 | First time posting here. I've been trying to get better at cooking steaks and this was the first London Broil steak I've cooked. I mostly eyeball everything while cooking 6-7 minutes per side give or take. I don't know if thats how it should be done. I'm really critical of myself when it comes to cooking for others. I (26/M) am the sibling of someone with Bpd. My sister (29/F) has recently been diagnosed with the condition. I have noticed a pattern whenever she is going through a difficult time in her life. My sister constantly expects others to mirror her feelings. If she has a falling out with a work colleague she expects the family to be just as angry as she is. If we do not display that she accuses us of not taking her side. Although we do validate her and tell her that the colleague was in the wrong, but because we are not as angry as her she thinks we do not care.
Another example I can think about is that when she insisted on living with my other sister because she no longer wanted to live at home. My sister and her have a very fraught relationship. They spent years not talking. My sister declined her offer of moving in. My sister (the one with bpd) is very volatile when she gets angry, so my sister did not want her moving in with her. This greatly angered my sister. She accused my parents of not showing her empathy for the situation. I heard her saying to my mom “you don’t care, why didn’t you at least say sorry that I had to deal with being rejected by my own sister”. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is a very manipulative thing to say.
I hate to say this, but i hate having to deal with her whenever she has any problems in her life. It’s so exhausting. She expects us to be just as hurt as she is. She doesn’t spare us any detail and makes herself look like the victim even when she is sometimes in the wrong. If you do not show her the level of sympathy she expected then she thinks you are bad person.

2025.01.24 18:40 quikopoi Post-surgery Septoplasty/turbinate reduction oopses? What gonna happen to me??
tl;dr- I sneezed through my nose. Did I just negate $10K worth of surgery?
A few days into my recovery and my nose is deeply clogged.
Doctor's office says that I should nasal rinse on a regular basis but it's like spraying a garden hose at a locked door. I rinse and all the solution just falls out of my swollen nose. I keep trying but it's not helping.
So, I got a "surgery update" call from the hospital and I told them of my woes -- they said to try Afrin and perhaps a Nettie pot. I'm like ... no idea WTF a Nettie pot is, but before the surgery, I was addicted to Afrin so, cool ... I'll do that. Afrin relieved some of the pressure but still nose is full and gurgly if not just dripping snot blood. My nurse said "sniffling" is fine but try not to swallow blood because it will make me nauseous.
I kept changing the gauze mustache dressing and it caught a lot of the blood. Sleeping for Day 1, 2, and 3 was an absolute nightmare. I'm normally a side sleeper, but had to sleep on my back. Up every hour ... with a horrible dry mouth and deeply scratchy throat (that, apparently, was from the breathing tube during the surgery). I took the Norcos which were prescribed just to get some sleep but they just made me groggy with a scratchy throat, dry mouth, and complete inability to breathe through my nose.
All in all, the post-op instructions seem to be at odds with themselves. Don't blow your nose, but sniffing is ok. Don't sniff much or you'll swallow blood which will make you nauseous and that will make you puke. You don't want to puke blood during your recovery. Saline rinse is good but don't blow your nose. Nettie pots are good, but don't blow your nose. Don't sneeze, but if you do use only your mouth. I know you're addicted to Afrin and it is slowly destroying the inside lining of your nose, but feel free to use it after surgery.
Well... on day four, I went to get some coffee from the kitchen without my mustache dressing on ... and I suddenly SNEEZED. Now, all of the post-op instructions say "don't blow your nose for 2 frigging weeks" and for goodness sake, "try to not sneeze, but if you do, SNEEZE ONLY through your mouth." I ended up spraying bloody snot all over the kitchen floor and on my coffee maker.
Help. Did I fuck up my surgery??

We’re flying from Washington DC to the Maldives in March. Our flight is from DC to Abu Dhabi and then Abu Dhabi to the Maldives. We’re currently booked in economy. I’m not worried about the short flight from Abu Dhabi to the Maldives, but I would love to be able to upgrade to business from DC to Abu Dhabi; currently the upgrade bid minimum is $1270 per person - if I do the minimum for me and my husband, what’s the likelihood that we will win? I hate how the minimum is so high (in my opinion) so I’m wondering if I should skip the bed and ask when we check in.

2025.01.24 18:40 LostinDreemz_ My new flatmate is ultra obsessed with cleaning
Long story short: new flatmate moved in in beginning of January, after the old flatmate moved out (she was a really nice person and never caused any problems). But this new girl is hated by me and the other two flatmates, she’s obsessed with EVERYTHING being absolutely spotless, even though we all take turns in cleaning and washing up after ourselves, she’s never happy. Even if it’s spotless she’ll find something to complain over like, a single tiny speck of dust or crumb….So much so that none of us really want to cook anymore or we want to move out. Or she does.
I don’t want any solutions, I just want to vent.
Might I add, that she also has a cat that roams about everywhere and we don’t say anything to her regarding her cat.

I have an Excel sheet with 21 sheets in it. When I go into the VBA editor and look at the sheet properties, it gives me the name of the sheet. An example would be "Sheet100 (Instructions)" or "Sheet107 (Box Fill)". The sheets actually go from Sheet100 to Sheet120, with no breaks in the numbers, but every sheet has its own "tab name".
In my VBA coding, I have been able to easily access sheets using their "tab name" (e.g. Instructions or Box Fill). But what I would like to do is access the sheets using their numerical identifier (e.g. Sheet100 or Sheet107).
Here is the end goal. I have a sub routine I want to run on every sheet. So I am trying to setup a for loop to step from sheet to sheet. This is what I have in my head:

Just played 3 comp games in a row where players disconnected early-ish and never returned. There should really be some kind of penalty negation for losing games where someone disconnects before X% of the match is completed. Super annoying to have to surrender or just wait through a pointless game when it is 5v6 AND still get penalized for losing...

This may be a dumb question but for example with Hideme VPN you can torrent infinitly (of course with an speedlimit) and they don´t safe logs. I don´t see the problem with it. I think its safe.
