2025.01.24 19:51 Troq Should I focus on school after mistreatment at work?

Hello Reddit, I'm at a crossroads and could use some other perspectives.
Background:
I am 34 years old, I have been working at a car dealership for 7 years and I have worked my butt off from a porter to assistant parts manager. I have always been one of the few people in the service/parts department here that accomplishes things without having to be asked or things that are not necessarily my responsibility. My direct manager has gotten 2 promotions to now being Service manager, Parts manager, and the manager for our independent shop. He has done little to nothing to improve quality of life and manages the numbers but ignores his employees. He bragged to another employee that his raise was enough to pay for the Tesla Model 3 he just got in 2 years without affecting his lifestyle. Basic math tells us that was at minimum $20,000. I have had to beg for every raise I've gotten and so far they have only paid for my rent increase every year, not even general inflation.
For the 4 years I was in parts before I was promoted, the manager had never once done an inventory, I have convince him to do it over several weeks of constant nagging. Even then I was only able to convince him to do it once. Our inventory was consistently off making quoting parts obnoxious because you have to physically verify instead of trusting the system. I am likely on the spectrum undiagnosed but I have high pattern recognition and very close to a photographic memory. I have a strong mental view of the inventory and typically know what is correct in the system and what is not so I did not push harder than necessary for doing perpetual inventory every month. The month before I was promoted I got approval from higher management to do the inventory on my own and ended up with significant adjustments. When I finished, I heard from every manager involved, "dang that's a big adjustment, this might cause an audit", "wow when was the last time this was done", and "the person that was in charge of this years ago was cooking the books and making everything match up". After hearing these things, I immediately took a step back and did not want to be the one to cause an audit so I decided to stop counting for the year and start again fresh in January.
The 4 months in which I would not have been able to do inventory anyways as CDK (dealer program) got hacked and was out during the 2 weeks i would have done it, and it took the entire following month to recover, so again couldn't do it then. The month and a half I was out on family medical leave helping my father with metastatic lung cancer and end of life/spend time with him, of which he eventually passed away from. I had exactly one person ask me how I was and it was my 1 direct coworkesubordinate. Nothing from any sort of management or HR. I have been thinking of leaving here and looked elsewhere several times but have not been able to find anything equivalent without taking a pay cut to do more work so I have been sticking it out.
Fast forward to accounting doing end of year consolidation, and because I'm assistant manager now, I got an email asking why there are no adjustments. I relayed everything that help me come to my decision to wait and was met with an hour and a half reprimand from the fixed ops director who I had been in contact with for 4 years about the lack of management. In hindsight I should have simply asked someone if that was ok, but I didn't. I didn't think it was an issue since inventory was not something that had ever been done regularly in the past. After that meeting, my boss and the other parts manager both verbally said "wtf was that" and have since confirmed several times that was uncalled for and completely blown out of proportion. In this meeting, without actually saying it directly, I was accused of stealing and no longer being trustworthy and how disappointed they are. I have previously never had a write up or any sort of infraction or reason for them to think this.
I have given my all to this place, my heart and soul so to speak and until recently had nothing to show for it even though I could see myself and planned to be here for the foreseeable future. Since my father passed away I have been able to completely rid myself of debt and my car payment and have a decent nest egg that I was going to use to buy a house, but now am not sure I want to even be in this area anymore. I had also coincidentally started my college education to get into IT as I have always wanted to but never had the means or ability to get a foot in the door. The work I do daily is easy for me because I am quick, efficient, and have a good memory. This give me about 4 hours of down time a day at work that I can work on school. I had also gotten approval to do this. The base level data center technician in my area starts at $70k which is approximately what I'm making now. I am fully aware that having an income while going to school is ideal and not having a job at 34 is absolutely not ideal.
What I could use advice and perspective on is, would it be a sound judgement call to just call it quits with this company that clearly doesn't care about me? I would go to school full time to focus of finishing as fast as possible and getting into the industry instead of slowly working towards it while working in a different industry. I fully plan on getting a part time job as well and would be living with my mother. She would not be charging rent but I would of course still be paying for utilities and food and any other bills I am responsible for. To be honest I am scared to not have a job, but at the same time it would be really nice to get rid of the burnout and relax for a couple years.
TLDR; Work mistreated me after being a model employee for 7 years. I am already in school with plans to switch industries to IT/data centers. I have a $40k nest egg to lean on and will be getting a part time job or delivering for Amazon while being a student. Is it a good idea to quit my job to focus on school and switch industries at 34 years old?

2025.01.24 19:51 Adil-ULTRAGAMER Let's pretend our least favorite characters are our Favorite characters! I'll start:

Tsumugi Shirogane is an amazing character!
At first she's meh with calling herself plain. But when it comes to certain moments like Kaito insulting Ryoma for losing his will to live, she slaps him! And I absolutely love it!
In later chapters like chapter 4-6 she really stands out! She's a great support for Shuichi and her relationship with Gonta is wholesome!
She was a background character but then caught my attention when she contributed to the group and helped the others!
Her relationship with Maki in chapter 5-6 is interesting! Calling her a traitor, saying that she deserves to die. It was satisfying. Her lashing out at Maki was really something!
The party she held was fun as well!
Her mastermind reveal was heartbreaking which made me love her more. But it was kinda wholesome to hear Tsumugi say that Gonta was her most favorite character. If it weren't for her development, then I'd imagine she'd be the most hated character who feels like a plot device, but no! Tsumugi is an actual character who had a great arc, only for it to go down the drain and shock the players!
(P.S What I said was how I'd rewrite V3, or in this case, Shuichi's DLC route.)
