought these on eBay and had a old commando John Rendenbach sole lying around and resoled them check them out I did the green staining at the bottom for fun 🤩 people talk about this new boot that new boot how about we just enjoy everything :) btw as a person who only used hard leather insoles having these to daily next to them and being a soft foam it’s worlds of comfort for my feet they get a little cushion break while still being on hard leather, oh did I mention I had the thicker double leathersole/ midsole added

I think for some time there has been a debate online about black men and college vs trade school. Not on here but online in general.
My two cents.
I think both are important. We know that the deck is stacked against black people and black men, in law and even medically. I would rather have a brother as the judge presiding over anotehr brother's case or a brother talking to another brother about what he can do to get his health together or examining his health issues. Because whites probably won't care and sometimes sisters won't either.
I'd also rather a black electrician work on my fuse box and tell me what's wrong because I'm hoping he'll give me the real and not up charge me and shit.
These are also places that we need to be to be financially stable so we can try to create lives for ourselves. Counting out one while championing another is like throwing away half a meal.

Hey there,
So basically i started following a descriptive set theory class in my math cursus, and it seems to be somehow connected to logic field, but i dont understand HOW ! I mean I can see how studying some specific spaces (like Cantor’s or Baire’s) is linked to how ordinals behave, but generally how is descriptive set theory useful in the field of logic ? Do you have any examples of logical theroems using Polish spaces or Borelians ?
I may have an idea of Logic that is too restraining but descriptive set theory seems way ahead of it (I only studied models theory, ordinals, and some computational semantics for now). I also heard a student saying that it has something to do with Calculability or Compexity of algorithms, and because im too shy to ask either him or my teacher, im ending here.
I hope my post does not look dumb, this is a genuine question, and im new to the logic gang. Have a Nice day !
